you don't need the market at all to craft. go do missions and craft what drops. need salvage? go kill stuff. need recipes? go kill stuff or do AE missions and turn in tickets. or even get some merits by killing stuff and turn those in.

i've dropped tips within the first 10 mins also. /unsigned.

Quote:sorry je, but this thread is about what the character would NEVER say. please keep discussions in this thread to PM's only. this is suppossed to be funny, not fighting.... sometimes I miss the rep system because that last post deserves all the negative rep powers in the world. I don't think I've seen such a clueless and rubbish post since the claim that NCSoft had lessened the amount of hardware allocated to host City of Heroes.
From what we know of the incarnate system, it's additive to additional characters. Incarnate powers are not replacing enhancement slots, or are incarnate enhancements replacing training, dual, single, hamidon, or invention enhancements. The Incarnate system, as far as we know, will be a completely separate system.
Moon zone. Really?
Isn't it about time this dead horse got put out to pasture?
Yes. Some missions do take place on a moon base.
Now actually try to come up with a way to represent a moonbase in such a way that it fits into the current engine with no modifications. Now try to come up with a good explanation on what this has to do with Positron's job. He's not an artist.
You know, everytime the developers do interesting groups, somebody eventually complains. Rularuu, Malta, Carnies, Devouring Earth, and Arachnos all have unique abilities to their groups, yet most players don't want to run content that pits players against these groups. The new Syndicate, Detroyers, Pratorian Police, and Resistance mobs fit into this as well. New, unique, and interesting... yet a lot of players complain about the capabilities these mobs have.
So, not that I'm sorry for saying this, but the impression I get is that players demanding another "unique" enemy group, don't actually want a "unique" or "interesting" enemy group. The impression is these players want another enemy group that is like the Freakshow or 5th Column / Council. Easy to farm with non-unique attacks.
Uh huh.
Do you even know why Jetpack costume pieces aren't in the game? Here's a hint. Go create a huge character and a really tiny character. Give them both a jet pack recipe and go make it.
Activate the jet-pack.
Notice anything? Say, maybe the jetpack is the same size on both avatars and that it's not actually connected to the body?
Fact is, the entire reason backpacks and other such items are not in the game is because implementing a scalable add-on object requires time and resources. This is something that, if ever implemented, would need to handled by the engine guys, and by the art guys.
Positron doesn't enter into this equation either.
Last I checked this was what Castle, Sunstorm, and Synapse did. What does Positron have to do with new power-sets, other than raising his hand when the entire dev team gets together for a yay / nay session?
Again. What does this have to do with Positron?
Okay. Fine. You've got an axe to grind here. Fine, it's obvious that you don't understand basic game design, much less the game at all. It's also clear you don't have any sort of grasp over what each developer does. There's also the problem that your post is severely out of date if you were going for a comment on Positron as Lead Designer. For reference, here's what a lead designer does:
Almost all of the examples you used are either tech limited, such as the moon-base, backpacks; or time and resource limited, such as everything else.
Also, bonus negative rep for not not reading post #5. This is about what the Character Positron would say. -
if you are talking about the mission in croatoa, you have to make sure you are in the right section of the zone. it has to be the one that is stated in the mission description.
-
they are not going to give us a mission teleporter to the effect that you want. and any person that joins a team can use the team leaders base to teleport.

i'm sending you the cleaning bill for my keyboard bill. i gots milk all over it.

Quote:if there was a change made, it was to the timer that kicks you to the hosp to prevent PvP io farming. they almost would never put a post in about it.
...They changed something because my self rez use to recharge in time before i was automatically kicked to the hospital in a PvP zone. Now I get kicked to the hospital and the rez hasnt finished recharging. -
Quote:i would hate to say this again since nordblast already said it, but this has been an ongoing thing since i14. it doesn't happen all the time. this is not the first time it has been posted either.Well, I guess we'll just have to make it usable while mezzed then or move all store and contact npcs inside a building away from combat so that we never have an enemy sneak up on us when we happen to be shopping or reading the story.
Mez protection only works BEFORE you get mezzed, except in special cases. That means it needs to be up and any time it is down while you have enemies nearby is bad.
It's not just a quality of life thing, especially since it used to work as intended.
Also, the "says it is recharged, but won't activate" thing is definitely a problem for click powers that aren't on auto. It would really suck to try to activate it when you need it and just find out you're wasting time you could be tryign to save your hide with another power.
Of course, the mez protection being down isn't an issue for those with toggle mez protection so I guess you could say "play a different power set with a toggle" despite the fact that it is broken and needs to be fixed.
You can't solve a clear problem by saying "just go do something else", Bill. -
Quote:actually it falls into the power formula. you want longer duration you pay with more recharge and more end with less buff effect. go read the link i posted to another thread that is the exact same thing as this one almost.Since there is no exact formula for buff length/effectiveness, increasing the length shouldn't require a decrease in effectiveness or an endurance increase. If anything it could simply be a quality of life change as long as it doesn't break the game. Doubling the length seems like a decent amount.

/unsigned. costume pieces should just be unlocked anyways. never tied into vet rewards. hence why there haven't been anymore introduced that way.

and as always, if you would have searched, you would have found this thread:

you didn't and i'm sure most of us know this, but for new people or older players that didn't it doesn't help later on. no worries.
-
your video drivers are out old. go to nvidia.com and get the latest ones. then do a disc clean up and defrag.

i like the idea M_B.
/signed.
i know what you were trying to get at ossi, but that does not solve the problem for everyone else who this happens to and doesn't read the forums. it is just a QoL change to the options that makes it easier for people to talk to one another. -
what you can do is try an older driver set and see if that changes anything. also, make sure that all the dust is cleaned out of your comp. and everything is spinning ok.
-
you guys have misinterpreted the question. the op is trying to just get missions or contacts by going to the broker only, not doing the paper missions and mayhem to get the broker to offer the new contact. hence my post.
-
you have to do paper missions and then a mayhem to get a new contact in st martial.
-
change the screen ui/resolution in the options. that will help you out. it is the top one under graphics settings.

" so i was at this giant monster party the other night and one of them actually tried to use me like a giant glow stick..."

Quote:you can already do this with a regular base. just not entering from the street.A booster for Apartments or Private Bases.
This would allow the purchaser to create an apartment or private base with a few teleporters, medical equipment and a small workshop with some storage. It would be usable by 1-6 characters, regardless of alignment and could be accessed via a specific door in the city or location where they have teleporter beacons set. Owning an apartment or private base would not interfere with, or prevent, Group Membership or access to the Groups facilities. Purchasing this booster would grant each of the players characters their own facility.
Many families have members on different sides of the law but they remain family, the same logic could be extended to a few friends which would justify shared access regardless of alignment. If each member granted access to an apartment had their own apartment, it could present the opportunity for friends to "Network" their apartments or bases much like SGs form coalitions. Naturally teleporters locations would only work for specific alignments though they would be perfect for Rogues and Vigilantes. -
and what is it that you need to do other then order your pets to attack? maybe throw a debuff out? not a big problem. let the pets do the work.
-
try getting an ouro portal or get into an sg that has bease porters? there is more then just pocket d and temp tp powers.

Quote:sure it does. it just means that you have to wait longer to get it. again, the seller can not list items at prices that won't sell. he pays attention to what people are paying and lists appropriately. it is the IWANTITNAO people that are setting these high prices. not the seller. and when there is a shortage of items, which is happeneign with purples again, the prices will rise. supply and demand. It's the seller that sets the price... not the buyer. I can make an offer on an Apoc Proc for 50Mil... doesn't mean I'll ever get it.
let's say the average selling price for an item is 85mil. you and everybody else could be bidding 50 mil but the buyitnao group is paying over 100 mil. the seller could be listing at 75 mil. who do you think is going to get the items they want? the only thing a seller puts his items up for is the lowest price he will take for the item. the buyitnao crowd wants to make sure they get the item now. if you had bid creeped, you would have gotten the item at the sellers price. instead, the buyitnao person came in and bid 100 mil and got the item. if you had gotten to 70 mil and that was the absolute best price you would pay then leave it there. someone is going to come along and list an item at that price or lower and you get your item.
the markets are not an instant gratification store even though some treat it like that. it is a way to try to get the item while you are out doing other things. you may even drop the item while playing which saves you all that infl. in other words, with lack of better analogy: work smart, not hard.
