Then you shouldn't get debt from them either.

Quote:Indeed. There was also a time I got this mission that ended in that stupid Nazi Bath House and had three of the Transformation Chambers right next to each other right at the top of the stairs. I wound up with a friggin' army of defense debuffing vampyrs chasing me around.Going up the walled-in stairs to the third floor you can aggro a boss spawn and two random spawns to shoot you in the back, and you really don't have a way of pulling back since there's just that tiny corridor to fight in if you do.

Quote:Yeah... I know what you mean. I hate it that summoned mobs don't give any XP. Seriously, if I'm going to risk my neck killing all of those Devouring Earth that were called by a Will of the Earth crystal for example, I want some friggin' XP.My only problem with cysts is more related to how the current devs haven't gone back to fix the heavy-handed changes by the prior regime that don't necessarily fit the current day game.
Remember the portal nerf? The monkey nerf? They were both necessary but done differently. I don't like cysts because they're all risk and no (or insanely little) reward. Put the unbound nicti on the underling reward table (since that's probably the only workable solution that doesn't completely reverse the nerf) and I wouldn't have an issue. But as they stand now, just like the garbage spewed by summoning mobs now, they can give you debt but when you kill 'em, you get nothing. All risk, no reward.
Well, that plus I don't like how Kheldians are treated like a disease (once one "infects" your team, you're stuck with that infection even after the Kheld leaves the team, until you completely disband and reform). -
Quote:Indeed. My Storm defender has done just fine with Electric Blast. Granted, it's STORM, but I see nothing wrong with his damage output.>.>

Ok, here's the deal; the very second the devs say anything about improving elec blast's performance; I'll be right there with you with chants of "equality for dual pistols!"
Now, having said that, and admitting that I have not yet played DP... Many of my ranged characters use elec blast (most of those without a secondary set that compliments it by providing more '-end'), and I really don't see what everyone's problem with it is.
So if it is better than elec, then it is not THE worst... and if it's not THE worst- then any cries to re-work its performance should be directed towards that which is the worst, which is ostensibly elec blast. ... for which buffing pleas have fallen on deaf ears for a long time. -
Heh... oh man, I never really saw it that way. True, it is SO big that it pretty much stands in as half the mission space.

Yeah, this still happens to me from time to time. You'd think this'd be fixed by now.

Quote:Why would you want to slot it? What on earth would you slot it with? Candy?Hi,
I just made a DP for the kick and took Swap Ammo and I don't see the point of buying a power slot just to get almost nothing in return. I understand it can bypass some resistances but it's kind of expansive and there are many lethal sets that do well enough.
The worse thing about it is probably that it is unslottable though which is a big handicap at lvl 50 compared to other power sets.
Is there something I'm missing about that power or is it really as skippable as it appears to be?

Quote:I believe Full Auto is just a longer cone version of Burst.I think it's a pretty nice set.
It doesn't have Rain of Arrows, but Rain of Arrows is...well...honestly, it's overpowered. No other blaster gets such a sweet nuke. It's like the wonderful warshade Quaser + 1 small cab + Stygian Circle to suck back full endurance, it's that cool. If you could shoot HoB from range instead of PBAoE, well, it'd be a pretty darn cool nova-lite, too.
never had an AR get high enough to see what their nova does since i don't particularly enjoy playing blasters. It's just a long cone like PR, but with more max targets, isn't it? -
This thread is bizarre. Dual Pistols literally stopped "sucking" after the tweaking it received just before closed beta ended. Are some people here still playing closed beta by any chance because they're stuck in a strange time warp? I do recall having much difficulty with the set then, but after the boost it was fine.

Quote:Well cysts aren't particularly pleasant to have. Sometimes they can be painful and they're just gross bulging under the skin like t--I wasn't the team leader
Also, the fact option 3 at all is kind of...well..sad? The Devs said the reason they were lowering the level for EATs was because they didnt want them to be locked out to the wider player base.
So when it comes to there being more Kheldians around, will people simply not invite them?
"We don't want Kheldians, we get Cysts!"
I really hope not...
Oh. You mean the other Cysts.
Yeah, I generally like any sort of spawn that summons a bunch of other critters. It makes the situation far more difficult than you were hoping. -
I've never been excluded from a team for being a Mastermind. At least, not yet anyway.

The cake room sucks just as much as its more fascist brother, the Nazi Bath House.

Quote:I always use snipes as openers. They're good for pulling.
Snipes are... Odd powers, and I've taken enough heat over them to last me for a while. Basically, they have the WORST DPA of any power in a Blast, they have indecent DPS AND they're interruptible. This makes them bad in a pinch, bad during Build Up, bad in the middle of a fight and basically only really good as openers, which you'd think would make them recharge a little slower and hit a little harder. They're something I'd look to canibalise into a decent attack, but I'll just get trodden on for suggesting it. -
Man oh man, just imagine if the current detractors of DP had been in closed beta. They probably would have slit both their wrists in an emo fit of rage.
Trust me people, DP is a lot better now than it was in closed beta. The Change Ammo power had this lame push-swap-push-swap-push-swap function rather than the cool toggles it has now. Also, the damage had been really, really anemic then and the recharge times and endurance costs painfully long and costly respectively. Then, a few hours before open beta, it got a needed boost and the set I'd say has rocked ever since. So if you think its performance is poor now, I'd love to see how you would have responded to the way it used to be. -
Quote:Ah look, a time traveller from closed beta!Is it just me, or does this set seem ridiculously underpowered compared to other sets. Low damage, little useful utility. Right now it looks to me like the worst blast set. Why not make it at least comparable to existing sets? If this is the "New Toy" that's supposed to be part of bringing back old customers and gaining new ones, then I don't think it's going to be effective. It's a little bit like this video:

That "kidnap innocent civilians for the Vahzilok" mission. I giggle like a demented sociopath every time.
