I have been running it for well over a year or so. No problems at all. I have seen others having some issues but I honestly think it has to do with driver installs as well as other conflicts

It runs City of Heroes quite well for me. Even allows full use of punctuation as well. i fully endorse it.

Been using Win7 64-Bit for about 2.5 years now. The only issues I've had have nothing to do with the game itself, but rather, the drivers for my video card not being programmed right, causing the card to overheat. >.<

I'm still waiting for the auto-Caps update.

Not installing in the Default location seems to eliminate most game issues that are software/install related. Beyond that, the OS has a bigger memory footprint so lots of ram is helpful.

Running 64-bit will allow you to access more than 4GB of RAM which is not in of itself.

I have been running Windows 7 64-bit since some of the beta builds and have not had issues with the game on it.

I'm running a pretty vanilla computer with 64 bit win 7 and I haven't had a single problem with City.

I've been running 64-bit Windows for pretty much the entire time I've been playing CoH. It runs it just fine. XP-64 could get finicky at times, but it was a nasty unwanted mutant stepchild of an OS anyhoo. Win7 runs the game just fine.

And while I normally don't recommend turning off security features, turning off UAC (User Account Control) does wonders for the system's friendliness and lack of hassles.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

The only difference between 64 bit and 32 bit is the amount of memory supported :/

Why is that going to change anything?

Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Because the game likes to think it gets the entire 2Gb of memory even if a system only has 1.5Gb allocated to software.
