Screenshot of the character generation screen?

How do you take a screenshot of the character generation screen? My 'Print Screen' works fine in game but not at the character generation screen.

Thanks.

After hitting print screen you'll need to use a graphics program to paste it into an image.

Thanks.

Two follow up questions: first, in game the 'print screen' saves a jpeg to my Screenshots folder. Should it also dot his for the character creation screen? Or just the cut & paste method?

Second, I can no longer alt-tab from COH to any other ap (yes, ATI woes). So I cannot alt-tab to InfraView, paste the image, and move on. Any ATI work around?

Thanks.

For some reason no, it does not leave an image in the screenshot directory. You have to have your image editor *open* so you can hit print-screen and then directly move to it to ctrl-v into it.

Use your Start key to move from one program to the other. I know how that goes. Though I've got a logitec mouse that sometimes does it for me. When I least expect it to.

As long as you don't take any more screenshots after taking the one in the CC then it should still be there after you leave the game, then you can start your image editor and create a new image the same size as the resolution you play the game in and paste the screenshot into the new image. I can't alt tab out of the game either so that's the way I have to do it when I want a pic from the CC or from in game with names and ui showing.

Fraps is a nice little program that you can run behind CoH.

It is very light in ressources so it won't add lag to the game.

You can bind a key for screenshots and a key for videos.

It will work anywhere in the game, from characters select screen, to zone and mission splash pages and of course the game itself.

Screenshot & Demo FAQ

I can't think of a real work around but, if you want to do a lot of screenshots from the character creation, you could just run in Windowed mode. Maximize the window and you'll be prety close to full resolution anyway. You can even crank up your desktop resolution for awhile if you want, it's easy enough to put back later. From Windowed mode you can just use your task bar to switch between programs.

If your game still crashes just switching from one program to another then look up BillZ's ATI card guide. It might have something on how to avoid the crashing.

Probably a stupid question and not really related to the subject but: How do you run CoH in Window Mode?

_BAS_, if you got to your options, then graphics and audio, right where you set the resolution, you can choose windowed mode.

You will have to exit and launch the game for it to take effect.

That is because it is saving the material in your Window's Clipboard memory and not on the HD itself.

The Lazy-gal's way of doing this is when I run Co* in FULL SCREEN Mode, and anytime there is a 2D screen to be captured in-game (The CC... Enhancement Management... etc.), I simply hit the Screen Key, then the Windows Menu Key at the bottom which will push Co* into the background, then bring up PS2 ( I have a short-cut to it on the Taskbar) and do the CNTRL-V into the New Image mode. Then I save the SS for later.. and then close PS2. This immediately brings Co* back into FULL Screen foreground, and I play on.
