Defiant is pretty much an unknown for most people as it isn't either a pvp or rp server and we all pretty much enjoy doing the same thing which includes tf'ing and good constructive social banter, so as far as new people coming to us I'm hoping it's not just AE farmers, Market people that think it's clever to burn inf to undermine SG's that have been running for the past 6+ years, and any other who have alienated themselves from their home server due to being a prat. -

You can't transfer a character to another server unless you have a free slot to put it in.

Forgive my noobness when it comes to server transfer, but I have never strayed from Defiant and never felt the need to. I'm not a fan of the GSA in fact I have never asked for it and am pretty dead against it, but it may have a beneficial side to it.
Is it possible for me to create an alt on say Freedom and then transfer that alt to defiant thus creating me an extra slot or would I still have to purchase slots on Defiant to place it in? -
I will roll a couple of alts on the NA servers to be nosey, but as the Rabbit said above, Defiant is where it is and where it will be staying.

You need to be Rogue/Villian to get villian day job badges, and hero/Vigilante to earn heroside. Had this happen to me a while back, and when I crossed over badges were awarded.

If you crash on a trial does your participation status get reset?
I ask because I crashed earlier and came back just before final fight with marauder and all I got was 10 threads? -
I think who ever did the cut-scene was a smoker who has to go out of house to smoke.
It is exactly the right amount of time to get my nicotene fix, sit back in chair, grab mouse and away we go. -
After the patch today I attempted 5 Lambda's, 2 of which I crashed and 1 I died and spent the rest of the trial as 50(+1) when I should have been 50(+3).

Pretty much, if they'd have a world map showing income per region where higher income would be indicated by a brighter color the US would be all white and Europe would be darkish gray.
Downtime is put in the timezone of the darkness, in that case.
That's business.
They don't always have the choice, but when you do you gotta do what's good for business.
Dark Grey or not, I don't think the game could afford to lose all it's Eu subscribers, if they did they would have to make major cutbacks.
So dark grey or not you still need to look after and treat the minority with a little decorum. -
If you pop the Ultimate Insps then summon your pets, after the 3 minute timer does your pets drop dead, like they do if you join a higher lvl team?

I think the rollback issue last week was a tester to see how mad the Eu would get if they lost their primetime.
We couldn't have gotten mad enough?
Also what's the betting odds for the servers not to comeback on at 10pm? -
I made a sarcastic comment on the last thread where fixes/issues resulted in EU losing their primetime.
The comment was maybe we in the EU should get used to having our primetime taken away from us.
Is this going to be the case from now on and maybe could be worse when we merge servers?
Would just like to know, as obviously if this is the case then I will not be-able to continue subscribing due to work commitments.
Isn't any good paying for a service that is only available whilst I am at work. -

I used the LFG queue the other day. It started a Lambda in about 90 seconds. Unfortunately, the people on it that I was paired with were...not people you want to team with. So I also quit it in about 90 seconds.

Just tried to log on and got through password, clicked agreement, clicked on server and poof I get "wrong protocol get latest version of the game"?

Literally walked in from work, ran to computer booted CoH up, said hi everyone on channels and all I got was bye Slaz lol, 5 seconds later disconnected.
Either my timing stinks, or the devs are watching me closely? -

Excellent idea Snow Globe and very well timed with the fiasco going on atm, this would be a very good solution.
From what I see there is no identity loss and even can make you a bit more prouder of your home server.

Ps. I think I will be using this way if I have to rename my char, and I think it times nicely to 15 seconds to type, so no more e-mail waiting for me
