    Tbh, */Ice, is lacking somewhat in damage. In PvP, you play a tank as a tough, medium damage scrapper. But if you want to play it in PvP, get Greater Ice Sword, Freezing Touch, Build up, Frost and Taunt.
  2. I thought the defender duration is less than that off a controller? I swear I read that somewhere :s Think I'm seeing things now.

    Is the defender duration WAI or bugged?

    The problem I have with what Sgt_Furnace said is that he said it lasts 10 seconds in the arena. If you don't know Sgt....then don't guess and then spout rubbish based on an incorrect assumption - maybe then you'll be taken seriously.

    Incorrect assumption? I made the assumption based on many PvP threads on the US boards. It was a informed assumption, however, you are welcome to provide evidence to show that you can perm phase someone by doing so to me. If you do, I accept you are right and I am wrong. Contact me tonight on @Sgt. when you want to prove it.

    Was that in a PvP zone, or in the Arena. I was specifically taking about arena. In the arena, I believe the duration of detention field is somewhere in the region of 10seconds. I have not tested this due to some obvious reasons, namely not having a FF defender. With a recharge of 21.42 seconds WITH hasten, and a duration of about 10seconds, one can see why I came to the conclusion that FF's detention field can not be made permanent.

    Also in many tournaments of PvP, you are allowed a maximum of 2 AT's per 8 man team. Try and design a different team that consists of only a maximum of 2 AT's, and you might be taken seriously.

    I'm pretty sure Andy has fought against many bubblers, and knows the ins and outs of PvP better than you or me.

    It is impossible to permphase shift someone, which is what you are suggesting, this is not due to anyones PvP abilty, but due to the game mechanics. Have you ever used detention field in PvP? All phase shifting powers in PvP (Detention field, Black Hole, Dimension Shift) all have a greatly reduced duration in PvP. Please if you manage to make it permable with no outside buffs (on a 8man bubbler team you aren't going to get any, anyway) tell me. If you can get 8 Bubbling defenders to prove your theory (that is all it is atm) then please do so, and prove us wrong. Until then, our theory disapproves your theory. Lets just agree to disagree.

    Archetype make-up can effect the outcome of PvP battles, but I think PvP experience can do just as much.

    And as I recall in the 2nd PvP match against Art-Of-War, we beat you (we were exemped to 20 or something).

    It was 6v6 iirc, and we were exemped to lvl 12. No travel powers and no debuff resistance Good fight and good orginisation, no way to beat a hurricane at lvl 12 with just one blaster and I believe the score in the 2nd match was 20+ - 2. I won't post the numbers to the first match

Your missing out Bubble defenders, they have mez protection, melee protection, can take out 4 people from the fight for quite a while if they all use detention bubble, can use there secondarys to debuff, do damage and drain end. Only problem is they can't heal, which can be solved with the medicine pool.

    Within a 1x1 space between the rooms. This causes a major problem when attacking, as you can be held and killed before your screen loads, as some of our attackers have found out. Toggles also get dropped after you go in as well. Also, I'm not sure if this is true, but you always zone in the same 1x1 grid everytime.

    This Kin Cell strategy is in effect the same as the other holding strategy, just without the mito clearing phase. We will still need 30+ controllers to hold Hamidon.

  18. Take the slots out of Resilience, the bonus isn't worth it. Put them in MoG instead and slot for Defence buff.

    Due to the long recharge time of Broadsword, i'd suggest putting in hasten, its an extra 2 Recharge reduction SO's in every attack when its up, and only has a downtime of 65seconds, 3 slotted with recharge reduction.
  19. For PvP, resilience is must have, seeing as it is an auto power, it can't be toggle dropped. So disorients from blappers cannot disorient you, but they can still knock off your Integration and hold you.

    How ever for PvE, its not much use except for reducing the time of disorientation after an awaken is used.

    Unfortunately most of broadswords heavy hitting attacks have long animation times. But you can have an attack cycle of Headsplitter, Disembowl, Hack and Slice.

    If you intend to PvP, its a must have, jsut for the disorient protection. However if it is just a PvE build, I'd leave it, the resistance isnt worth a power.

  22. Just curious as to why you took Consume over Fire blast?

    I personally would rearrange your epic powers and get Fire ball at 41, Fire blast at 44 and Fire Shield at 47. For a PvP build anyway, because I doubt you would get much use out of Consume in an Arena or Base Raid.
