A bit convoluted, but you will probably make way more cash... roll 10-14 bronze and sift through the crap to find a few diamonds, then just buy the numina. Less of course they are unpossible to buy... in that case, I still recommend rolling 10-14 bronze because 166 rolls is better than 4 rolls.

This thread was the first time I had any interaction with Ultimo_. As such, I responded to him honestly trying to help. I wish I had known that he was not actually interested in figuring out ways to work within the current system, using the plethora of tools available to him to alleviate his endurance issues.

He spawns detractors as efficiently as the Duggers spawn babies. He is an assembly line of poorly constructed opinion. Is he entitled to that opinion? Of course. Are people entitled to explain how horribly wrong his opinion is?(I say opinion, because he really only has one. "This game doesn't do what I want it to do. It doesnt meet my unreasonable expectations. Change it") Why yes, yes they are.

pssst. If you are gonna call white bread, white bread. Why not call whole wheat bread brown bread? Or at least whole wheat bread, as it is made from the whole wheat kernel.

I agree though about rye(pumpernickle) bread. What is usually considered dark rye gets most of its dark from mollasses. However, I would argue that sprouted breads are even healthier.

I dont disagree with you. There are definately better synergistic combinations than dark/dark. Though I could tongue in cheek argue that a dark/dark needs the two heals because they are so prone to missing... Back when the Devs were constantly nerfing accuracy. (I know it is bullcrap but you will never be able to convince me my DM scrapper missed the same amount as my spiner. Dark just seems to miss more.)

I disagree. A very synergistic combo of toons would be a stone/ tank and fire/fire blaster. Two very capable toons on their own, however when combined, allow each to fill in the small holes of the other.

But we are not talking about duoing, so here are a couple toons I feel synergize really well, and more importantly, why.

Dm/shield. Dm's tohit combined shield's defence is a very powerfull combination. Dm's heal covers the lack of one in shield. Shield charge brings a little more aoe to a single target heavy set. AAO keeps the mobs in close to you to set up a huge soul drain. Two very competent sets on their own together make a powerhouse.

Bots/Storm. Bots have a tendancy to KB a spawn to all hell and back. Storm easily allows you to put the mobs where you want em for maximum carnage. Protector bot's force fields pair really nice with the -tohit from hurricane so the mobs hit you even less (very easy to softcap this toon btw). Even if your bots close to mellee, you can push the mobs back with the edge of your cane, so the bots use their more powerfull ranged attacks and aoe's without having to worry about positioning your bots back where you want em. Lots of extra damage in storm with Lighning storm and tornado. Helluva lot of -resists and - def in freezing rain just make it that much easier for your bots to destroy everything. Probably my most powerfull toon. To use your math 10+10=30

A Rad/sonic defender, as discussed makes a very powerfull combination. It very easily allows you to break right through the damage cap (Sorta) (-def, -resist, -regen, +dam, +rech = ignore the cap) The -tohit and +recovery heal and mez resists keep you safe and on your feet to fight longer. That is before you add your epic of choice. There is a reason it can take down Av's and Gm's.

My fire/traps corruptor is looking promising. But anything traps is win really... I just like the aoes of fire.

As for a Sword/Sr... I would rather pair a sword with regen to cap regen's mellee defence, and keep its massive regen, rather than pair it with a defence set that makes one of the best powers in your attack set obsolete by lvl 35. Ymmv.

Also, I would just like to add that builds like an elec/elec blaster, or dark/dark defender/scrapper, stone/stone tank, fire/fire anything are kinda designed to synergize well. (Not specifically responding to you here Rigel_Kent. I have seen some people quite happy with themselves and boasting that they had made a rare pairing of a dark/dark defender and are surprised it works so well together...)

Geez coach, we are tired of dribbling the ball, we want to just run with it. We pay to play here, and we want to make up the rules, these ones dont suit me, I mean, us at all. If you dont want to let us play like this, you can be replaced you know.

Crazy to imagine that the players on the other teams are perfectly happy with dribbling aint it?

If only there were a way to prove an opinion through scientific means.... why then it could metamorphosize into a beautifull fact and be peer reviewed and confirmed... Wouldnt it be great to believe an opinion could indeed be proven to be a fact? Nah... too much work... I guess it is kinda crazy how everyones opinion is not received equally. Why I guess some people, who actually take the time, and put some thought into their opinion, and even, test it out a bit have opinions that are actually taken equally seriously as the amount of thought put into it. Guess the flip side of the coin is that if someone does not want to put any work into their opinion, probably shouldn't expect their opinion to be worth much. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, but it doesnt mean anyone has to take them as seriously as you do.

I dont think the AT's do enough damage. For instance, blasters do way more damage than defenders. I think everyone should do more damage equally, and then raise the damage even more for the at's that do lots of damage, that way, everyone does more damage equally.

I am not interested in slotting for damage, or taking more attacks to do the damage. Nor am I interested in investing in IO's for damage bonuses either. The veteran attacks, as well as the temporary attack powers do nothing to allieviate my perception of doing enough damage, because all the at's have access to those options. I dont think that is fair.

I also have no interest in using the red inspirations to do more damage, because they never drop when you need them, all I get are the stupid blue ones, and it is not like we have a way to combine them or anything to make the one we want.

All the new players complain that they have to run all the way to the next spawn to do more damage, they should have a teleport that ports you to the next spawn immediately so you dont have to wait around not doing damage. In fact, the TP itself should do some damage as well, because thats what my character from randompenandpapergame666 could do, and I want to be able to do that here. I just want to improve the game.


(There are improvements the game needs, and there are tools already in the game for problems people have. If you have no inclination to actually use the tools given to you, dont expect a lot of support for an obsolete request.)
