Quote:Silly Mauk, that's why I said there isn't much that can solo a buffed LR.No lie!
I've seen a few stone/x tanks do it pretty reliably with monster builds + rooted, and just out-heal his damage.
I've seen one truly monster inv/dm tank just pound him, but I think even that guy had to eat oranges and greens a couple of times.
But even the monster stoners can get cascade failures and faceplant before you can blink, so it's never a for sure thing.
The most reliable is a tanker and a healer, and the healer just rocks the heal like crazy. Even then it can be touch and go sometimes.
See, that encounter is one of the reasons why I chuckle at the folks who say tanks can always be replaced by brutes/scrappers: It just ain't so.
Most of the time, yes. Not always.
And frankly, the unlimited stacking of buffs is a far larger issue, anyway. You stack up sonic/force/ice buffs and a level six kitten can tank LR. -
There isn't really much that can survive fully buffed Recluse without using inspirations.
-
Yeah... not taking Active Defense as early as possible is suicide. lol
-
I've never actually asked this but what is role playing?
-
I am not sure what your goal is for this character, is there any particular goal that you are trying to accomplish with them? Do you want a super survivable character, do you want a glass cannon, etc...?
-
If you love it so much then why don't you marry it!
-
I am a little bit confused about your build, because on one end you have the gladiator's armor unique and on the other you have very few superior sets slotted. You do realize that the GA enhancement ranges from 2 to 4 billion influence correct? If so thats fine, and if you can afford them I'd suggest slotting the superior sets into Lunge, Impale, and Throw Spines, the added rec, regen, and rech will really help out your build.
I'd also slot the performance shifter proc into PP on average it adds more end/s than a regular end mod enhancement. -
Ultra mode was added because its cool

Quote:Ultra mode was added because it was cool.Hey, folks. Here's the actual quote:
"Ive never been a huge fan of weather for the sake of weather and Ive said not on my watch in the past, but if there is a compelling gameplay reason to do it, not just because its cool, Id reconsider. So far, no ones come up with one, but Im open to ideas."
Note that this is a far cry from "solid no." As with all things, we'll look at the priorities of the project at hand and introduce new tricks when they make sense. Cheers.

Quote:So by having perma hasten I will be able to keep soul drain up more often which means marginally higher dps?You get at least 32.25% recharge out of the very rare - the 15% affected by ED is at worst 15%*15% = 2.25% recharge.
I'd two-slot Hasten, giving 100% recharge pre-ED (Edit: OK, 99.8% pre-ED, close enough.). A third slot would be fully affected by ED, so while useful, it would be like adding a fourth slot today. 100% before ED is 95% after ED, plus the 30%, so 125%. With 70% from Hasten itself and needing +275% for perma, you'd need 80% more global recharge, assuming I did that right. -
Quote:Ultramode does zilch and we still got itI have never cared about weather effects and I never will. They do precisely zilch for me. Yes, they're cool to see. Once. Beyond that, they're just fluff, and I agree with War Witch - they add nothing to the part of the game that I care about.
"Immersion" is such a blanket statement these days, what with people throwing it around willy-nilly, that it no longer has any meaning or weight. I, for one, would be much more "immersed" in the game if I could colour my Ring of Fire to be the same colour as my Cremate and my Healing Flames than I would be if it rained or it snowed. In fact, having weather and seasons tends to distract me from games more than it helps, with the possible exception of L4D2 where it actually makes you blind as a bat, thus carrying a gameplay effect.
I will always pick more costumes, more powers, more locations and more customization over weather. -
Whoa I just realized I'll have permanent hasten lol...

Take a lot at my thread on the first page, the latest build will probably be my I19 build. It should cost around 5 to 6 hundred million if you're patient.

Quote:I tried using this formula to calculate the change in recharge for Soul Drain when slotting an AS and I don't think I did it correctly. What do you mean, the change in the recharge time itself?
Recharge Time = Base Recharge Time / (100% + Total Recharge Enhancement and Bonuses)
So let's say you have Hasten and +85% recharge from set bonuses:
Recharge Time = 15 seconds / (100% + 126.2% + 70% + 85%) = 3.935 seconds
Base recharge: 120s
Set bonuses: 81.6%
Hasten:70%
Enhanced Recharge:131.33%
So 120/(100+131.33+70+81.6)=.313....... Am I supposed to convert the percentages to decimals and then divide?
Edit: I divided by 100 and got 31.3s for my answer, that seems a lot more realistic. Nice to know that a very rare AS will lop off 3 seconds from Soul Drain's recharge. -
Quote:Exactly, now with the very rare s.b.a.s. I can effectively two slot Hasten and only lose 6% enhanced recharge and now free up a slot. Which will probably go into Combat Jumping and I'll be able to slot in another set of Shield Wall for more +hpPlus you may want to build around a specific alpha boost, targeting a specific recharge level with the spiritual alpha boost included, for instance, and maybe short changing some of your slotting since you'd be affected by ED at a lower level of enhancement in the powers themselves.
. I love math
Edit: Hmm looks like I'll be keeping that third slot in Hasten. The VRAS removes 11 seconds from its recharge... -

Here is an I19 iteration of my build, can anyone help me run the endurance calculations?

After that I am confident in that a large majority of players choosing the spiritual tree.
-
Quote:Or what you can do is decrease the amount of recharge bonuses and supplant them with the spiritual tree and then focus on other aspects of your build. With the information here, I was wondering what people are planning.
I have a high recharge build for my Fire/Elec, so the Spiritual Tree is wasted due to the diminishing returns of recharge. I can make a case to slot the Cardiac, Musculature, or Nerve trees, so it's not looking like an easy decision. -
-
I would have made it so the skeleton model could have apendages change size, as well has animated everything on them.
Make it so powers could animate from different portions of the body.
Have a mission and animation designer tool from day one
Not have so many zones, or servers.
Weather
More interactive environment
Have a lot of zone events, i.e. stop the bank robbers, save the kitten from the tree, walk to old lady across the street, red ball
Make PvP non zone exclusive, have a switch to shut off PvP or turn it on at will
Are just a few I'd done differently -
RMT? Regie voor Maritiem Transport? Reliable Multicast Transport? Ready Made Trains? Registered Massage Therapist? Rockville Musical Theater?!
