YAY! I love my Fire/Fire Brute!!
No more coffee for you!
fire burns, stone smashes
Fire = jazz hands of doom
just think, you haven't even picked up electric fences yet
i can't wait to see how excited you will be with the immobilize+burn combo
and, btw, fa/fm is my favorite toon by far and that is out of almost 20 level 50's
enjoy
Fa/fm is a real hoot to play. I am not sure of your build, but if you don't have fighting pool, I would pickup both tough and weave. Some don't advocate the use of weave, but I find it is a great place to slot a LotG rech IO at the very least. My fiery brute is my favorite to play as well.
I agree with Rowley- picking up an immobilizer from epic pool is great. You never realize how hot Burn is until you are cooking mobs that are simply unable to run away. I fully advocate cranking the heat up and cooking everything that gets in your way... haha

Word.
I'm feeling that way with my elec/shield Brute. Almost immediately became my favorite villain and been playing almost nothing but that character. Not bad for what was supposed to be a VG filler.
thanks for the kind replies.. yeah I have the fighting pool.. just completed the MU Arc and am now going to respec for Burn so I can toast mofos while they are caged
I guess I' should slot the immobilizer with 2 ACC's/rec/immo?
As far as powers I've got @ 44:
Undead Big @$$ axe thingy
Fre Melee-
Fire Sword
Incinerate
Cremate
FSC
Greater FS
Firey Aura-
FS
PS
Consume
BA
Healing Flames
Rof-I know that some don't like this, on my Tank I dont need it but I play like a crasy man with my Brute and tend to /faceplant... being able to get and be right back into the fight up is neto, and the animation is sweet!
Fitness pool - all prerecs
Fighting -
punch
tough
weave
leaping -
CJ
SJ
Acro
Mu Epic -
Charge bolts(or whatever its called going to respec out of this)
Elec fences
I don't have hasten, I have one recharge in each attack, 2 in FSC and they seem to be up pretty often. I just don't see a need for it on my Brute at this point..perhaps later I'll get it (@47) & respec to add slots to it..
Fiery Melee is perhaps the most underrated Brute primary. It's way, way better than it usually get credit for.
And the only thing that's better than Fiery/Fiery, is Fiery/Shield.

I agree, fire/shield Brute is a blast and it looks great too.
I can say the same of my 50 fire/fire scrapper, and he doesn't have the fighting pool. He does have tentacles for burn from the epics though.

After a long time on my SS/WP brute I've been considering making a Fire/Fire Brute to go along with my fire/fire blaster. I can see how having an aura would make him great. Anyways here is my experimental build. Please give opinions.

Not trying to jack the thread. Just thought this would be a good place to post this instead of starting and entirely new thread.
Oh and yeah fire brutes!
Jaysun- get hasten! Aside from the fact that it rhymes with your name, +recharge is a fiery aura's best friend. It makes your tools like healing flames and consume available more often and increases your survivability.
Seeing as your worst enemy is -recharge, I would drop Acrobatics and grab temperature protection. There are easily enough IO options out there to help you deal with kb without blowing a power choice and adding more end drain to your build. Temperature protection will add more resistance to your build and also add some slow protection.

hmm I'll see about trying to get a respec TF up tonight or the next time I log.. I used my Epic respec last night..does anyone run those on the red side? I need to find out where to start it on the red side.
Yay I was planning on picking it(hasten) up @ 47(45 now).. like I said, I haven't felt a need for it, generally my attacks are up pretty quickly.
I haven't gotten into IO's yet... I'll make sure to see if I can purchase that one to, like you said, said one less toggle is good and have the extra resistance
on a side note burn+elec fences=yay!
Even though your attacks feel quick, there is certainly no harm in maximizing your recharge for healing flames and more attacks. After all, the quicker you kill something, the less you have to worrya about it killing you. And 70% recharge is 70% recharge.
So I see you have discovered the joy of patron immobs and burn.
As far as the respec TF, just hang around in Cap for a min and maybe advertise your interest in respec and you will find one. Also, be sure to change your LF flag to the yellow SF symbol and plug a line in about respec.

I would love if Villains had a Patron power pool that was fire to go with all fire concept but we dont . Some as indicated above adovate going for Mu's for the electric Fences and Burn combo. Nothing wrong with that it is nice. However Darkest night in the Ghost Widow is great for a lower protection set like Fm/Fa. 21 percent damage reduction and 10-16 to hit debuff. Should at least consider it.
yeaH I considered Gost Widow but no true "AOE" immobile kinda kept me away..
having to position the teneticles would be a pain
yeah I would like the Hero Epic pools as well, with the Fire Epic..
Char, Firecages=yummy!
For my play style, I decided the immob+ burn was better than darkest night. I would rather kill stuff faster than have it sticking around with lower -acc and to hit slowly killing me.
Personally, I went with Mace mastery because I like the look of the mace and that immob.

Man I can't stand it I love this toon so much...I've just returned after about a year and was playing my Blaster, got him to 46. I was trying to get him to 50(my first hah!)
but then I logged into my 32ish Fire/Fire Brute and SMASH is FUUUNNN! He's no about to hit 41; mowing through mobs like its not even funny! Haven't touched my Blaster in a week!
If I get on a great team that throws buffs on me I just run from group to group gloriously laying down the SMASH on everything haha!!
Granted he's not as tough as my Fire/fire tank-thats not saying much since /FA isn't one of the tougher sets..
but mein! SMASH with a bit of TOASTING is glorious!!
When I came back I had to respec; I used the Fire/Fire guide(I6).. while it was outdated I was about to obtain some info from it and add my own info for new players to the end of it.
Once I hit 50 I'll write up a Fire/Fire Brute guide of my own.
Since he tends to drop alot more frequently than my Tank I picked up ROF..WOW !! haha too funny luv iT!
All in all I know that Fire as been nerfed and isn't the FOTM anymore, based upon the amount of Fire Brutes that I've seen-or lack there of. Its still a viable set
I'd like to try another Brute soon, I have an Elec/Elec Brute that is 12ish but I just didn't seem to get into him-yet.
In any event I'd thought I'd share my love of da SMASH with my fellow Brutes!
