  1. I dunno about the rest of you, but for me darn near every one of the "signature heroes" I targeted "mysteriously disappeared" about a minute into the rough and tumble. I think the only one we actually managed to faceplant was Synapse, which was kinda funny because we gave him the dirt-nap shortly after he started trash-talking us.

Yeah, some ran, but many oddly "faded-out".

    CoH Card game

    [ QUOTE ]
I guess it's just me, but from the little I've seen of the cards the artwork is..

    Worse than horrible.

I can do better than that with a box of crayons and a meat cleaver.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The most I've seen of CCGs on the whole is...

    "worse than horrible"

...in fact, the art might be the only thing I'd like.
  3. [ QUOTE ]
Because the fad is Outrage posts now, necro-rising might be cool again!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Rage was responsible for some necro-rising in a movie I once saw...
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Yes, but Jack also seems to be un concerned with the dwindling user base of COH as it stands now.

    [/ QUOTE ]

If it were dwindling, he might have a reason to get concerned...

    [ QUOTE ]
When COV is released and most of the coh fans join in (as I am sure cryptic and ncsoft hope they will) who will still be playing COH Paragon city will be a ghost town of waterdowned nerfed ex-heroes.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Boy was I waiting for this theory to resurface... it didn't have any more creedence when it first reared it's ugly head and still doesn't now, but I do so love the classics...
  5. [ QUOTE ]
    Delayed reaction?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, I've heard they can successfully reanimate dogs after three hours of death...

Hows so? I was satisfied after I got my zookeeper badge, now I am not because it's lost its worth. It used to be hard to get, now it's not so I think those that spent the extra effort should be rewarded.
    ie: Greater work= Greater reward.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Did it occur to you that perhaps the reason they lowered the limit is due to the fact that they're trying to discourage herding- and the limit of 10K on that badge kinda encouraged it?

('course I'm wondering if they'll ever revert those little hairless imps from having psi-lance having made that change... ah well...)

As to 'extra effort' I spent it too and frankly I don't much give a damn, and can't see why anyone else would.
  8. [ QUOTE ]
Nope I just saw a place to vent, and didnt look at the date, I am dumb.

Though my statement on the subject stands, since the amount of monkeys has been reduced in I5.

    [/ QUOTE ]

People are never satisfied with anything...

The Freakshow logo is a stylized Anarchy symbol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ya know... we're all working hard here to drum up rumors and conspiracy theory, and here you come cruising in on yer logic bike and ruin everything...

It's the same symbol that Lord Recluse uses, although I'm not certain if it has an official name or not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It is definitely not the Arachnos symbol.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    See? Manticore really can teleport.

    [/ QUOTE ]

And spank Go_Sabres too. I guess I stand corrected then. I'll have to pay more attention to the details of the baddies in the comics. The old 'assumption' adage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, he's discovering new variations on this power all the time... quite possibly none of them more useful than the teleport-spank.

Now Braveheart... There's some historical innacuracies for you!

    [/ QUOTE ]

That'd be a bit like suggesting there were historical inaccuracies in Washington's Cherry Tree story. Sure he was real, but the story isn't anyway. By the same token Wallace was real, but whether you view him as a bandit or rebel ((or anywhere in-between) is strictly a matter of who's telling the story, as most of it is largely legend.

    Thorn Casters

Yeah that's right, you NEVER listen to us!!!- oh wait!

    Er, Thanks.
  14. [Puts on a deep cockney accent:]

    This has been rumor control.
  15. Sometimes when I find myself in Outbreak after a nice little Isolator Badge team, I'll get asked by a newbie whether they should go to Atlas or Galaxy. My answer is allways thus:

Galaxy and Atlas are pretty equivalent in terms of gameplay- all the same things you can find in atlas are in Galaxy too, however, Atlas is usually more populated for whatever reason...

Personally, I think the reason it remains so is viral: people continuing to gather where there's the most people.
  16. Take a forked stick- willow branches work real well for this for some reason. Place each branch-end on the forked stick on the left and right palms of your hand. Apply enough pressure to the stick to hold it between your outstretched hands, but not enough to break the stick. Walk slowly sround watching for disturbances in the way the stick points-

Oh! You said define my creativity... whups...

  18. If you ever see me pacing back and forth and mumbling to myself, forgive me.
  19. Well, this is one of those things where what works good in a video game might not necessarily do well in contributing to a dramatic story- the medi-port system is a prime example of that.

If no one can die, where's the risk? And I do believe is says this much in the first issue as well...

Yes, you must use a fresh dead horse... or is that a freshly dead horse? Damned if I can remember which horse this was.

I apologize if I come off as a forum fascist, but surely there is a way to succintly condense this sprawled-out thread into a Pilcrow-esque new OP that advances the central topic better?

    [/ QUOTE ]

No offense taken. Just me being an incorrigable goofball. As for organization, it'd probably be better if such a thread made it's debut on the Blaster forum in the first place, eh?
  21. Well, let me put it this way: a little more end drain on the standard attacks would be nice. I shouldn't have to slot for it just to SEE that it's having an effect.

But yeah, Short Circuit works quite nice.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
I guess this means no one likes the % chance toggle drop idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, to be perfectly honest, I'd much rather see them improve the wonderful effects it already has than give it a slew more side effects that are mediocre...

Either that or quit muxing with it's effectiveness at least. That 1/4 effectiveness in PvP on end drain was a real kick in the teeth.

I boggle that this thread still exists.

I'm not upset by it, mind you.

    [/ QUOTE ]
It exists because players asked that threads with dev posts be maintained for possible reference quote use.

It does not exist to beat a dead horse. Start a fresh thread, please.

If boggling leads to thread necromancy, boggle not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, the issue was never actually resolved, so I don't feel bad about beating a still-living horse.

I'd be interested to see the results of an internal "Blaster primaries" test, much like the devs performed on the Scrapper secondaries.

Any bets on which primaries shine and which ones shudder? My vote for underdogs are electricity and ice.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Well, having played a Storm/Electric defender for 50 levels, I can't say I'd dislike the idea of giving Electricity Blast some love...
