If I dominate bacon for Sunday brunch, is it okay to talk about it in here?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope that goes in the PWND forum -

damage really worth it?
[/ QUOTE ]
After a good Soul Drain I have had mine hit for over 100 pts against +2s. It isnt great damage especially on such a long recharge but the sound and animation rock IMO -

You do realize that 5% chance is the base chance Scrapper attacks have to crit right? I was amazed the other day when I was fighting a Roman Boss in the ITF and I had 5 crits in a row on my DM/SR. That was rolling that little 5% chance 5 times in a row.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm in agreement with your general point about the proc, but you should realize your chance to crit is higher than 5% on bosses and potentially higher still if you use one of the enhanced-crit attacks (like Eagle's Claw).
[/ QUOTE ]
Fair enough on the boss thing and I was using a DM so as far as I know the set doesnt have a higher Crit attack like Eagle/HeadSplitter/Soaring Dragon/Eviscerate.
For 1 slot, which plenty of builds can spare, I find this to be a good investment IF you can put it into something you use often anyway. If you slot in into a blast with a long recharge or one you dont use often, the slot would be less of a benefit.
The Gaussains chance for BU proc in Aim for my Defenders is highly noticeable since most of my Defenders debuff damage resistance somehow. The Decimation in Fire Blast on my Fire/Blaster is great since held I can spam Fire Blast. Last night in RV I was fighting an Elec/Therm Corruptor who drained all my end(good fights btw Sapper?) and with them hitting me with elec attacks once at zero I would only have end for a split second before they would keep tryin to bottom me out. For the last 15 seconds of the fight I as jumping around clicking Fire Blast(no blues) since it cost low end. The proc fired off on the first Fire Blast and the second came packing more of a punch followed by another to end the fight. -

5% chance for 5 seconds is just too weak. If it weren't Unique, it might be a different story. But as a Unique, it's a waste of a slot. Unless you want the set bonus which 6-slotting provides, that is the only condition under which you should ever slot this thing.
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? I guess the hundreds of Claws Scrappers who have recommending slotting it into Follow Up, including myself, are just doing it wrong. Cause a power I spam as an attack that gives me +damage/+tohit randomly giving me more +tohit/+damage is a bad thing.
I also have them slotted into Aim on most of my toons with access to Aim so sometimes it turns into Aim+BU. But again I guess wanting more damage and tohit when I am actually using a power for that specific reason is useless.
Giving someone advice and stating the only exception to the rule is your exception, is bad advice.

That was rolling that little 5% chance 5 times in a row. I have had this proc go off in Aim twice in a row and cant count how often I see another 100% damage boost. 5 seconds lets me get off 3 attacks on most every toon I have besides my Energy Melee and even then I would gladly take the added damage of 4 reds for my Energy Transfer or Total Focus any day of the week. It only cost 1 slot and fires off often if you put it into something you use often. -

I have a Claws Scrapper and am in the process of leveling him up, I would like to slot Evicerate and one more Aoe type attack, but I don't need Both Spin and Shockwave, can anyone give me their oppinion on these two attack's?
[/ QUOTE ]
My personal answer? Yes. Shockwave is a good opener, and also good for boss juggling. Spin is a nice power for large battles. Why not take both? Eviscerate's cone is so narrow your not bloody likely to hit more then 2 enemies at most usually, 1 more often then not.

Have you use the power lately? I hit 3+ all the time -
Tell ya what Batz, you get them to fix PvP and I will beat it for you

Make a mission with all LT class Freaks
Set the mission to have objects that the freaks attacke and cause ambushes
Make these object give buffs like those CoT crystals(+regen/+recovery)
Your SS/SR will great on an outdoor map like that since the ambushes herd themselves, freaks dont have vengeance and the objects will give you all the +end/+regen you could ask for. The regen willl help since you dont have a self heal too. You dont get drops for recipes but a good outdoor map of 3 or more will easily cap you for tickets each run so you can do a lot of random rolls.
As far as the TV mission goes I have farmed it a lot on a SS/EA w/ capped defenses and once you get 2 Veng stacked you are going to start getting hit. This isnt too much of a problem with LT/Min mobs but boss mobs with Veng can be nasty for Def toons. /EA has a minor heal its AoE end drain/recovery which helps since its a small per target heal but some insp usage will prob be required here and there.
My 2inf -
I made a DM/SR just for hard targets and it simply chews right through them. Does the same for AVs too just takes longer
-
[ QUOTE ]
I didn't know that AV/EBs resist the damage debuff, though.
[/ QUOTE ]
AFAIK they dont
Using DN against an AV works out very well since it lowers incomming damage which makes your resist that much better -
The proc used to fire off 100% of the time with just the cooldown phase stoppin it from being perma if you spammed the power it was in and did not miss the target
-
So I got my Claws/Regen almost to 45. I have been playing an all freak AE map with nothing but LTs and tons of ambushes when you get close to certain objects. The map is pretty fun to be honest and yields good xp/tickets since freaks get back up for another beating.
So anyway I decided to burn a respec and try the map out with Shockwave in place of Eviscerate for AoE damage. I ran the map twice and respeced right back into Eviscerate.
Since the 7' melee range was added I never have a problem hitting multiple targets with it and the damage is way higher than Shockwave. I liked the mitigation from the KB but when it came to defeat times, Shockwave slowed me down big time. When surrounded by mobs and using Eviscerate I saw, on very many occasions, critical hits drop 2-3 targest right off the bat. I always jumped in with Follow Up, Eviscerate, Focus, Follow Up, Spin then just rinse and repeat. Mobs melted away and I didnt have to chase anything anywhere. I never needed the extra mitigation from Shockwave since I have Tough+Resilience for some good resist and DP/IH/Recon if needed.
So IMO I would rather Evicserate. The added chance to crit and much higher damage appeal to me more than tagging a few more targes and tossing them around a little. I used to farm with a Spines/Dark Scrapper and maybe I have gotten so use to it that I can line up targets to get the most miles out of Ripper/Eviscerate.
Although I did have enough fun with Shockwave, I might try to fit it back in in a level 50 respec build but if I cant fit it I wont be dumping Eviscerate for it
Just my 2inf -

Corruptors actually benefit from the +Damage parts of the powers, MMs do not
[/ QUOTE ]
Just for the record a MM is him and his pets. Without its pets it isnt even a mastermind. So if his pets benefit then he benefits. It may not be the solo benefit because a mastermind is never really solo.
So you both have good points about Pain for Corr vs MM but saying the MM doesnt benefit is wrong. A MM is him AND his pets -
Yeah my internetz was down. Was okay cause I played Bionic Commando instead

That's a problem?
[/ QUOTE ]
Only if you want to have it nerfed to hell and back. Being able to regen full health at level 50 in just over 20 seconds with an AoE heal for back up would make it way too potent and then comes the nerf nuke because nothing can be adjusted slowly around here.
Remeber.... it's nerf or nothing -

Between having a 1.5 second tick heal aura toggle that slotted out restores about 90+ hp every 1.5 seconds
[/ QUOTE ]
It ticks every 4 seconds not every 1.5 seconds
If it were every 1.5 seconds you would be at a regen rate of 60hp a second which is about what a well slotted regen scrapper gets bt running Dull Pain, Integration, Fast Healing and Health -
Well crap I just read this. I can understand you wanting to leave. I have become bored with the game myself and every little thing that keeps getting changed around is slowly putting more straws on my camel's back too.
Good luck and was always fun bullcrapping on vent with ya. -
Went to RV early Saturday just for the first time since Issue14 hit live. Was on my DM/SR Scrapper and got attacked by a Brute w/ a heavy and Veat. During the fight another hero came to assist but I managed to snag both kills. I got a PvP IO drop from the Veat so my drop rate is 1 out of 2
Too bad it only sells for 10 mil. It was the PBAoE Acc/Dam IO -
[ QUOTE ]
they have near av levels of regen
[/ QUOTE ]
Avs dont really have high regen so much as high HP resulting in a higher regen. I am pretty sure I remember someone doing the math a while back and they have a low % of actual regen but when coupled with their 22,000+ hp it adds up.
Also IIRC this was the major problem when they raised the regen rate way back when and caused such an uproar. A little extra regen boost goes a long way with so much hp and they didnt realize it was going to make an AVs +hp a sec skyrocket like it did -
Its not just him. Your sentence structure is off big time and it makes it hard to understand what you are actually trying to get across

With 237% recharge in total focus
[/ QUOTE ]
So you need
Hasten --- 70%
Slotting ---100%(rounded up)
Set bonus-67%
--------------------------
Total -----237% recharge
If I didnt round up you could pretty much say you need full rech slotting+hasten+another 70% from sets. -
Spin
Fast rech, good damage and no knockback. Knocked back targets wont always return to a pile for you to use Evicerate
I use this combo on my Claws/Regen to tear through larger mobs really quickly -
I wouldnt mine the animation so much if they didnt already have another 3 second animation in the attack set. O wait, nevermind I forgot about Stun. So they have 3 attacks that take 3 seconds each to use. Perfect balance
