  1. One random little thing that I keep thinking would be handy: a button in the costume/power editor screen to swap the current primary and secondary colours for the selected costume piece/power. I often find myself, for example, putting a white pattern on a black costume piece, and then wanting to flip it around to see if it'd look better as a black pattern on white. Having a button I could click to do that would be far easier than how you currently have to do it.

It's not a major headache in the game, and I've got no idea whether it'd be at all easy or even feasible to implement of course, but as I said, it'd come in handy at times.
  2. Surprise maintenance. We only got 10 minutes warning in-game.
  3. 150) Forgotten how to get to a zone at least once.

    151) Gotten stuck at the bottom of Old Faultline

    152) Ran A respec so you could get a vertical travel power so that would never happen again

    153) Do the Mario on boxes to get to the Terra Volta Reactor

154)Tried to stand on the blimp.

    155) Sheepishly apologised in broadcast to the lowbies that got flattened by your high-level ambush in a low-level zone
  4. I did the train doors thing plenty of times too, yup. Also, it took me ages to realise that a troller wasn't actually a toon built specifically to fight Trolls.

But my biggest n00b moment was probably when I logged in to CoH for the 2nd time ever. First time I logged in I built myself shiny new blaster, played around with him for a bit, logged off, all was good. Then next time I logged in... he was gone! I was really annoyed, figured I hadn't saved him properly or something stupid like that, so I grumbled a bit started all over again from scratch. What I'd done of course was just log on to a different server - hadn't realised that toons were server-specific, I thought they followed you around wherever. I think that original blaster I built is still sitting over on Infinity at lvl 5 or something...

Oh, thank gods for that. My claws/inv brute is the only invuln toon I've ever gotten high enough to have Invincibility - I was wondering why I'd never heard anyone mention the incredibly annoying sound effects the power had...
  6. Definitely no 5-character minimum anymore, which means my forum handle now matches my global name too - thanks, Niviene!

Well, what if we move all costume contests into Architect Studio B? Power suppression, problem solved - simple as that...
  8. A minor QoL suggestion for Dark Astoria - if the street lights were left on all day as well as at night, it would make it much less painful to travel around the zone.

I noticed this as night fell while I was wandering around there earlier - because the lights show up at a much greater distance through the fog than the buildings and stuff normally do, they can give you just enough points of reference to keep yourself oriented, and enough depth perception to help avoid constantly running in to buildings (especially when trying to teleport around in there... ugh). It really doesn't detract from the atmosphere of the zone at all either - it's still all spooky and mysterious, because you still don't get all the details of what's around you until you get right up close, since the lights only illuminate a very small area around them.

No idea how big a coding change this would require, and it's only a very minor issue, but DA is such a cool and under-utilised zone that it might be nice to have one less reason for people to avoid it...
  9. Hi, I'm @Six, I'm in Canberra, I have a bunch of heroes on Pinn, a bunch of villains on Victory, and a random assortment of both on Justice and Virtue.

Only thing that'll stop people selling generic IO recipes for more than the crafting table sells them for will be if other people stop buying generic IO recipes for more than the crafting table sells them for.

I definitely like the suggestion of having the store prices listed at WW though - would be especially handy for those who are new to the game.

I do wish we could skip the countdown, or at least let us use alt-tab without interrupting the countdown.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I've discovered recently that if I hit the Windows key immediately after hitting the "Quit to Login Screen" button, the Start menu pops up but the countdown keeps going in the background, so I can switch over to another window while I wait. Gotta hit it straight away though - leave it any longer than maybe half a second and it'll interrupt the countdown.
  12. One annoying thing I've found is that often you'll drag your 6 Spell Inks over to the market window, the slider window pops up, you drag the slider up to 6 and click OK, and the slider window disappears... but the Spell Inks are still sitting in your inventory and haven't been placed on the market, so you have to drag them over to the market window again. Only seems to happen if you have to move the slider.
  13. 1. Yes - had someone email me login details of a Vent server. Was very handy to have the email to refer back to on a couple of occasions - would've been far more difficult to do that with a global tell.

    2. Yes. Was chatting in a global channel trying to explain to someone how to set up a chat bind, but they couldn't quite get the formatting on it right, so in the end I typed it up in an email for them so they could just cut'n'paste it. Worked beautifully.

Well if you're offering, I'm a bit short on inf at the moment, and Human Blood Samples sell quite well at Wentworths...

    Earth/elec

I'm loving my earth/elec - never got in to doms until I built this guy, but I'm having a ball with him. #1 build tip I read somewhere before building him is to skip the immobs to start with - the -kb in them will make your Earthquake basically useless, and Earthquake is a large part of your damage mitigation, particularly early on. I've gotten to 38 without them, and with the patron pools opening up with my next power choice I'm not sure if I'm ever going to get either of them...
  16. Grav troller/dom, using Propel, throwing a coffin.

Closely followed by a kill from a damage proc in Taunt, especially if it's on a MoGed Paragon Protector.

Flight sucks. Speed & Teleport are still king. Am I missing something?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Super Jump. Generally considered to be the best compromise between all the travel powers - it's easier to use than Teleport, much faster than Fly, and has the vertical movement that Super Speed is lacking.

Plus, it's a whole lot of fun.

Don't forget the Arena. The extra few points of end you get from that day job can make a big difference too.
  19. One thing that I've found myself wishing for on a couple of occasions is the ability to convert an insp into a smaller one of the same type. That way if you've face-planted and are lying there with, say, 2 small yellows and a medium yellow, you can convert your medium yellow to a small, and then convert your 3 small yellows into a wakie.
  20. If anyone out there was a member of the Death Justice SG, well, you're not anymore sorry...

Logged on to one of my alts on Freedom the other day for the first time in ages, expecting to have been kicked from the SG I'd accepted an invite to last time I was on. Instead it turns out I'd been promoted to Leader, no-one else had been on for 48 days, and there were only 10 people left in the SG. I figured there was very little point in either trying to run it myself (I hardly ever play this toon) or promoting someone else to do it (seemed unlikely anyone was going to be coming back), so I decided to just disband the whole thing.

Don't imagine there'll be anyone who cares at all, but figured I should probably mention it just in case...

    Gratz Farisa!

Six O'Clock became my very first 50 a couple of weeks back too. Other recent 50s I know of are Demonelle (another first), and Incendarius Draconis
