OP threadjacked his own thread? He was just putting out the call...

Yeah, the forums have been screwy in new ways since the maintenance. At least it keeps us from being bored by the same old predictable bugs.

Seriously though, i do appreciate all the work you and everyone else at PS do on our behalf. Also, the far greater grace and tolerance for intractable self-centered posterior headgarments. While i do occasionally have to exercise similar discretion, i would not be able to do it while dealing with as many people as you do.

There isn't. In fact you have to confirm every single item before claiming it by default, although there is the option to disable it.

i made "hide unclaimable rewards" my default option in settings. That eliminates all of the issues the OP experienced. i'm not quite sure why it isn't the default.

    They did.

    Then Freedom launched.
i'm not sure if you still have to hit 20 as a VIP to unlock them now.

  9. For what it's worth, making the same number of pieces for the male and female genders means spending about twice as much time on males since they have two models.

Ignoring that it's technically a handheld console, as a handheld it's even lower powered computationally and graphically than a regular console. This means they'd have to write a whole new client with all new models and textures for every single object and UI element in order to get CoH to run at all. Effectively they would have to assemble another Dev team equal to the one already in place remake the entire game's art assets and engine all over again. For a Sony handheld. And those have such a great record in terms of sales and longevity.

And then they'd have to keep a Vita Dev team on staff just to port all new content over to the Vita platform.

Y'know, i don't see how any of that could be considered an issue. We should start at once!

Anyway, i found the article an interesting read. While it didn't give much additional insight beyond what reading the beta forums gives, it is a nice bit of publicity and handy for those who aren't VIPs and want to know more.

    Just for clarity:
Alpha slot powers work like enhancements slotted in any power that takes an enhancement type that is the same as what the Alpha boosts, so it has no effect on other enhancements, procs, or powers that cannot be slotted with enhancements.

Also, I think it's important to remember who the REAL Living Hellfire is, and where he comes from.

There is only one Legendary Living Hellfire.
Eh, i've gone through three or four names on the forums more or less at random. Not always the most prolific poster, so no particular reason you would remember me.

Anyway, if you can swing it i heartily suggest resubbing for maximum fun. Although depending on what tier you're at it might not be all that essential.

It's pretty silly to think just because it hasn't happened yet it never will.
To my knowledge the game has never had an exact release schedule that it's adhered to. We haven't even had the same number of issues each year. The current updating model has even added the concept of half issues in addition to adding all sorts of content in between official issues. That's why i'm also not seeing the absence of previous March releases as a compelling reason; especially considering the newer model of releasing (sometimes fairly significant) chunks of content between issues.

Still, i suppose many things are possible and at this point only the Devs really know which of the speculated dates is most likely.

i remember you. (With your volume of posts how could i forget?) Not sure how many of the people you used to play with are still around, but Justice itself is usually around third highest load in the server list and has a very active community.

Welcome back. Come play the game and marvel at the new shinies.

By merely stating that they are collector editions they should be available for collection at any time for any one who wants to collect them.
Uh, no, that is not how collectors editions have ever functioned in my experience. In fact the general understanding is that any collectors edition is a limited offering aimed at collectors. Personally i have never heard of collectors editions being marketed as being available in perpetuity. Usually it's very much the opposite.

i have no issues with these items being offered again despite having purchased them when they were first released, but i'm not going to try to justify it by denying existing reality and substituting my own.

    Edit: <snark removed>

Welcome to the game. Yeah, the staged downloading is a fairly new feature, so it's not surprising that a bug popped up in it. It used to be that you had to install and update the entire game to play at all, and with how large it's become adding the staged approach for new installs makes sense.

i hope you enjoy your time in CoH.

    It should stay exclusive.
Eh, as far as i'm concerned selling it in the market would be fine, and that's as someone who also bought the Collector's Edition when it came out. We may have paid extra for the goodies, but it's hardly like putting them on the market would be giving them away for free either.

Someone paying $100 for theirs is rather irrelevant, really. Should all the rest of us who paid less be expected to give PS the difference in the interest of fairness?
