Sapphic Shock [Elec/Shield]
[ QUOTE ]
lots of fury + build up + against all odds dmg buff + lightning rod + shield charge.
[/ QUOTE ]Some of that might probably go to waste, because Lightning Rod (and Shield Charge, probably?) use the pet damage cap, which is 400% (100% base + 300% damage buff) if I recall correctly.
Also, that Chance for Smashing Damage proc in Lightning Rod will damage you when it procs. Not sure if it'll also damage the enemies.
That Touch of Death proc in Chain Induction will horribly break the jumping charge (procs in CI replace the high jump chance with whatever the proc chance of the proc is for some bugged reason).
Just noting such things, that's all.
hmm not sure about the end drain, probs not gonna be worse than the end brutes usually have... since 0.86 end/s isnt that much..
Suggested tweaked build, drops maneuvers and tactics, still retains capped defences, and slightly larger global recharge.

Heeheehee! 'Sapphic Shock'. It just looks like 'Lesbian Shock' to me, which then lead to the bank robbery vision of:
"Oh my God, it's a lesbian!"
"Check again! We're not set up to handle lesbians!"
"She's right there, and totally homosexual! What are we going to do!?"
"Open fire and hope she's bi-curious!"
I got somewhat bored of my Electric Melee Brute at around level 22 or so, because I noticed that she'd pretty much achieved her rest of the game attack chain already. It left me with not much desire to bother going on.

Now if i could only get the 500+ mil it'll cost!
From a leveling point of view, I would would swap AAO to level 12, Battle Agility to 22, and PF to 24.
I really should do something about this signature.

AAO doesn't open up until 16, doesn't it?
Besides the character is lvl 23 atm, so anything below that is kinda moot to change now Might consider it from a respec standpoint later, but meh...
Ah, quite right.
I'm just going off my experience, where BA was to expensive to keep up pre Stamina and SOs, and found that relying on the res and +hp for suvival was more effective.
But I would try to pick up AAO as soon as it becomes avaliable, not just for the +dmg, but as an aggro magnet.
I guess you have them now though...
Addendum: I think I would try to pick up Aid Self long before level 47. Maybe AaO at 22, Aid Other at 24, Aid Self at 26.
I really should do something about this signature.
Alright... level 37 now (<3 DXP).
Lightning Rod and Shield charge are both slotted with 2x acc, 3xdmg and 1x recharge SOs. Not gotten any IOs at all yet. But i still managed to wet myself when i used em both at full fury.
I two-shotted +2 LTs and one shotted +2 minions. Bosses were left with a small chunk of health left. It's really brutal, it's like unleashing a 9th tier blaster nuke every minute without any of the drawbacks. I'm loving it
The only thing i have trouble with atm is my defenses. I have around 25% defense, so i'm very squishy. But with some support i managed to stay alive
Have you got TG slotted for +hp yet?
I really should do something about this signature.
Around 95+% enhancement in True Grit, and the three +maxHP accolades... It adds up.
TG is the key power for low level suvivability on Scrappers/Brutes, that's why it was moved during I13 beta.
I really should do something about this signature.

True Grit? Just one healing SO in it so far.
Just felt it doesn't really do much tbh so not bothered much with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Rar I was just about to comment on the same thing. I have recently made one and was looking for a decent build to bounce of , which yours is, I looked at the +hp bonuses you've through the use of 1 slot (1.88%) and then checked True Grit that'll give 4.2%. This is good cos:
So far I took out Chain Induction for Taunt because I don't get that much use out of CI (by the time those ticks start to go about the mob is dead). This I think meant 3% less hp but clearly I'll soon gain it back and have more of something else. I gonna have to re jig the power order.
Knocked out Havoc for Hasten to have Shield Charge + Lightning Rod up circa every 30 secs. Changed Hurdle for Electrifying Fences to prevent KB I think. -KB them, Charge them and Lightning Rod them without scatter, I hope.

LR or SD does knock down unless they are much lower lvl than you so no need for knockback protect on the nme really even though it is still a nice dot from the cages.
I picked soul patron instead as the -tohit from darkest night and the aoe dark blast really helps.
i start a fight like this
darkest night
dark oblitaration
build up
Light rod
Shield charge
thunder strike.
Most are dead by then anyway if not the way im slotted does not take long for the combo to charge again.
Also i did have aid self to lvl up with but dont find a use for it now tbh so i got tough and weave instead also dropped jacobs ladder too as just dont need it in my attack chain at all.
Didnt ever pick taunt as i find against all odds works fine as a aggro power(great for herding)
I dont really need 1 with the sheild but it does come in handy for them rare occasions i suppose.
I also have a ss/wp brute and i actully find i can do the same farm mission 6 mins quicker with the elec/shield as he over all just does more damage to them and is even easier to survive with, but he is well slotted and has 40% def ish to all positions.
I never run out of stamina even with all them toggles running where i find stamina a real pain on my ss/wp with all the rage crashes hasten etc.
Just my opinion
Will post my build sometime but its not quite finished yet as im kinda just slotting as i go at the mo.
Damn secrets out I only play versus -1s and 2s!! Nah I got the idea of LR being KB from memory. Somewhere I've seen mobs go back and it stuck in my mind. I should of checked the figures but it can still do -KB as other people could use KB. Mu was for concept, its elec, as I know I'd find utility in Mace -fly...and taunt stays..taunt, aid self, -fly. I'll swap it for Mace Mastery's Web Envelope so I can start aiming to have the flexibility of not caring if we have a single corrupter in the team or not. I am not bothered with Brutes not having it but I will have it. I can't see myself with OWS come 60 months vet an all. Your build did 40% positional with weave? My plan does it without and tough is just S and L.

Hehehe gotta share something which happened when i teamed once.
Joined a team and there was a brute on it who just said "lol elec melee" so i hit build up + lightning rod + shield charge obliterating two spawns at once leaving only bosses up and i said "lol SS/WP". then he quit the team
ps.
i take donations, f'in recepeies are way more spendy on villains than heroes ><
Time for shield char number two
This time a brute, Electrical Melee and Shield Defense. Mostly casue i giggle at the outlook of lots of fury + build up + against all odds dmg buff + lightning rod + shield charge.
Was just goofing around some with mids and came up with this build, designed to raise my defenses some more. Was a litte harder this time compared to my Sword/shield scrapper where i didn't have to worry about melee defense. But i did manage to get all three positional over 45% which is the soft cap no?
My only worry is that being a brute, i don't wanna slow down much, which makes me wonder if i have too much end drain on that build atm. Thats all speculation tho, cause it'll be years and years before i could afford the build anyway
