Quote:Awesome. i knew it was something like that. It's just been so long since i used it that i'd forgotten. It's a +
Try /bind [key] "+$$powexectoggleon ninja run$$powexectoggleon sprint"
What the + does is activate the first power when the button is pressed, and activate the second power when the button is released. If you hit the button fast enough, it won't register. -
Quote:As i recall there's a command/switch to activate a second power after the first if the button is held down for a second. Was it a - in front of one of the commands that does that? Been a while since i needed a bind to activate two powers in a row so i'm not sure if my recall is accurate. They're all powers, regardless of what they do, and they can't activate at the same time.
It has nothing to do with botting or exploits or the devs being sinister anti badge farming. The way powers are activated, they can only be done one at a time. The engine does not distinguish between attack power, travel power, ally buff power, self buff power or any other kind of power. They're all just powers. -

Quote:Well, there will be. The current 50 mag protection will be hard for even a decent amount of holds to get through. At the moment it's probably a better bet to go for outdamaging their regeneration. It may take a few weeks for the change to work its way to live.Yeah, so now there are at least two ways to beat them, having a team with decent damage output, or a team with lower damage output but a decent amount of Holds.
Seems reasonable to me.
Still easier than getting a MoLRSF or MoSTF. -
Quote:While i only see her when i go to Croatoa, which i haven't done much for a while, on the occasions i do go to Croatoa it's much rarer for me to not run into her.
On a related note: i refer to Lusca as a "she" because the Devs have always done so, and also every canon source that has referenced Lusca's gender used the feminine form. -
Some delete all or most of their PMs after reading them.
It's uncommon i imagine, but then there are also people who save every PM or email they've ever received and also log and archive all chats.
i know i fall mostly into the first group. i rarely save emails or PMs and virtually never log chats at all. -

*heh* Well go shine in a LGTF and come back and tell us how easy it is. Since you're insisting that damage spiking alone is enough i'd request you not do it with more than one Dominator and Controller on the team. After all, you've explained how they're not actually needed.
Quote:Are the mitos supposed to die when the nucleus dies as in the raid version? -
Quote:More accurately you mean Dominators, right? The other villain AT's don't offer more than the hero AT's in terms of holds or damage.Pop moar reds? Gaeas?
Also, your problem is you had no Villains.
So you're saying that to be successful a team needs multiple Dominators and/or an accolade that less than 10% of my 50's have? That in my opinion is not good mission design. -
-
Quote:So it's now nearly required to generate 50+ points of hold magnitude from a team of 8 to defeat the green mitos.I fixed the bug which made their power not shut off when held. However, I ALSO fixed the bug which made them perma-hold themselves, so the LGTF will be harder than you remember. Too hard? Perhaps -- the Green Mitos have 50 points of hold protection (as opposed to -50...) now.
EDIT: The design intent for Green Mitos is you essentially HAVE to hold them or they are nigh unkillable. That does limit viable team compositions a bit.
...
Regarding the Abandon Mission button: The greatest use i've found for it currently is refreshing the mission list for paper/scanner missions without having to leave and reenter the zone. This makes me happy since i usually avoid escort missions and seek CoT/Carny missions.
Edit: It would appear that the LGTF working correctly is raising questions as to whether that's really what should be intended.Having a single enemy/mission immediately before the last mission functioning as an impassable obstacle for most team compositions can lead to frustration.

Quote:True. The Hami raids i occasionally attend are normally held on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Sometimes there are unscheduled raids announced, but those seem to be on hold for now.Not particularly minor for the graphics card fix.
This is the patch I personally have been crying out for since i17 release, and as I mentioned before I know of 43 people suffering from this myself in game and on the forums combined.
Its stopped a whole bunch of people from cancelling there subs.
Also waiting one day to be able to do Hami isnt really a long waiting period... particularly since its midweek and most Hami raids happen at the weekend anyway.
Edit: i plan to try out the blueside Kahn TF tomorrow if anyone else would be interested in running it. Just to be absolutely certain the fix is working properly. -
Quote:That was my guess as well, but hope springs eternal. If i had $1 for every post i've seen in this section where someone said a fix on the test server didn't work because they just experienced the issue on live i'd probably be able to afford a new car.I was basing the assumption that it was on Live on this post by that user and the follow-up post they made after being informed of the fix on the Test Server seemed to indicate that this was on Live.
But one can never be certan, which is why I asked for clarification.
So, updated the client but got a message on login that all characters on the training room should be recopied from live because of some database work being done on test. So, it'll be a bit before i'm ready to try Kahn. Maybe tomorrow if anyone else is interested.
Also, the Beta Testers channel was gone from my list. i'm guessing the channel is still the main one for testers, but now i know for a fact that the channel kick timer now works. -
Quote:i'd like to think it was the test server despite the implication that the fix didn't work since it would at least confirm whether or not the fix works, but based on similar posts in the past it could very easily have been on live that they were disappointed to not see a fix that's currently only on test.Ran a Kahn last night and still ran into the bug. We whacked him with the Rays and couldn't dent the guy for more than a few HPs per attack.
Running the updater now.
Maybe i'll be able to find a team to test this. -
Quote:Cue BABs to run screaming into the night.Every time the topic comes up internally, I bring up the Blood of the Black Stream. I like the concept, I like the backstory, I like the powers...no one seems to like the amount of TIME they'd take, though. Coralax are totally 'meh' to me...unless we ever get that Underwater Zone that's been talked about.
Well, except that he's got lackeys now that he could delegate to do the work. -
Quote:Eh, i get a lot more tells something like that with no punctuation at all.Over the past 3 days I have received 5 "need team?" tells from different people. Three times the senders meant, "I have a team, would you like to join it?". Twice the senders meant, "I see you're running solo, can I join so we can be a team?".
Just wondering whether the tell typically has one meaning or the other, or whether it is always ambiguous (in which case, isn't it kind of a worthless tell?).
"team"
"want team"
"need team"
"join"
"u team"
"room on team"
"join team"
"can join"
Then there are the ones with no punctuation and so badly spelled that sometimes i'm not entirely sure what the person is trying to say, but at least one of the misspelled words seems somewhat group activity related. Maybe. -
Quote:Don't take Speed Boost if you don't want to. It's a very nice buff, but after playing FF, Cold and Thermal i sympathize with not wanting to take it just because of the people who constantly beg for it. Even worse are those who spam "SB PLZ!!!" when they already have it on them. Of course i'd suggest letting people know up front that you don't have it when joining a team since most players think it's required. On my buffers i usually have a bind/macro that announces that i'm tossing out buffs and anyone not easily accessible will have to wait for the next cycle. So the question is, how many people would it piss off? I mostly won't take it in my final build, just wanting to get the general idea of what others think.
Personally i never beg for Speed Boost on any of my alts. If the Kin tosses it on me it's awesome and if they don't i continue playing just like the rest of the time when i'm not teamed with a Speed Boost dispensing teammate.
Now for my question: Schrodinger's Cat? Alive/Dead -
Quote:Yep. The rumors were that the construction in Steel, and the similar construction in Port Oakes, would be launch facilities for going to the hypothetical outer space zone/moonbase. The Port Oakes one is even labeled Launch Site with a rocket as the icon on the map that came in the Architect Edition, but the Steel Canyon area is just labeled City Rebuilding. A recent Dev comment seems to indicate that it's since been scrapped/canceled/put on indefinite hold. Still, i don't think they'd just stick a building at the Steel Canyon site. More likely is that it would open up a gate to the new area shown on the map if the Devs do anything at all with it.The idea makes me wonder about the construction site in Steel Canyon that was at one point rumored to be the launchpad for the moon base. That thing's been there for quite a while now with no actual hints to it's purpose. Maybe it will be the gateway to Praetoria. It would make sense to have that in PI for story reasons, but, at the same time it seems like a bad idea from a mechanic standpoint since you would be fairly low when you leave. Steel Canyon, being a teens zone seems like the perfect spot for that portal. Not to mention the size of the framework that is there seems perfect for a single portal building.

*heh* So "devpet" is your preferred equivalent to fanboi i take it. A term used to automatically dismiss and deride anyone who doesn't agree with your constant negativity and contempt for the Devs.
i have to wonder why you continue subscribing to this game the way you constantly state your contempt for those running it. From what i've seen of your posts in this thread and similar threads regarding the Devs' approach to balancing the game i don't see how any characters could survive combat with a single even con minion at this point if the Devs were as incompetent and nerf hungry as you constantly assert.
i certainly can't believe the Dev team your posts seem to describe could add any functional new sets or powers to the game. They certainly wouldn't put in something like IO's unless they added character-wide penalties for slotting them.
If the Devs are so stupid, vindictive and incompetent, and everything's being nerfed into uselessness, why are you even bothering to post? They'll just nerf shields into uselessness anyway, just like they recently did to DP with i17's changes. After all, they're too incompetent and out of touch to do otherwise, right?
i hardly think the Devs can do no wrong, but i actually think they can (and do) get things right on occasion as well. My expectation is that sometime in the near future Shield Charge will be nerfed and FA buffed. i don't think either will be that extreme, but i will reserve judgment until i have more information. Probably because i'm some sort of devpet and fanboi who thinks the Devs can occasionally do something right. -
Something that i am still curious about is what damage type(s) will Kinetic Melee use? As i recall it was referred to as "Telekinetic Melee" at least once during the presentation. Also, one of the most popular sets a couple years back when the players were polled as to what new sets they'd like to see was a Psychic Melee/Psychic Blades set. It seems quite possible that Kinetic Melee will use a mix of Smashing and Psy damage.

Quote:That would be great.Same here! My Repo Shadowcast (Zaddicts) and I were planning to do a parody video of Lady Gaga, because no one really liked her.
Then someone pulled up a music video of hers as a joke and for ideas.
Then they pulled up another.
And another...
About two hours later, we changed it from "parody" to "homage". I'll post it later, should anyone want. The videos are fun, but the songs alone get tiresome very quickly.

Quote:My guess would be her civilian identity is a brunette employed at a chain bookstore who is very knowledgeable, quick-witted and insightful.I think the better question is likely what is Lady Ga Ga's secret identity? I mean, she's clearly in costume, which would kind of infer she's in patrol mode.
Thus her costumed "Lady Gaga" persona is somewhere between a vacuous, drugged-out club girl and a brain-damaged poodle who sings songs with shallow, trite lyrics over fairly generic dance pop in order to confound her enemies. The Madonna crossed with Marilyn Manson career stylings are intriguing. (Gotta admit, her videos are catchy and flashy, and are entertaining to watch, even if R&B singers were making videos using similar visual aesthetics albout a decade ago, and goth/industrial/fetish artists had done it well before that.)
i'd go with a Sonic/Rad Corruptor or a Mind/Sonic Controller for her AT/powersets. -

*head pops up from below the cliff edge and looks around*
Oh. Oops.
*ducks back out of sight*
