Like Aggelakis said, Snipers (and turrets) have a self-immobilize power that normally prevents them from moving. You might be confusing the sniper's lack of protection from knockback and repel powers as being able to move. Turrets have protection against those effects in addition to being immobilized.

Because arguing against ideas is part of how those ideas get refined and revised if the person arguing against them explains why they're opposed to the idea. It's part of how discussions work in the real world. "Agree or say nothing" is just another way of mandating sycophancy. i will always argue against mandatory sycophancy.

Well, there a number of programs and hardware like gaming mice and keyboards that support macros, and i'm not sure if those are forbidden since they can't actually play the game as such. The simplest can be set to periodically trigger a power/keystroke. i suppose that technically counts as botting, but it's really on the low end of exploiting in my opinion. Of course there's always damage auras and using a MM.

The suggestion i like most is just roaming PvP zones looking in the nooks and crannies and then taking over an AFK farm when you find one. Kill the farmer and then spend a few minutes killing the farmer's target dummies whenever they rez. Lather, rinse, repeat, move on.

Just remember, the more you react to the griefers, the more they'll grief you. If they don't get a rise out of you, they'll move onto other targets.
A number of the buffs that break emotes are now AoE. Actually most of them are, i think. And those powers also usually surround your character with an aura, many of which can be made very bright and gaudy colours. Yes, you can cancel them, but somehow i find suddenly being engulfed in hot pink flames in addition to having an emote interrupted far more annoying.

So the main advantage to the snowball compared to every other emote disrupting power that's available year round is the ability to harass a single target.

    Lurking and waiting to strike.

While i can understand the appeal of the Players Board concept i don't think it's all that workable or useful in the proposed context. Most of the players whose knowledge and judgment i have the most regard for already have ongoing contact with the Devs even if it's simply by PMing them. Things like the Pummit panels, the Ustream chats, and the boards already supply other avenues of contact. Overall the level of Dev interaction with the playerbase exceeds my expectations and any other sizable MMO i've heard of. (Take that, Victorian grammar Nazis!) Of course it can always be better, but even with further reflection i don't think the Players Board would be the best solution.

*Unless we're talking the Rage crash damage debuff, but that's neither unexpected, unknown or at all mysterious.

DJ Zero's ability to work the crowd easily exceeds his skill at mixing and putting together a set.

Turns out his real name is Richard Talent.

That's what i thought it was as well.

As in that doesn't match what i saw at the time. There was an extended period, much more than a few weeks, where all the plaques i saw and all the in game lore referred to an unspecified group doing all the 5th Column antics where it hadn't been changed to Council. Even the changes afterwards could've referred to the past events as having been done by the 5th Column before it was taken over from within by the Council. Instead all historic references were changed to the Council. Yes, much of that was later reverted, but it happened over years, not days. For some time the battles that replaced the 5th Column with the Council extended back into the past, effectively making so that they'd never existed.

Restoring the 5th Column was definitely not a hotfix that happened days later considering the threads speculating about their vanishing were ongoing far longer than that. i'm pretty sure any Dev acknowledgment that it had happened took far longer than a few days. Of course it was some time ago, and i don't exactly archive old forum threads, but i'm pretty sure your version of events is less accurate.

Anyway, that's all in the past, but i found it pretty amusing when it happened. And i did lament no longer being able to beat up the *cough*Nazi*cough* 5th Column troops. The Council just lacked some of the flavor and style that the 5th had. Although the Galaxies were a nice addition.

Yeah, this is a public death, nothing like the 5th Column's being disappeared from ever having existed years back. Of course the fact that all mention of the 5th Column in game was expunged for a while and the 5th Column still returned does make a little dubious the permanence of Statesman's death.

You mean like tights like Iron Man, The Thing, Thor, Tigra, X23, Wildfire, Positron, Infernal, War Machine, Luke Cage, Swamp Thing, Beast, and Hulk wear?

Now it might be worth pointing out that the only thing the winners of a CC show is what the judge's preferences are and has little to do with anything else, but considering the critical thinking skills you've demonstrated in the past it would probably be a waste of everyone's time.

So instead i'll just post this:

Yes, that is why I said she's depraved by BDSM standards.
    Agreed.
With GG i always keep in mind that GG has a very narrow, opinionated mindset and that the most likely reason she didn't qualify her statement is probably that she believes anything related to BDSM is all badwrongthink that would be forbidden in her just and all-embracing world if she was rule. (All-embracing of only the things she prefers and believes because anything else is evil and wrong.) Still, as long as the topic stays within the incredibly narrow slice of reality she sees and accepts she occasionally makes useful points.

Yup. Exactly. Just like "only French Canadians, pedobears, and heroin addicts like that" is also a racist comment. (And yet i perversely yearn to someday, somehow have a good reason to make that assertion.)

At least it's less incongruous than apparently regular civilians two-shotting superheroes who've gained power beyond even the average superhuman.

"But the Seers are debuffing you" as a reason for ordinary citizens with rocks maiming superhumans just doesn't work from a genre and player expectation/suspension of disbelief standpoint.

Yeah. S&M isn't particularly my cup of tea, but i know people who are into it. For the most part they're really nice people who if anything tend to be less judgmental and hurtful towards others.
(Old joke: The masochist says, "Hurt me." The real sadist says, "No.")

For some pain and/or fighting is really more about the endorphin and adrenaline rush. Although from my experience they're more likely to engage in things like MMA sparring and various extreme sports/activities than S&M.

Now personally i might take a little offense at the assumption that an interest in, or even an obsession with, body modification is synonymous with being a masochist. Silver Mantis' biography doesn't mention anything about an obsession with pain or punishment, her bio only mentions an obsession with modifying and altering her body, but the Devs and support assume the two are equivalent. i know quite enough people who are into each to know that that's not true. Of course there is overlap, but it's far from accurate to say one automatically implies the other.
