To go of topic slightly (sorry) is it not now more expensive to play on the US servers what with the rather [censored] exchange rate? I would imagin any booster pack is also more expensive as well?
[/ QUOTE ]
Not really. The Mac pack is 19.99 USD, while EU i believe its 15.99 Euro. My convert rate for the US mac was 13,52.
So saves me like 2 euro.
[/ QUOTE ]
except you have to pay tax for the Us version as well, so there goes those 2 euro. -
Depends really. It's much quicker now than 4 years ago.
When Issue 13 hit i think it took me around a month to get my sword/shield scrapper to 50, and i took my sweet time doing taskforces i got no xp on, i never went solo, i waited for teams and so on. Never got powerlevelled, tho i did do some task forces being sidekicked up some. Like ITF. -
[ QUOTE ]
Other than that the booster pack will probably only cost £5.99, of course. Wait a few weeks, save some money.
[/ QUOTE ]
Get a free month with the pack out now tho. Which at it's current price is pretty much a month of gametime anyway.
Buy it now, get a free month and the goodies (as well as the option to play on a mac should you ever want to).
Instead of waiting two whole months, pay a fee and get no free gametime.
Seems like win-win imo. -
I think you're gonna have some endurance issues without stamina
, my own TA/A Defender has taken stamina and she runs out of end still :| Specially seeing as you run two toggles more then she is plus having hasten which i don't
I also think Entangling arrow is kinda useless, glue arrow does as good of a job imo with some slow enhances init. Almost stops em dead. Plus it's aoe compared to engalings arrow single target.
EMP arrow is ace imo. Locks target down for quite a long time. It's a nice when "sh*t hits the fan power". Can reallt turn the tide by stopping alot of incoming damage, it can also hold bosses in one shot. -
Hmm, favorite.
Ghost Widow i like alot for her deviousness. I like Minx for obvious reasons. And i quite fancy Silver Mantis, for other obviosu reasons (pain so close to pleasure ^^). Mirror Spirit is also a fave for her appearance only.
Least favorite. Lord Recluse. Too stereotype, same with Statesman really. -
No, they patch the updater every now and then as well.

I think i got mine from doing one manticore TF on rugged diff

Made a char to see for myself, and when you pick the powers, it does not list natural as a origin for black wand. As you can see in this pic
However after using it on a natural origin it does actually give the damage bonus. -
[ QUOTE ]
Magic, Mutation and Natural get a bonus from the Blackwand.
Tech, Science and Natural get bonus from the Nemesis staff.
The reason for the second one not granting a bonus is that it would give Natural characters an advantage over other origins.
[/ QUOTE ]
Naturals get no bonus from blackwand. -
I have fiddled with it
To no avail tho :|, no diffrence with 1,2,3 or 4. except i go nuts trying to scroll in internet explorer at setting 1 and 2 -
the helms are from preordering. which is kinda late to do now
collectors of CoV as far as i can remember only gives the cape. I own the collectors of CoV as well, and i only have the cape. No destined one badge either, so it seems you got the "wrong" collectors edition. -
I'd like to nominate DrDenstiny for December for his X-Mas drawings

I can't get the wheel on my mouse to scroll( aka zoom in and out) either. holding it down works for moving camera tho, scrolling no workie.
Scrolling works in all others games tho and windows (except steam).
Edit: it's a Microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000.
also tried with the specific drivers and with the default vista ones, neither work. -
Weston Phipps give some missions with freakshow in em.
-
Grr...
Still tho, the procs are there for the set bonuses. Hopefully they get fixed sometime, like by the time i actually get this one to 50 and have enough inf to get the sets. hehe. -
That does look pretty cool
The only downside with it so far is that while the city scape looks great faded away like that, parts of the character is faded away as well. Mostly his boot, some of his hand and top of head. If it would be possible to cut the character out, place it in it's own layer, then fade out background. then put char in and do a lesser fade on him. -
Time for shield char number two
This time a brute, Electrical Melee and Shield Defense. Mostly casue i giggle at the outlook of lots of fury + build up + against all odds dmg buff + lightning rod + shield charge.
Was just goofing around some with mids and came up with this build, designed to raise my defenses some more. Was a litte harder this time compared to my Sword/shield scrapper where i didn't have to worry about melee defense. But i did manage to get all three positional over 45% which is the soft cap no?
My only worry is that being a brute, i don't wanna slow down much, which makes me wonder if i have too much end drain on that build atm. Thats all speculation tho, cause it'll be years and years before i could afford the build anyway

Well, their vacation is over, hopefully we'll see a patch "soon" (tm).
-
They seem to lost some of their imagination for vet rewards around month 39 or so.
Assemble the Team at 42. Ok useful, i use it when it's up usually, but not very creative tbh
45 big empty vacuum. fourth respec, not bad i spose, money saver if nothing else, still, not used more than 3 respecs on any of my chars
48 Ok the buff pets were creative, albeit lacking in implementation. If anyone manage to keep theirs alive for an entire mission, kudos to you and please share how you did it, they pull aggro like no tomorrow!
51. CoV preorder helmet bonus. Something that been asked for, and yea it's cool we do get them... eventually! We get the CoH preder reward a whole three and a half year earlierAlso not very creative imo. Also kinda lack-luster now that the VEATs are out which do offer those pieces already for the special veat cossie.
54. Another attack power. Ok, i'm not complaining really, another attack will make lowbie levels easier. But reusing the four we got previous? really lacking creativity. Specially since two of the powers (Black Wand and Nemesis Staff) base their damage on your origin. Would much rather have seen something new, like a rikti rifle, nemesis rifle, etc etc instead.
As for ideas what to put in future rewards? I'd like to see more utility powers, like a self teleport to RWZ or Cimerora. A permanent version of the WW/BM Teleporter which don't require you to logout there.
I wanna see more costume pieces. They stopped after 30 months (ok boxing at 39 and helms at 51, but those are kinda meh). I kinda of guess they wanna keep going with the themed packs they do now and then, but something minor like some new patterns or just some new glasses etc would be nice. Not having to have a theme to em.
Can't say i'm holding my breath for what 57 months and 60 motnhs (omg 5 years) will be. Tho i do home that the 5 year rewards will be something extravagant and flashy we can show off to other players! -
He taken hasten tho, thats like two SOs in when it's up.
-
Active Defense only needs two recharge redux to make it perma. And thats without hasten
I'd also put healing enhances over endmod in one with the shield. Would also put one end reducer in each attack, cause end will be your primary concern. -
I would also get active defense at 10, cause 22 levels without status proection will suck
-
Happy New Years! all ya CoX'ers!
edit: wrote birthday instead of new years O.o Guess i've been drinkign too much already... -

This is what I'm going for. It's de-lovely!

Aye, but it's almost twice as expensive as the 260. and It doesn't seem it's twice as fast :|
