Ok a useful enough starting point but the testosterone level's gone up a bit. I've gotten a bit confused about the function of the " within a bind and macro - what do they do and where should they go?
And never mind the off side rule, if you know the LBW law THEN you... Oh, wait... I know the LBW law -

I've a comic maker for my SG, I'll be happy to host them on your website.

Show me what you got m8
Oh and your sig's a bit borked... not just the code but I pulled it from the site -
ok the site will be free to all viewers.
I will be looking at advertising to cover costs etc at a later date but I have to meet a number of challenges in order to get a marketable site up and doing first. Will you receive any of that revenue? Almost certainly not if you're providing a page a week... but you WILL be getting seen by the great and the good of the comic book word. (NO I'm not naming names at this stage but trust me)
However if I commission you to do something extraordinarily very special there may be a small stipend in it for you - IF the site is paying its way
I did have an enquiry about copyright which I'll respond to here to pre-empt any further questions:

I'm not here to steal anyone's material so obviously contributors retain creative rights over their work (tho the site and content generally is clearly my copyright.) Any external copyright (for example CoX, Paragon City etc etc) remains the copyrightof the respected owners too. So the long and short of that is if you decide to contribute, you get to keep control over your characters and creations
[/ QUOTE ]
Bottom line it's a fan site and will be run by fans for fans and creators.
And if you have other skilz in webtype stuff, let me know -

hehe good can take the recharges out then

I slot my Fly Trap 2x Acc, 2x Dmg 2x -Def
If I was gonna change that I'd swap out a -Def for an immob I think -
[ QUOTE ]
Just a quick question, ive got a baby plant/thorns and was wondering if its worth slotting pre IO set for defdebuff on any of the attacks, i was thinking holding, then jumping in for thorn burst for the -def??
[/ QUOTE ]
I use a lot of -Def and it works. I'm light on damage at present but I'm getting more slots now so that's enabling me to build up. But once held opponents are pretty well stuck and my pet will also much them quite happily especially with the -Def components we have -

Gratz on being the first person to understand the reference, used that bind so many times and sat in wait of someone to get it!!

Well your wait is over!I reckon if they made Thief as an MMO it would ROCK!!!!
I wanna be....
a Hammerite! -
Ok people
If you have a web comic, I want to host it! I am about to go live with an exciting and innovative comic book web site - and one of the things we'll be featuring is exclusive web comics (possibly 2 or 3 even)
So if you are interested in having your work showcased, I want to see it.
I'm not going to say too much about the site at this stage, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh it's a secret but we have some genuinely exciting stuff in the pipeline and you can be part of it!
If you're interested PM me here and I'll message you back! -

J'Adore la Spirit Tree!!! Saved my skin sooo many times I won't let anyone speak bad of it...well I will but just disagree with a grunt. Like I say its saved my skin so many times, just planting it down and letting the enemy come onto me then spanking them (love my plant dom for doing this against the CoT's).
I didn't really find any probs with my plant dom in the late teens altho she's just entered the early 20's. My Ice/Psi on the other hand is a pain in the butt...level 21 being the worse...death after death!
Reason: No spirit tree!!!
So lets all gather round the spirit tree and sing a song of the woodsy lord and the forest folk.
[/ QUOTE ]
With you all the way and gratz on giving my 2nd favourite game a huge mention -
Just a postscript to this, I got my pet last ngiht and I'm really enjoying the toon now, and have done for a while. Getting past those shaky late teens/early twenties made all the difference and now with a bit of judicial thought I seem able to take on pretty big mobs of yellow and orange.
I'm having lots of fun - thanks to all for the advice.
One thing I have found tho is the Spirit Tree works really well for me and I'm surprised people have made negative comments about it -

well as you mentioned they are usefull for the teleporters
also having an autodoc and salavge vault means u can store any salvage worth lots and sell any rubbish salvage/recipies at the auto-doc for the same price as the shop, then click the base portal again and it'll put you out where you came in (really usefull for farming, better than lots of running)
if you was to have a hospital and was in a zone like the shadow shard, or a villian zone without a hosp or teleport beacon, and you die, you can go to base hospital, click on the portal, and you'll come back out where you died... saves lots of times
the empowerment buffs from their are good to play around with, the work tables to make all you're handy IOs
eventually an item of power which will "apparently" give your SG members a buff if it ever comes into play
as you already mentioned its useful for storage
my SG has over 200 of each halloween costumes which is brilliant for when ur making new chars
altho very usefull, i think the bases could be improved with more benifits
[/ QUOTE ]
sell stuff at the autodoc? How? -
We've all done it but listen to the advice of others. This game is all about the journey, not the destination. You'll find out quick enough that at 50 there's only so much content. Take your time, learn the game, learn the zones (they all have their unique aspects) and enjoy the game for what it is. Believe me, you're not gonna have MORE fun at 50 than you will at 25. You can have a great giggle at level 10 with Frostfire and a superlative struggle in Striga at 21.
Enjoy the game for itself not for what you think it should be -
Info sent and thanks for the kind suggestion

Personally i feel they should introduce a 2nd Build to every toon. Give them a PvP Spec build and a PvE Spec build that would solve most problems but would also cost alot more to the players in a IO sense.
[/ QUOTE ]
I like this idea but I think it might be difficult to manage. -
First off let me position myself that that you get where I'm coming from.
I really enjoy casual PVP. I love zones, I love Arenas. Teams and Solo.
I love PVE. I love the game's content and even after 2 years I still take immense pleasure from all aspects of this game.
But, there seems to be a fundamental incompatibility between the casual, and the dedicated PVPer.It seems that to be successful in one aspect of this game, PVE or PVP, you have to build your character to fit, and thus put yourself at a severe disadvantage in other aspects. This seems especially true in PVP where some powersets are considered to be a definite "no no" - the best example of this might be travel powers - and I've been laughed at for having fly & hover, yet they suit my character from a style and RP perspective. To have to spec them out would fundamentally alter my character but without Superspeed and Combat Jumping I seem to be at a serious PVP disadvantage.
That's one example, and there are others... some more ridiculous than others. Scarlet's an elec/elec/elec blaster and people complain because of holds and end drain. Hello!? It's what she does!
Slotting becomes increasingly vital with the right IOs making the difference and costing fortunes wheras the old days a 3/2/1 SO combo would work perfectly in PVE. (Arguably still does.)
Is there a place for the all rounder, the person who tries to put a boot in both camps or has it become an either/or thing? My experience with FNFC and similar events seem to think it's the case. I can stand my ground against most non-dedicated PVPers but then along come the guys known for PVP and smack the rotund female has an aria in full swing.
I guess it's possible that I am in that odd place - better than most butnot good enough to be a dedicated PVPer, and frankly even if I were that arrogant to admit it I honestly don't feel that good.
Thoughts my friends? -
[ QUOTE ]
They are nice right now, my opinion may change along with this 'update'. After this practical unresistable attacks will be pretty much exclusive to villains then. Is everybody ok with that?
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope -
really nice and imaginitive base
-
I think those who decry the blaster post I11 forget that was the original concept of the toon. The blaster isn't overpowering in PVP, certainly not in the Arena and in teams there's plenty of compensation.
-
There's some really good info there people thankyou, especially Mighty. I did get a run out last night with her and I got over the lvl 20 bugbear.
As for spirit tree /em Homer I like my spirit tree, I liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike it
but I guess I could respec it out.
I have a freespec on her so I'll go play with Mids -
Guys
I've got a plant/thorns dom that started really well but at lvl 19 is just too damned squishy for words. I can't get anywhere with her.
Any words of advice would be gratefully received please -
I can't speak for the figures so I don't want to go there but I guess it depends on the reason behind the question - one important thing to consider is the secondary effects of these powers and Elec will give significant -end drain too
So if it's purely about damage my experience would say Energy has the edge but if it's about the usefulness of the set, I'd give Electric the edge.
But hey that's the beauty of this game, you might get a different experience -
[ QUOTE ]
Well, yeah - I guess finding a grail or destroying a ring is more important
[/ QUOTE ]
depends on who's ring -
Firstly, excellent work and a worthy winner
Secondly, yay for return of CG, it's been missed! -
I guess we can have a philosophical argument but at the end of the day it's down to NCSoft and frankly in their shoes I'd tend to take your point of view...
-
But in this instance there are two clearly independant properties, DC & Charlton's version of Liberty Belle, based on an historical artifact that is embedded in American folklore. Therefore I would argue that very folklore makes the name Liberty Belle "open source"
