Not that I'm agreeing with it at all.... but to be fair he DOES say "as long as I am on this project". He is no longer on the project

Now, was he replaced with what he'd consider a gibbering idiot that would support the idea? Dunno. Doubtful but that screenie I don't think is valid to be posted anymore as he is no longer in the picture.
  2. Honestly, as much as I hate the idea of accepting a bunch of special snowflakes that want to be the sons and daughters of Hades because of their new connection to the well... it's inevitable.

  4. Yeah I noticed this while trying to form an ITF today. Very very annoying.

What do you think of Instant Healing as a passive that starts out around 100% regen and scales up as your health goes down ?
As a passive? Start that at 500%, adding 100% for every 10% of your health lost and I might start liking it. We either need a higher base health regen OR much higher percentages for our non-instant healing regen powers for regen to even begin to actually work like regneration. Like I said before, right now it just feels like self-empathy.

All of this is, again and of course, my opinion on the regen set.

Only the last one was meant towards PVP but it also applies to PVE, having to chase down running mobs.

And my issues were not PVP-based but they're also good points as well.
  7. I think the ID section needs a complete overhaul entirely myself.

When you look at the ID interface... am I the only one who is reminded of a drivers license?

    Why not make it so?

Add a number of sections for character information that we can click for popup boxes so the screen doesn't get cluttered. Physical description boxes. "Known history" Box for backstories. (While they're at it they could actually let us pick our own eye colors with each face)

Add a scroll box to the Description section and fix this bug where what I'm typing stops appearing until I exit, go back in, and then it magically appears somewhere else in the description box.

Along with the suggestion here, increase the character limit on the description section (double it? Pretty please? Or at least 1500-2000?)

New issue anyone? "So's your face"

Even if you took away the -jump on Rooted and Granite, even if it was just enough to jump half of a normal jump, and halve the run penalty divided evenly between Granite and Rooted...that would be enough. And, y'know what? It'd still be balanced*, it would simply be a QoL improvement.

*In comparison to what the set is already. Wether it is balanced overall and in comparison to other sets is a whole other thread.
You know, I'm just gonna stop posting in these stone armor threads. They always go around in circles because there's always people who are fine with stone armor and there's always people who gripe about the speed and jump penalties.

If they want to remove the penalties, fine. I do not agree with that because it would essentially put granite closer to the point of being just as effective at managing aggro, dealing damage, and chasing people down in PVP than they are currently. Adding the ability to jump, whether you see it or not, is a HUGE buff in many areas, as would be reducing the run speed debuff. I don't believe that could feasibly come without a nerf to rooted or granite in some other area, and losing the buff while in the air is really less than a slap on the wrist.

A lot of things would have to change for stone to change (without more drawbacks being added), and as I said before I would probably not be happy to make the sacrifice :P

It does when the set is "balance by annoyance" As people seem to enjoy phrasing here.

Why should there be a risk of getting mezzed jsut to get over a six inch curb? That makes less than no sense at all. It's a blatant Jackanism.
It is what it is, and to remove it something else would have to be compromised. I'm not willing to make that sacrifice

No I completely agree with you that mud pots sucks. I've never liked it and it's a terrible aggro power in my play experience. I don't have end problems though.

And I see more and more stone armor characters these days, so I don't accept your counterfoil (In face I've seen at least 6 different stoners in the past week which surprised me because it's more than I've ever seen in the past)

Seriously, there are some people who will love the 'Granite Set' come rain or fire. That's fine and dandy, and I understand that. However, the changes suggested penalise no one, and make the set much more open to players for whome the current arbitrary restrictions (and, face it, they are) are simply too much to allow for enjoyment of the set.
Yes, you are correct. It penalizes no one and makes an already strong set better. I don't agree with that.

Playing something a long time ago and playing it now after big changes makes big differences. Specially when things you're making suggestions for make no sense like using sprint in granite (This sends me a big red flag because anybody who has used granite for more than a week should know exactly how and how they can't begin to try to get around the handicaps). I'm not saying you're completely ignorant of the set, but you should play it again and get re familiarized with it so you can make more concise suggestions on how to change it.

Just my 2 cents, but I'm still going to disagree with removing the movement penalties no matter hw you try to justify it (most likely) so I'm just saying this for the sake of helping you convince other people :P
  14. Okay, I'm apologizing in advance for being all formal with this but this is what I'm looking for in a nutshell

Supergroup Age: Don't care as long as it's active.

What do you mean by active?: I want a supergroup that does things together. I don't want my life regimented by "Hey we have a weekly IC meeting and this cool base with teleporters. Join us!". I want an SG that is a smaller (under 30-40 people) sg with a tight-knit group to it. Most memorable hero and villain groups in comics are small bands of people, not giant groups of faceless people like the X-men who have a bond that doesn't even hold up to a pressure washer. I want maybe 2-4 people on a day actively RPing, doing things together, creating interesting story arcs to run through ICly etc. Not asking for a huge group of people here, but if you have that and it works I may consider it

Supergroup alignment Hero-Rogue: Basically I'm tired of mysterious badass types. You know them well. Look at me I dress in all black (Alternatively a suit with sunglasses) and I can't tell you my last name because it's super serially specially top sekret. I don't care what the alignment is as long as it fits the other criteria, except villain. I've given up on the idea that people can RP true villains well without trying to be crazed psychopaths with a gore fetish.

    Roleplay level:
Heavy. I want role play to be the main focus of the SG, not getting purples for your mains, IOs for your alts, and alpha slots for everybody and their grandmother. I will happily do that too, but I crave story driven/ character developing/ thought provoking/ comic book worthy/ role play above all else and I do not want to stand in pocket D being insulted ICly and OOCly by <insert troll name here> at all times to do it. I want an SG that makes full use of the mission architect, the world, and their base for RP.

RP fights: I'd really rather not get into it. Honestly. It's rarely a fair fight and everyone always has OOC motives towards something. Unless it's 'scripted' (aka the outcome is mostly known) for an event and both parties are fully agreeing to it to further a storyline, I'm really not into the RP fighting with other players.

    Member age:
Mature. And I don't mean ERP, though I don't like people who discriminate against those who do that either. What I mean by mature is language, maturity (spamming, trolling, posting things from 4chan... not a fan), themes, etc.

I think that's it for now. Best way to reach me is through a PM here or a tell to @the X in game because I check them far more often than I check this forum. Look forward to hearing from some of you, and sorry about being formal and blunt and all XD I'm a lot nicer in person, promise ^_^
  15. Honestly I miss my instant healing as a toggle and that's really about the point I started losing interest in my regen because I no longer felt like regen. I felt like self-empathy.

Put the regen back in regeneration.
  16. I'd suggest playing the set you're making suggestions on before you go making suggestions for it.

I'm perfectly happy with the way Stone Armor is right now personally and I've not used teleport inside granite for nearly a week (Why do I feel like I'm at an AA meeting telling people I'm sober?).
  17. Good stuff, and that last one made me giggle :P
  18. Great detail in the surroundings on that second one.

I see water tanks, must be set in New York! =P

    Ohhhh okay
  20. Out of curiosity what's that stuff at the top, fire/water?
  21. I like the new art but I thought you should know clicking the pic is sending me to the goblin queen piece from Ross
  22. I'd love to walk as my stone armor character in granite (who I RP as a golem) but that's another beast entirely :P

    Anywho, I support this.
  23. Well here's my two cents.

My main used to be exactly what you are, claws/regen.

I lost my love for regen when Willpower came out because it was so glaringly better than regen is.

My main gripes with regeneration are very similiar to yours.

I fully agree with the -regen resistance and they need it badly.

I don't have as big a problem against -recharge but I wouldn't argue against that either.

I do not agree with adding in defense and resistance however. We do have a bit of toxic, smashing and lethal resistance but they are very minor amounts and I'm personally happy with that. We're supposed to take considerably more damage than other sets. Besides Moment of Glory is right now the single most overpowered thing I have on any character (I still miss the old moment of glory).

    -----------------
My problem lies in the actual regeneration that the set provides. I find it subpar at best. Without instant healing factored in, /regeneration barely has the upper hand in regeneration when compared to Willpower (Specially if that willpower is fighting large groups). I think all the regeneration effects in the set should be doubled, or something near it. Or better yet, increase regens base health regen rate so those regeneration percentages actually mean something besides single digit number increases.

That's kind of like saying "Just because the boss said we shouldn't drink on the job isn't a good reason not to do it."
I think he's going for the tank man strategy.

You know, standing in front of a column of tanks in defiance and trying to convince them otherwise even though they've already shot down hundreds of your brethren and could easily run you over in that big tank.

Not saying there's many similarities in the circumstances otherwise mind you, just the principle.
