-Stealth and Suppression. Hate suppression with an absolute passion. There was nothing wrong with switching to Hover for Combat, then Fly for a quick getaway. Nothing else needs to be said. Haven't noticed anything really glaring other than the overall nerfs to Stealth / Phase Shift and Suppression to Fly.

    [/ QUOTE ]

/Agree 110%. Travel Suppression was one of the absolute WORTHLESS Gimps ever put into this game. It is as if a Dev looked and said in a sadistic-fashion: "Oh Look... Players are actually smart and use sniping tactics in our game. How horribly human of them! So how do we make them as gimped and stupid in reaction-time as the rest of our AI? Oh.. I know! SUPPRESS their movements and take away their Legs.. Wings... what-have-you in combat situations!"

Now we are all just as 'stupid' in movement and tactical fighting as the rest of the AI, and now stuck with all those nerfed-features which were designed to slow down actual damage or utilization of quickness skills.

So the squishy Blaster is saddled with poorer working battle options now with the removal of those quick-movement fighting/dodging decision-making tactics. Just Spray and Pray...sit there for three seconds like a total lummox and hope you don't get too much of the Mob-strike in return.

Anytime a new MMO comes out, no matter what type, some players leave. But with Cryptic supporting both, I think we will see some innovations come as a result.

For some reason no, it does not leave an image in the screenshot directory. You have to have your image editor *open* so you can hit print-screen and then directly move to it to ctrl-v into it.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is because it is saving the material in your Window's Clipboard memory and not on the HD itself.

The Lazy-gal's way of doing this is when I run Co* in FULL SCREEN Mode, and anytime there is a 2D screen to be captured in-game (The CC... Enhancement Management... etc.), I simply hit the Screen Key, then the Windows Menu Key at the bottom which will push Co* into the background, then bring up PS2 ( I have a short-cut to it on the Taskbar) and do the CNTRL-V into the New Image mode. Then I save the SS for later.. and then close PS2. This immediately brings Co* back into FULL Screen foreground, and I play on.
  4. The only Spectral Thing-a-ma-Bob I've screen-shotted lately. Yeah, I know it is not the exact thing you guys are asking for. But anyway, they die so quickly, I never have a chance to frame 'em better.

  6. I do agree the lips (with the lipstick-color so outlined and saturated) are a wee-bit overstated with this one. Add to that, you don't see any upper-row of teeth, even the lower leading-edge of the upper-teeth aren't visible in the work... and the mouth is wide open.

In that other photographic example, the teeth on that subject are prominently seen, and I feel that some visibility of them on 'Isis' ...even a little bit... would add to the immersion of this piece here.

I DO feel the facial-expression for the event is properly defined. In fact it treads on the ground of expelling a real force and energy from her being, which adds a little-used feature of eroticism to the overall experience. People don't *really* think the gods do all that power generation simply to be nobley and stuff do they?

    Well done.

It reminds me of a cross between Cher and Michael Jackson....It's good structurally, i'm just saying visually

What you are seeing there is probably due more to the odd highlighting-angles and the agonizingly-ecstatic expression on her face. Makes for some unusual overtones.
  8. Someone should recreate that moment as a Norman Rockwell style painting.
  9. /respecs are a dangling-carrot that keeps long-time Players playing their old-borked characters which are messed up from improper builds. It costs them nothing to place the code in, doesn't 'imbalance' the game because someone OOCly made a bad build-decision before they reached their 20s, and is a cheap way to ensure longevity with some toons that would otherwise sit at the Selection Menu and collect dust.

Player Attrition is the death of any MMOGs, and anyone who has been here awhile can plainly see that Co* is not immuned to the problem. Slowing that rate down, even a little bit, means a healthier Player community and longer active-subscriptions. I vote/expect that we will see a continued use of this option for things such as Issue updates.
  10. I have made more in helping some players Transfer large batches of Inf. over the months, than in all the leveling up ever done by my characters in-game. And every single one of those deals, was with characters whom I have never met with before... ever played with in Missions or ever saw again after the exchange.

Each one tipped my character well, even though it was never asked for, and I could never imagine the horror and frustration of 'leaving' the scene before any transaction is fully completed.

Yes, we are out there, and I feel I am not in the minority on this one. The only problem being someone's on the spot 4-minute Mule, is that they have to have a measure of trust. I am happy to say I could do this for them because the game lacks a true Inf. Bank system for non-SG Players.

I only hope others stand tall for what is right, and never, ever let the good Lady and those like her from having to face that cowardly in-game behavior again. What you can't display to anyone about your RL person behind the character you play, speaks volumes in regards to who you *really* are...with but a simple act of kindness.

It is up to all of us.

Same here. I have a paid Photobucket account and they never touch anything I might upload to it. Well worth considering over those horrid popup ad-prone sites such as ImageSlock.

You know, I wondered where this thread came from. We have somone necro posting and I noticed most of them. But didn't catch this one. Sorry.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The ones you find that have no new Replies at the end of them are easy:

It is an old trick where some immature Forum Poster will drag up a dead-thread and add a new Post to it, then DELETE their own post right after. It still leaves the thread up at the top of the Listing and then new Posters get suckered into adding to it.

Since the Mods never have the code lock regular threads after a certain date, we get stuck with the mental-kiddies who thrive on doing this for kicks just to see how long they can get away with it. Yeah, that trick is older as the necro-threads themselves and twice as annoying.
  14. It's another WoW Forum-Poster mentality thing.

    good program?

Photoshop. When second-best just won't do.
  16. Oh come on now. The world is filled with music that moves to the beat. I bet some new ideas will come to mind when listening to iPod or even old-fashioed radio in the days ahead. When your mind starts 'visualizing' such CoH scenes while the tune is playing, you'll KNOW it is time to get out the Sony Vegas!

    My first COH pic

As an aside, I hate ImageShack and how they sneak in a POP UP Ad for Party-Poker (or other crass junk) when you click on someone's Freebie-account uploaded Picture.

I know this is not the OP's fault for choosing that service to Host files, but I wouldn't be caught DEAD using Image-shack and putting up with their sleazy Web-advertisements for that very reason.
  18. I agree with the assessments made over this production.

Lose the UI stuff. Use /Demo-edit for recording principle-footage as suggested. Better still, lose the Fraps.com logo as well. You know the proper way to do that: REGISTER THE THING!

If you title it as a Co* Video... it should BE all Co* material. Give all those WoW dancers their walking-papers. CoH and CoV footage intermixed should be okay. We are all one big happy Co* family here, despite what the game-seperatists would have us believe.

Why call it a "Remix" if is it all one Madonna song and all her singing it? I would say it's an EP: "Extended Play."

    Now another thing.

There is a scarce visual element in this production that is evident throughout the piece: Action-Cam(tm). Not many basement-producers use it and it is nice to see. The fly-by sweeps, vertical dips, dramatic-angles and panoramic-shots should be encouraged for most all in-game music-productions such as this. But many still rely *only* on static-camera framing and hoping that the character(s) in the middle of the picture can pull off all the moves to put the viewer into the immersion.

Uh uh. Commercial Music Video producers long ago realized that they need total 'visual involvement' with the beat-timing and pace of the music and on-screen activity. THIS is one of the only CoH music-videos so far I see doing it consistantly inbetween the usual static-shots... and it adds up to a better, overall psychological 'feel' to this mix for having been done that way. Good job.

Young whippersnappers didn't have to go through the 70's. But then, if it wasn't for the 70's I never would have discovered classical music.....

    [/ QUOTE ]

I 'borrowed' one of my Dad's CDs from his massive collection (yeah I returned it. ) And it was 'Yes?' or 'Classic Yes.' I dunno, can't remember. But I remember saying about it, "Dang, why don't they make music like THIS nowadays? It's great! It was like a mini-rock concert and I could even understand the lyrics! I would *love* to have seen that group on tour. Except now I suppose they are all living in Boca Raton and playing golf every day.

  21. Sheesh, that was a difficult read. Not because of the rough page-formatting or numerous sentence-structure errors, but more for flying all over the place in the interview itself. But I guess one can pick and read bits and pieces and get a good enough summary of where things are headed.

Also, does 'Give the player[s] what they want' have to do with doubling the padding on the Nerf-bat?
