Never said /energy didn't had smashing, but its quite less compared to /elec, and it's really noticeable when playing both
NRG has powerboost, nuf said
Powerboosted holds, powerboosted stuns, powerboosted aid self, powerboosted traveling, powerboosted draining.
So yeah, elec has more dmg, nrg has powerboost

I can't speak for the figures so I don't want to go there but I guess it depends on the reason behind the question - one important thing to consider is the secondary effects of these powers and Elec will give significant -end drain too
So if it's purely about damage my experience would say Energy has the edge but if it's about the usefulness of the set, I'd give Electric the edge.
But hey that's the beauty of this game, you might get a different experience

wait so electric is more resisted than energy... well last time i checked elec and nrg both do nrg damaga and nrg has more smashin damage in it that elec.
plus the first nrg attack is for knockback, and elec doesn't have much nockback does it??
plus nrg has all the benefits of stuff like power boost, boost range etc wereas elec is a bit less buff based and more attack damage based.
I'd say that Thunderstrike is all the knockback you need in one set. Elec has its fill

Actually no, /nrg has a more dmg and is less resisted than /elec. /nrg is based on buffs and /elec on mez (you can get end drain, stun, hold and immob out of it), but /nrg stuns with almost each secondary attack so...
But elec has powersink, very wonderful power after a nuke They are well matched to eachother, at least way more compared to the other secondairies.
And offcourse the looks are important, if you dont like the red pompom balls..

/Elec means that you will get Thunderstrike before lvl 30 making for Sirens Call fun...

Yeah, I used to love /elec blasters in sirens when I still played my stalkie... they were such easy kills when they used thunderstrike

Yeah you just put what I said, that /elec has a bigger smashing component than /nrg... but now we are not dealing with dmg, but with how thunderstrike makes an /elec blaster an easy kill to stalkers... so try and keep up.. sheesh
