I know that with the launch of another certain game, there's been a lot of differing opinions as to what people prefer what within WHAT game. Unfortunately, I'm part of those people.
I've noticed one pivotal thing while browsing the character creator for this rival game: Asymmetry.
This Asymmetry opened up, to me, a new level of customization that made my Superhero feel unique and truly 'mine'.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love the options that CoX has presented us throughout the years, and I'm truly glad to see that the list of options is ever-expanding, but I'm so very awe-struck by how good it makes me feel to just make a character who wears heavy armor over one arm, and light leather over another! It makes me feel not only like I've put more thought and creativity into this character, but like it's one-of-a-kind.
So, please, Paragon Studios, Developers, and all you great guys out there;
Divide costume arms/leg pieces into two sections, have a little default box that, when checked, will change both gloves/shoulders/boots/whatevers at once, but when unchecked, the left/right shoulder/gloves/boots/whatevers can be edited on their own.
Oh! And it would also be awesome if you could contract some of the options. Shoulder options like Chains could include a sub-menu to work with how they'll appear, rather than having a completely separate option in the main menu.
Thanks for reading. Have a blast, guys. -
I can't really see anything wrong with this.

For 69 months, I'd want something like "Kinky!"
Seriously. -
Anything, as long as you change the 'blaim' in your signature. The Grammar Enforcer within me is crying on the inside.

Quote:A collectivity against stupid, repetitive ideas? Sure, why not?I couldn't of put it better Shadow State nor would i want to. And what is with the posts saying "WE" dont want vehicles or "WE" dont want this or that...i guess some individuals in humanity have become part of a greater collective now?
This idea has been suggested and shot-down before, and if your only argument is 'WoW does it!' then you're sorely mistaken. The mechanics behind mounts are so ungodly broken that I'd prefer running:
1. Things just 'appear'.
2. Things just 'disappear'.
3. There's no mounted combat.
4. Turning doesn't exist. You just 'change' that direction suddenly.
5. Animation.
6. Different game engines.
Not to mention, WoW operates on a game engine that leaves as little visible as possible; if your character can't get somewhere, then it probably isn't even textured. City of Heroes/Villains defies this with flight, allowing you to go anywhere.
"[This game] does it" is never a good argument because that game isn't CoX, and you can bet they don't operate on the same engine. -
Quote:1. Half of what you listed were things unbelievably GOOD for the game that you've tried to put a really miserable spin on.I'm not sure if I feel the need for CoX to gaurd against CO, but I have taken a look at Champions and I've liked what I've seen. Couple that with the extra-ordinary job that the NCSoft Devs and Moderation staff have done over the past few years; it's not hard to see why all of my accounts have been un-subbed and I'll be moving into Millennium City A.S.A.P.

- GDN
- Aggro Cap
- Hamidon Nerf
- the death of PvP
- the lack of development of the Cathedral of Pain
- AE Nerfs and consequent Bannings
- being told that it's too hard to implement power customization, then implement as soon as CO looms
... srsly I could keep going on, but needless to say: this jury is out.
2. You think the devs just one day said 'Champions is doin' it let's do it too!'? I'd say with a great deal of certainty that they had the idea on paper before Champions became some big threat.
3. If you want to leave, then go ahead. Please, leave for the game with a few more shinies. I'll stick to a game that has a good, solid, easily-usable core mechanic and engine that enables me to actually PLAY the game the way I want to, rather than something I'll be diving headfirst into.
As for myself? I'll definitely be buying Champions Online. Whether I find it worth more than 1 month of subscription is a whole different matter. And even then, I won't say "OMG THIS HAS EVERYTHING COX DOESN'T!" because chances are, it won't. -
What does CoX have left?
Going Rogue.
How 'bout we build a bit from there before saying ZOMG DOOOOOOM? -
Funniest AFK was when my neighbors were being robbed.
I assure you, it's funny. The robber didn't actually HAVE a weapon, nor did he attempt to take any of the many knives found in the kitchen. No, his plan was to demand money and stroll away in his... Red Mustang. They chased him out, and called me for additional support in doing so.
Moral 1: Don't try to rob handgun owners in Texas... They own bigger things, too.
Moral 2: The better the reason, the less people will believe you. -

Oftentimes I've sat and wondered "Hey, will this power be ready in 10-20 seconds so I can wait for it before tackling this tough enemy, or will it be another two minutes so I should just go without waiting?" A slowly expanding icon does not accurately represent how close a 17 minute recharge power is to recharging, so I have to guess.
Or here's the other thing. I want to teleport straight to your mission, but my Mission Teleport isn't recharged yet. It looks like it's ALMOST ready, but how "almost" is it? Is it 4-5 minutes so I can drop by the market and dump a few things, or is it 20-30 minutes, so I should just suck it up and leg it? I don't know. I want to recall my entire dead team to me, but my Assemble The Team isn't ready. Is it 2 minutes away from being recharged so my dead team can wait, or is it 10 minutes away so they should go to the hospital?
This has uses. They may not be very important uses, but I'd wager they're at least as important as having the markers on your map spread out when your mouse over them. And while I realise I can just run a third-party programme, this is something that really ought to be part of the game itself, as a quality of life feature.

This.
I'd like to sign it being an option, like the stacking of autopowers. Hell, make the 'growing icon' an option, as well. You can have one, or both, but not none. -
Scrapper: War Mace/Ninjitsu
Stalker: Ice Melee/Armor
Controller: Electricity Control, Darkness Control
Dominator: Electricity Control, Radioactive Control
Defender: Fire Blast/Thermal

Most of the icons are about 2/5s the way down.

The other icon (Smoke bomb)
You can find a lot of odd icons on there.
However, I WOULD like to see these leaked invention salvage whatevers. -

Yyyyep. -
There's always new features to be introduced. This includes a multitude of character customization options, along with simple graphic changes.

Someone's been looking at the 'Gears' icons on Paragonwiki.

Better Character Creator.
1. Better graphics (No offense)
2. Better sliders/body types (We want muscle chicks!)
3. Asymmetry!
4. Better blending between pieces. (If you need to see what I mean, choose the 'Bare Chest' option, and look at the transition between the neck and body).
5. More options. Always more costume options. -
