  1. Great guide! I'll take a look at your builds once I get to my computer. I'm currently using soul mastery and darkest night definitely helps a ton. And once they fix the rage crash bug it will help that much more for the defense loss.

    Respec question

    I was going steal some purple sets from my main and try them on another toon but for some reason after I was done it reverted me back to my original build. It's like I hit cancel but I'm fairly positive I didn't. There was a message that popped up and I clicked ok before I read it. Have I missed something? Probably just human error but I'm at work now so I thought I'd go ahead and ask. Thx.

    Looking at your most recent build I have a ton of thoughts.

    Drop taunt.

    Only two slot hasten

    Add Ragnarok:knockdown proc in Ball Lightning. This owns!

    Add slots to tough. More resist and more end/red

    Less slots in stamina. 4 max

    drop a slot from super jump. you don't need the AoE defense.

    add two zephyr's to combat jumping

    drop the end red from knockout blow.

    Here's my current build. 164% recharge. Defense Capped. The empty slot in Deflection is the PVP Enhancement that gives you another +3% global defense.

    interesting build, however, your defense is only soft capped when a teammate is within range. AoE is not soft capped nor range. Ranged defense is only off by .3 though.

    you could change tough to an aegis set and that will give you some more AOE defense.

  5. Chain induction is a cone attack that jumps to other targets and causes you to lose some exp if I remember correctly. LR has a long recharge and the damage disapates the further away from the target location. And thunderstrike has a 8 foot AOE that is from your target so you hardly ever hit anyone behind you.
  6. Ss is better mainly because of the radius of the attack and the recharge time. Plus rage.

    I'm working on a ss/shield for the extra Aoe shield charge, but I'm worried about survivability. I fight boss spawns and a few good hits will probably kill me even if soft capped. Guess we'll see once I get fully IO'd out.
  7. What are you fighting? Minions? Lt's? Bosses? Spawn for 8?

    As far as I'm concerned my SS/SA is fastest because I don't spend time dying on my boss farm. Heh.

    One question to shield users... Can you farm boss maps? Is the defense good enough to survive 10-16 bosses on you?

    Ok let's say I'm shield defense and I'm soft capped. I've heard that darkest night isn't necessary. My question is, what if I'm fighting Lt's or bosses? Will DN lower their acc enough to basically soft cap me to them? I'm not good with the number crunching. Thank you.

    Hi, I'm new to badge hunting but I'd like to get some accolades.

    My question is, my main is lvl 50 so how do you generally get your badges that you should have gotten at the lower levels? Like for instance the marshal accolade requires the paragon of vice badge and that lvl range is between 10-20 or something. Do I have to use the ouroboros missions or is there another way?

    Looking at both builds and numbers, they are pretty close in my opinion. I like my SS/Shield and the build I'm aiming for will be ridiculously powerful. Also ridiculously expensive, coming in at around 2-3 billion. But, with SS/Shield, you can soft-cap and have 1 second off perma-hasten and have more than decent AoE capability with a AAO fueled Shield Charge, Foot Stomp, Ball Lightning. Foot Stomp recharging everyone 6 seconds.

    /Fire is good too but I think /Shield looks pretty spectacular as well.

    Normally I would agree with you, but I'm looking for alternatives to slotting powers for defense. In my build I can't use any purple IO's because I'm forced to slot for defense to soft cap... So hopefully I can get rid of a few percents and free up some slotting. Also taking the stealth line will allow me to throw in a couple more LotG's.

    If you attack or get hit by an attack Stealth's defense suppresses to half its normal value. Really not worth slotting for defense in my opinion.

    Actually it's not. I built mine for about 80M, which is cheap compared to billion infamy builds you see posted. And yes, it's soft capped for both melee/ranged and with AoE at 42%.

  22. Well I've been farming and selling on the black market for a long time... I pretty much have an unlimited amount of influence to spend on the build. I will also be taking soul mastery for the AOE -tohit debuff. Together I'm thinking I'll be ok.
