Scroll Wheel/Middle Mouse doesn't work

I've looked around the net a bit, but can't find a reason or solution for the titled problem.
I recently bought a Razer Diamondback 3G mouse and it's been absolutely fine with every other programme on my PC, however CoX just doesn't seem to recognise my middle mouse button, I can't scroll with it or click it, it just does nothing.
This also applies to the launcher, I can't scroll on that either.
Not sure if anyone else using this mouse has the same problems or maybe I just have a duff mouse?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

in game the scroll button has a limited function. If you hold it down it should allow you to move the camera. Check in your controls to make sure it's selected.

Nope, holding it down doesn't move the camera, scrolling up and down doesn't change the zoom. I can't change it in the keybindings, the game just doesn't seem to recognise it even exists.

I certainly don't think its an issue with the mouse as I have always had exactly the same issue with my mouse and OS.

It worked fine with this mouse and XP but after upgrading to Vista I lost mousewheel functions for my MS Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 2.

Driver issue was all I heard by way of explanation and have unfortunately never got it solved.

I can't get the wheel on my mouse to scroll( aka zoom in and out) either. holding it down works for moving camera tho, scrolling no workie.

Scrolling works in all others games tho and windows (except steam).

Edit: it's a Microsoft wireless laser mouse 6000.
also tried with the specific drivers and with the default vista ones, neither work.

I know that this is quite obvious but nevertheless I am goona say it. There is a option for mouse scroll speed (I think it is under the first tab in the option menu). Sometimes it is set to 1 (the minimum setting). Try adjusting that Sapphic.

The middle button should work regardless of this setting so I don't think that is the pbroblem in your case Morria. Try contacting support.

To no avail tho :|, no diffrence with 1,2,3 or 4. except i go nuts trying to scroll in internet explorer at setting 1 and 2

The middle button is mbutton.

Try this:

/bind mbutton "/t $name, Middle Button works."

And press the middle button, if nothing happens (eg no tell from yourself) then the game isn't reading the middle button. Check that it works in windows if not its a hardware fault. If it does try another mouse, if that works its most likely a driver issue.

Not sure how the wheel bind works as by standard is this:

MOUSEWHEEL "+camdistadjust"

But you could try the above bind anyway.
