Bienvenue, Sept!
Is it true that you ate 9? -

Quote:I myself would want promps that adds value to the experience, the promps we have can't do that if it's always in the way with ever piece of garbage you ever encounterQuote:
"Yeah, I'm usually running the same content over and over again since nothing new has come out, BUT HOT DAMN! I GOT ME SOME PROMPTS! You know what I can do with all the time that saved me!? That's at least 5 extra seconds every day I get back!"

If you're not coming back with an adequate response to this:
Then you're just asking the devs to waste time on an unNEEDED item instead of more rewarding items for the playerbase. -
Quote:I think I remember that maybe someone somewhere before might have probably said they were already working on this. But I can't be sure.Small team task forces
Soloable missions and story archs
stuff for those of us that want to have the incarnate story flavor but for whom raids are boring
Either way, /signed. -
Quote:Is paying more attention not a simple solution? Seriously, the recipes are color coded in your recipe window. How is that a difficult and grueling task? Is taking ownership of a mistake in a game that difficult for you? What's it like in the real world?Saying to someone to just pay attention more, when a simple solution such as this can be placed, completely denotes a QoL change. I'm asking this to improve my quality of life with the game, so I don't have to worry about deleting a good recipe when deleting tons of commons very frequently for example.

Sounds overly complicated. /unsigned
I'd rather see eligibility for Emps to be 1/24hr period. It would better suit sporadic play schedules without affecting static ones.
So, if someone runs a Lambda and completes it at 11:59pm on day 1, they can turn around and run another Lambda and complete it at 12:30am day 2. Then they would have to wait until 12:00am day 3 to get another Emp from a Lambda.
Basically, it's the same scheduling that Notices of the Wells have, just on a day to day frame.
Seriously, not all of us play at the same time of every day, devs. Cut it out with the 20 hour timers. -
And you're missing our point. Just pay attention to what you're doing.
This is coming from someone who has made the mistake. The difference is, I know it's my own fault when I make it. Don't blame a system that didn't force you to be hasty. And don't ask the devs to do more work because you're too lazy to pay attention.
The other problem with your suggestion, is that eventually, there will be a common or uncommon you want (there are plenty of useful ones out there) that you could potentially delete by accident. Then you'll just be back here complaining when you make the mistake again.
So, /unsigned. LRN2PAYATTENTION. -
As someone who once sold a Purple to a vendor, I say no. Just buck up and take responsibility for the mistake. Laugh it off and move on. Asking for MORE tedious and annoying prompts is not what I want in my gaming experience.
Now, if you want to suggest that they make uncommon recipes show up with yellow names, rare with orange names and very rare with purple names at the vendor store, I'd get behind that. At least I could blame the vendor window on that (still my mistake though). If you're deleting recipes, they're color is already showing up, which should be all the filtration you need. -
While I find nothing wrong with wanting to kill all on any TF, your blanket statement really lacks insight. There's plenty of people running speed TFs because they want to get in as much game content as possible on limited play schedules. It's one of the things CoH is known for, being casual friendly.
I think the problem can be equally blamed on people not asking if the TF they joined is a speed run or not, since they can quit out if they don't like the answer. If you don't like the way a team operates, form your own. I'm not being callous, just pragmatic. We all have different preferences, there's no need to take away from others when you can make a solution for yourself. -

Good thing it's not a Hero specific TF. Seeing as villains can run it alongside heroes, it shouldn't destroy your RP desires.
While you may not like failing missions, I'm sure a great many more people don't like trying to find and rescue all the captives on an extremely large map.
I haven't seen any issues with Penny not making it to the door, but all the runs I do someone's always using the "Recall Team" power. It's usually a very short mission.
But if you're going to ask that LGTF is changed, at least ask for something that's been bugging the majority of players, and that's the Honoree's obviously broken Tier 9. -

A hint for the updated content the Producer's Letter referred to?

Quote:I think it all depends. If Mad's not working on too many side projects and games, then yeah, he could deliver on monthly schedule. At least, I'd be really excited if he did.Unfortunately, the name "Madureira" was attached to the announcement, too, which means this fun sounding book will be lucky to publish 2 issues in a year.

A very well written guide. I think many new tankers (and some old ones, I'm sure) could benefit from the read.
However, I'm not in complete agreement with the "First to Fight, First to Fall" motto. If I fall first and I've been doing my job right, that's 17 units of aggro unleashed on my team. Ideally, you want no other team mates to fall, but the situation determines who has to be (for lack of a better word) sacrificed.
Still, a solid read. Get it stickied in the tanker forum. -

I think the timing of the 60s works better. It seems more suited a time (age wise) for Charles and Eric to make the choices they ultimately make. Seeing as Eric is a survivor of the holocaust, that kind of narrows that "age of discovery" window.

Quote:Considering X3 and XO:W were horrible movies that nearly destroyed the franchise, I'm fine with them ignoring anything from those movies. Why would you WANT that continuity to be kept??Something I just realized...
First Class has Emma Frost, a full grown woman, in 1962.
Origins: Wolverine has her as a younger version, in her teens. That would place O:W before First Class, logically. Yet it also had teen Cyclops in it, who is still a young man in the modern day X films.
Also, it blames the Three Mile Island disaster on the O:W events, which happened in 1979.
My brain hurts now.
And while Hank does make an appearance in X2, I can forgive he fact that they probably never conceived of a prequel being an option.
Since Cyclops and Jean are too young in the previous movies to be kids in the 60's, I'm not sure of a feasible way to pull that off. -
I'm against selling more costume slots. Booster packs are one thing, since they usually have at least one fun temp power. Besides, I'd prefer CoH not move over to the F2P format, and nickle-and-diming every new feature of the game isn't going to avoid that scenario.
Quote:Considering the amount of altitist sufferers I've seen. I doubt many people want to be charged for individuals when the case would better suit them.I just don't want to pay for a case of soda when all I want is one.
Besides, with as much as they'd need to charge in order to make money, it only makes sense to do account wide purchases. Charging individually would be way too much like a F2P format.
And any kind of point purchase system is a scam. I consider them to be deceptive at best. -
Quote:SO MUCH THIS!Hm, here's an idea; if a character is logged out at a supergroup base or base portal and is earning time for their Day Job, why not have them appear at the Supergroup Base, hanging out at random? Wandering its halls, or lounging on chairs, leaning against walls, or summat.
As a solo SGer, it would be comical/awesome seeing my alts walk around the base.
It would be better still if they interacted with emotes. -
Quote:He says of the comic book movie.I respect your point of view but I still disagree with it. I just don't find that scene believable.
/tongueincheek
[edit] I felt the same way about the scene (why would someone be so casual about potentially being skewered?), but at the time, I didn't realize that it was Shaw. Then it fell into place for me. -

Quote:Sorry, let me rephrase. It's inconsistent with exploration badges of it's kind. Being part of a static zone, and not being part of an instanced situation. Are there any PVP exploration badges locked behind a raid event? It's also inconsistent with exploration badges required for unlocking Portal Beacons. No it's not.
There are exploration badges that only exist on certain mission maps. There's a whole slew of them you have to do safeguard / mayhem missions for (which means finding someone in the right level range if you're already past it). There's one you can only get during the holiday event. There are exploration badges in PvP zones. There's one hidden on an Arena map, that you can only get by being lucky with the random map selection. There's one you have to effectively complete a trial to obtain.
I should have realized specialized exploration badges might be considered the norm for some. -
