Now it might be worth pointing out that the only thing the winners of a CC show is what the judge's preferences are and has little to do with anything else, but considering the critical thinking skills you've demonstrated in the past it would probably be a waste of everyone's time.
So instead i'll just post this:

Well, by the OP's logic, I shouldn't win anything in a CC. Why? Because I'm just not interested in making costumes that revolve around spandex tights. I see nice looking tights on other people, but I tend to prefer robes and armor. I guess I'm fairy tale loving scum, then.

Really? I had a villain called Perky Nipples who got genericed (Ice/Kin Corr) and these 5 not only get to participate in a CC they get to keep their names like that? Wow... just wow.

Meh, my personal observation has been that you MUST use as many parts from the Roman armour as possible, preferably horrible colour combinations, and be completely devoid of a reason for having that look on that character.
