My story is largely comprised of badge names (hence the name pun), and is a short story of a repairman who has an epic dream of his own adventures... if he were a superhero, with a tragic end.

Took me about 5 minutes and I'm not expecting anything but I had fun with it

I think a lot of you are missing the point entirely, to have fun.
  2. Am I the only one that thinks Lurker and Optical are the same exact person? Really? Is that necessary to have a second account to post in your own threads to look like you have more support than you do? If I'm wrong I apologize but there's a massive resemblance.

As far as the topic... I'd have to completely disagree with the idea on many many levels, one of the main ones being that the entire point of a secondary is that it's just that... a secondary. It's not supposed to be your main attraction, and you may not start out with something you like. I'm against this whole notion of instant gratification that's been sweeping the younger generation these days. Do something for your reward.
  3. The tall tale of Bad Ges:

A coldblooded iron warrior walks the earth. Entrusted with the secret, Hell hath no fury for the handsome man as frozen fury sought to meltdown this superstar. Ghost touched vigilantes obligated to pwnz any trigger man, any villain disruptor, any instigator, and most definitely any Man in Black, burning the midnight oil and riding their ostentatious horses, shall be dauntless homewreckers until they find the agent of discord.

This brave risk taker, once a couch potato, is a believer he saved the world from slag reapers when the master of arms accelerated the warhead that was under fire by the pumpkin king. The general shared victory with his battery powered air pirates...

...Sadly, the repairman awoke from the siren's song known as sleep, cursing his oppressors for declining his pay raise. That night, somewhere in time, the repairman took his life. He drove an 18-wheel trucker like a speed demon into the ocean to sink like a drowned rat. But, destined for Valhalla, the unbroken spirit lived on.

    To this day,
    The faithful say,
    The repairman has his calibrator.
    And on stone cold nights,
    Filled with temporal strife,
    Asunder tears the glitch exterminator.

    Animorph pack

Oh dear god please leave WoW out of this thread. Seriously, get out right now if you plan to use WoW as an example.

I seriously doubt not being able to run on all fours is going to have City of Heroes left in the dust.
  5. I wish it would get published today :P

Okay, then I'd like to lower the time a character stays in game. THEN have a log out now button

I mean, ideally it sounds like a nice idea but if you try it in PVP you're going to die anyway, and debt is more trivial than crushing an ant under your thumb so.. either way I don't see much reason to keep it anymore.

    Log out now?

I'm getting at being able to log out faster to switch to alts and such (I know at least 15 other people personally who have 10+ alts, and I switch pretty frequently sometimes).... and with the ability to actually log to the character screen for once instead of having to log all the way back in... it would please me greatly to see the time at least cut to 15 seconds or something.

I think disabling the ability to logout while in combat would suffice to nix the "Quick escape" deal, because as you mentioned quitting works just fine for that.

    Log out now?

I would love an option to bypass the 30 second logout timer like we do with the "quit" option.

    Or lower the timer...

    Or remove the timer altogether...

Any of these would make my day go just a little bit smoother.
  11. The only thing I want to know about I19 is... when is it coming out... and who can I sleep with to make that sooner.

    Double EXP

Is there a double EXP weekend rolling about anytime soon?

I'm itching to get my new main to 50 faster.. and maybe an alt...
  14. SenseiBlur

    Car Chases.

Don't forget the endless uses of portals to other dimensions.

    Story arc OR task force
This could be used to appease you western types out there

Mission 1: Clear the time traveling <insert mob here> out of the old <insert year here> <insert town name here>. Ambushes of local lawmen will still see you as a threat so knock them out (or kill them) too.

Mission 2: The leader of said time travelling mobs escaped and hired a large local gang, oufitting them with new weapons. They are escaping on a train they've hijacked. Take them all down and rescue the train (or take the gold stash on the train for yourself)

I don't know, just some random thoughts... basic premise is you go back in time to some point and get on a train that IS large enough to fight on... or go forward in time... whatever works best.
  15. Incarnate pets.

Bots: Giant mech akin to Titan Class robots. 3 rocket attacks (1 of those being hellfire missiles), ranged burn patch, grenade launcher, giant plasma beam (cone high damage)

Ninjas: A giant TRUE oni with an iron club (Boss/elite boss level war mace)

Thugs: 2Pac. <.< No? Yeah I've really got nothing for this one unless you just go with the standby of a really strong SS/Invuln brute with Leadership that affects the whole team

Zombies: This one is obvious, you have to have a very large undead Bruce Campbell with a chainsaw for a right arm, a left arm capable of using various ranged dark-themed controls, offensive attacks, and maybe twilight grasp.

Demons: Archdemon. No idea what to do for the spells there

Mercenaries: Previous suggestions match pretty well... either a woman or a "Huge" scale guy with a big rail gun and an ammo backpack. Give him full auto with a very short cooldown, a grenade, a kick from martial arts and a punch from some other set and you're straight.
  16. God forbid you not be able to perform every role ever thought possible with one spec.

I don't agree with extra slots for kheldians at all.
  17. Your smaller font is making my old eyes sad.
  18. As it is I don't like the suggestion.

However.... I think you are onto something else entirely. With the incarnate system right around the corner, I can EASILY see something like this being an option. Based on your powerset, you could get a "final" incarnate power that can be your ultimate pet. While this ultimate pet is active, you can control no other pet.

As far as summoning, I think it's safe to say.... your entire endurance bar is 100% gone.
  19. Alrighty, well I'm at 33% defense now that I'm IOed out so I figure I'm well on my way for that then. Thanks for the responses.

    An Alien Origin

Sam, I know you want to, and it's proper for this thread, so please do =P
  21. Title says it all. I'm a level 32 Claws/Willpower scrapper. I'm a noob with Willpower and I'll readily admit it... feels like regen had a baby with Ninjitsu. I know willpower is supposed to be good but how do I become unstoppable and extremely hard to kill (aside from the instant death that endurance drain brings me)?

I just blew a fair amount of money on IOs to bump up my max HP and regen which helped a good deal but what should I be shooting for? Should I be aiming at well rounded? Should I be going after so much regen it makes my eyes bleed heals? Should I aim at getting as much defense/resistance as I possibly can through IOs and tough/weave (I'm fairly certain tough and weave are going to be necessary upon thinking on it...)

Attacking power takes second place with me at the moment as I already have that slotted easily for mindless destruction so, basically... willpower help pretty please!
  22. Ssslitherssshot. IO'ed 32 Claws/Willpower scrapper at your service if you see me online, and if you're alone I'll likely bring guildies for a full team.

    An Alien Origin

Everything I could have said was already said.

No thank you, there's no need for it at all. Alien = Natural
  24. All of these have been suggested, some far more recent than others.

    1. Mm pet customization, yes. Other class pet control? No.
    2. I'm fairly certain they are available but... if not, yet another costume request.
    3. Uh, no. Turn down your sound if you don't like them, there's probably plenty of people who do like them.
    4. Yes
    5. NO, NO, NO, and HELL NO. This has been brought up several times and every time it's a vicious battle. The concensus is hell no, but adding a room somewhere for the no-power people would be okay.
    6. No, probably not. Every other weapon has an equal draw animation, dual pistols aren't special.
    7. No to the sounds, but the other half falls under power customization, so sure.
    8. This is suggested so often in various forms that your eyes would bleed with search results if you bothered to do one, and I'm probably not exaggerating. And I still want it as well.
    9. This is also suggested fairly often and very badly wanted by... tons of people....for years.
  25. Anything below what it is now all the way to zero sounds good to me.

As a side note, "Strobing" as was mentioned earlier is still 100% do-able by turning on and off SG mode. I saw 5 people doing it together last night. It was cute at first, but after about ten seconds it made me want to slap the lot of them with a fish.

So unless a timer is also added to exiting/entering SG mode, I do not see this as a valid argument against killing the timer completely as it stands unless you're going to specifically target the costume pieces and not color.
