Quote:Contundent? But StJ uses more fluid but contundent animations so I bet we cant see a big difference.
Google tells me there's a Spanish word, contundente:
Translation of CONTUNDENTE. 1. : blunt <un objeto contundente : a blunt instrument>. 2. : forceful, convincing.
Is that what you mean? -

Quote:Uh...it's not a matter of coding preventing them. Redraw animation time was consciously added into the game by the Devs and had been asked for by the playerbase. Redraw is the solution to an even worse problem, the "standing around unable to act for a fraction of a second even during an attack chain because of baked-in redraw delay." Instead, now we only have a redraw penalty if we're interrupting consecutive uses of the weapon set's attacks.I guess there is some sort of <difficult coding problem> that prevents getting rid of redraw completely, but I still *really* wish it would go away.
Quote:Last official word I heard on this subject was back when BAB and Castle worked to remove the "baked in" redraw times from all the various weapon sets.
Quote:That did wonders for those sets' DPS, but also meant that redraw was an unequivocally bad thing in that regard.
Bottom line: we asked for redraw penalties, we got them, and we are arguably better off for having them. -
While I understand this was a non-native speaker, for native English speakers, failing to pay the least bit of attention to spelling, punctuation, and composition is insulting to the readers (i.e., everyone else), and no longer cool, either.

ALL melee AoEs follow this rule.
Quote:and the aoe distance insanely small. Its very difficult to hit anything with the aoe. The radius on the aoe is also a miniscule 7 feet and 50% arc and 6 feet radius.
This is just NOT TRUE. Furthermore, Foot Stomp's 10-target limit is well-known AND easily researched! Take more pride in your work and TRY to know what you're talking about.
Knockout Blow is an outlier to balance the rest of the set. Many melee sets have no single power with its damage number, but te sets as a whole are regarded as strong. -

My experience is that everyone everywhere does Incarnate trials, often to the exclusion of everything else. Incarnate trials are the easiest thing to find players for. Join any well-populated server and you won't be able to swing a dead cat without getting Threads all over it.

Heh. I had made a character on one server a couple of years ago, but could not get the name I wanted, so I settled for second choice. He'd been unplayed for over 300 days when I used a free transfer this week to move him over to Champion for the Tanker Tuesday Anniversary event last night.
I paid no attention to whether his name would be available, as I thought it was a weird enough choice no one else would want it -- I toyed with the idea of checking but didn't bother to waste the mouseclicks.
I was shocked to discover his name was taken, and I was forced to rename him. I thought back to the original concept behind the character, tried the name I had originally wanted years ago, and it was available!
So in effect, I was forced by a server transfer to get the name I had always wanted. -

Quote:This is quite literally the best thing since sliced bread. Believe it or not, we used to have to recreate an online build by entering it into Mid's by hand while tabbing back and forth between game and Mid's. Sliced bread can't hold a candle to using Sentinel with two mouse clicks. And the easiest way to get your build into Mids is to use the Titan Sentinel. It can grab your build from in game and paste it into Mids directly.

Yeah, bear in mind MA is considered a fairly hard-hitting single-target set now.

Okay, how's this for deja vu?
Here's a short list of just a few previous discussions on exactly this question:

I note that the last thread on that list contains this exact question -- "Also is willpower better than invul.?" and that it was posted by...let's see...you.
AND the reply contains another list of previous threads on this topic...posted by...well, me.
Feel free to re-read at your leisure! -
You know what would be a good title for this thread? Street Justice: What AT?

I don't have anyone on Champion normally, but thanks to what theologians reverently refer to as "The Miracle of the Free Server Transfer" I will be there!

Note that if you are trying to slot 5 sets of KC and don't want to take 5 single-target melee attacks, Brawl saves you a power pick. I finally realized this when considering taking Boxing AND KICK on a character to slot another set, and suddenly figured out I could put the slots into Brawl and skip Kick, picking up a one-slot-wonder power instead.

Am I right in believing that Brutes are intended to be sturdier than Scrappers but do less damage, so that they are effectivley in between Tanks and Scrappers on a continuum?
Because if that's true, and if, as some assert, Brutes actually do more damage than Scrappers, shouldn't we expect some sort of Brutewide nerf to get them to where they are supposed to be? -

Clarification: you can type /respec to start a free respec the devs have handed out, but to start an "earned" respec from the respec trials, you need to see a contact. Heroside it's Jack Wolfe (now in Atlas). Villainside it's Arbiter Lupin in Nerva.
More on respecs in general: here. -
Oh snap! I have a pit bull who lets me dress her up in clothing! Gotta get that for Simone!!!

But...you have a Masters in Necromantic Technology! Zombies aren't your thing? :P
