How many Lucks were you popping at a time? 4 gets you to the soft cap and no matter what the mob is, it starts missing a lot. It doesn't matter how many there are, they can't hit you.
  3. It is indeed, since I do speak leet. Don't ask me how... one day I just simply read a sentence in leet and understood it without any prior experience.

The problem was not that I wasn't focusing on her, its that I can't take hits from 10+ Vanessas on a level 19 character - especially on a character with no shields whatsoever. I can't carry enough breakfrees to protect myself from ten mezzing/sleeping/whatever Vanessas. I would have assembled a team, but in Praetoria that would have meant facing 30 Vanessas, not just ten: I know how Praetoria rolls. Teams just make it worse.

    *abandon mission from contact* Finito.
Did you try Lucks? Lucks help immensely.

I've never done this mission before, but I have a very bad feeling about it. The temptation to stock up on reds and purples and put all my faith in an opening AS is high.
She isn't actually that hard of a fight. Yeah, purples are always key with EB fights, but after that preparation, she goes down like a chump.

I usually have this with any EB. They don't all go down easy and will always be the most challenging fights you have. I was satisfied that one of my Dominators soloed Protean despite his irritating regen rate, I just hovered in a corner and hit him with ranged attacks and immobilize. Eventually he went down.

Oh, and a little while ago, my tanker killed Ghost Widow, alone, without a Shivan (which I recall was almost always recommended with her). Despite a number of hospital trips and cheating ***** powers, she eventually went down.
  6. Yeah, I'd sure like to know how the Rikti are connected. It's almost a non sequitur. The only connection I can think of is the fact that the Rikti repelled their reality's version of the Battalion from their world millennia ago.

What I meant was Incarnate stuff for Loyalists. Y'know, like raid Nemesis Rex's home for Cole or bomb Axis Amerika to oblivion for Cole, etc. etc..

One of these choices implies that the story sucks on all levels, no matter who is looking at it. That is a huge problem that should be addressed.

The other one can't be helped, because pleasing everyone is impossible. If a Dev worried about making everyone happy, they'd never put out a game because it would never be finished.

Praetoria, nor the Incarnate story, fall under the first option. There are things about both I probably would have done a bit differently, but I let go of where I expected the story to go and am trying to enjoy where the writers are taking us with THEIR story.
    Signed.

Also, after those 2 Trials, there is a lot more Praetorian content to come
I hope its Loyalist content (it really doesn't make sense that die-hard Loyalist characters are suddenly fighting Praetorians) and Incarnate solo-friendly content for whatever side of the fence the character sits on.

Another thing that you cannot give credit to. Still wrong.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to justify handicapped individuals when there are heroes going around capable of healing people.

But what about the Rogue Isles?

Even some of the Praetors are not evil. Antimatter just has bad taste in women and Bobcat has bad taste in guys and seems to be a ditz. Dominatrix, Diabolique, Mother Mayhem, Malaise, and Infernal are rotten to the core. Siege and Nightstar are programmed so it is debatable if they are evil or not. Not sure where to put Cole and Neuron. Praetoria is not the mirror universe version of Primal Earth, but an Earth where things went very, very wrong and certain people had to make difficult decisions that ruined their innocence.
Praetor White seems like a pretty decent fellow as well, despite his short fuse and the fact that he punches like a truck. Sure, he supplies the Destroyers with Fixadine, but they used to be his old gang and he wasn't the one who got them hooked on it in the first place.

We can blame Dominatrix for that.

If that's a shot at the prequels, then frankly you can't really give them credit as each film, like any other film, must be judged separately and they didn't exist way back when, well, Star Wars came out.

So no. They were not right.

If you think your side of the argument is obvious then say it's obvious to you, and lay out the position. If it's not obvious then I'll ask why it's obvious, but don't say "My position is obvious, and most of the players agree with me, because everyone I've run into thinks the same". I don't know who he asked - was it friends (which tends to be a self selected homogenous group)? Was it randoms? How many? What percentage of the player base? Across multiple servers? On the forums (which is a self selected group of people with generally strong opinions)? Without that information, a statement that "most people believe that..." might or might not be lying, but I have no way of finding out.
Venture always seems to make those styles of arguments. I think he believes himself as some kind of self-imposed representative of the entire playerbase.

Um, yeah... well I'll state here and now, he doesn't speak for me or anyone else who isn't him. Venture's just one player. Screw his ego.

I never really listen that much to critics anyway. They are almost always wrong. Anyone remember Star Wars' critical reception? Case. In. Point.
  19. Just about every bit of dialogue from Doc Buzzsaw and Vernon von Grun. I love those two, they crack me up.

Also, Dmitri Krylov has a few good lines: "What you wait for! Krylov wants those notes before scary supermodel leaves!"
