The Rep used to offer both if you were 30+. i have a few alts who never did the cape mission and only did the aura mission because they weren't going to use a cape. Of course this was before new mission was added.

Yes, i am aware of what Fury was like back in CoV beta, but it's been reworked and improved since then. In fact, the version of Fury that went live in CoV was already quite different from the early beta version that originally lead to Ice sets being dropped for Brutes IIRC. Of course at that point the powersets were pretty much set in stone then and for some time after.

Disagree. That logic's also an argument against allowing Brutes to have Dark Armor. Oppressive Gloom doesn't just slow attack rates, it completely stops them for minions around the Brute. And yet Brutes with Dark Armor build Fury just fine against minions.

Okay, i can understand that Illusion Control doesn't work well with Domination, but conceptually speaking Illusions are used by villains more than heroes. The problem would be that Illusion relies so heavily on pets and pseudo-pets.

Ice Armor for Brutes doesn't have the Fury issues it had in early CoV beta, so i don't see how it would be worse for Brutes than Stone or Dark Armor. Certainly there's no conceptual reason.

Fairly common to play no music at all.
Over the weekend it was mostly a medley of The Retrosic, Suicide Commando, Rotersand and similar artists.
It really varies. Sometimes i throw together a playlist that reflects the character i'm playing.
i have several characters that i've selected theme songs for and will tend to queue those up when i log in that character.

Pretty much, except that there are few little dead end rooms that have a one in a thousand chance of having a hostage appear.

OTOH i haven't read every thread you've posted in. Maybe you were a horrible bully and i missed it, but that would be inconsistent with your posts that i have read.

Edit: Without moderator powers or stalking it's sort of difficult to bully in online forums. Bless their little hearts, a few of the regulars in the PvP sections make an effort at it, but even those are generally fail.

i think the server being down is another symptom of the issues on the North American servers that prompted another maintenance only a few days after the last (very extended) one. An outbreak of myxomatosis among the NA server hamsters perhaps. This time they'll remember to sterilize the cages after euthanizing the old hamsters before they put new ones in.

i stopped playing a couple hours ago because the server latencies were getting a bit too aggravating. Playing a low level Dark Armor Tanker does not mix well with inconsistent power response times.

So yeah, there's been some issues with the NA servers that are apparently still being worked on.

You can fill in missing aspects of most powersets by clever IO slotting. i think. i'm not really sure in this case since i don't know exactly what you mean by "missing aspect of powersets", but IOs and set bonuses can be used to compensate for many "weaknesses" in most sets.

My Spines/Elec Scrapper has 16 points of knockback protection when flying through the use of IOs. Flying was part of the character concept despite Electric Armor needing to be on the ground for in-set KB protection. There's lots of ways to further improve characters through IOs after hitting 50.

Of course the Incarnate system coming in Issue 19 will also add ways to give 50s new abilities.

And the wikia ads occasionally contain malware. Paragonwiki.com OTOH just contains awesome. The Titan Network is a wonderful thing.

To be fair, back then much of the combat was too fast and easy.
Now it's a bit more of a challenge, but it's still pretty fast and easy.
Even better, we now have the tools to make it easier or harder depending on each player's preferences. This combined with super-sidekicking is a large part of what keeps me in the game. The avatar customization and other players is most of the rest.

*heh* Hyperbole and the fact that Silverado is usually fairly knowledgeable. The fact that people outside the US have greater and more frequent issues with credit cards doesn't change the that i've seen posts about people in other countries using credit cards to pay for the game for 6+ years now. The fact that people have been posting about issues with their credit cards in both the US and other countries for years now with no official announcement ever made regarding time cards being a requirement for non-US players is also an indication that credit cards can be used outside the US.

And unless we come up with something really spectacular in fairly short order i have a feeling that destruction of the planet isn't a worry at all. Severe damage to the biosphere is possible, but more severe events than anything humanity is currently capable of have happened to the biosphere in the past. Still, like your part 2, i was just using humorous exaggeration. i didn't think anyone would take it seriously. i tend to misjudge things like that, it's true. My shame will now flare like a thermonuclear explosion and annihilate the Eastern seaboard of North America. Greenland will weep bitter tears as the tidal and blast waves plunge it beneath the sea. (No, not really.)*
