  1. Ok that makes things a lot clearer. I see what you are saying ~same defense and more resists. Thing is, although I have a fair bit of influence to throw at this build the 2nd +3% def IO is more than Im willing to pay for any enhancement, maybe one day when Im rich

    Also I have just respeced into grant cover and I like the 15% extra -DEF debuff protection it gives. I really noticed the extra protection in mobs of Romans (btw focused acc was very useful there to)
  2. Just a quick question? To get Dark Blast I need to take either torrent or pertifying gaze which means taking to powers to get 5 slots for purples? I have to take boxing anyway to get tough and weave.

    So in your suggestion Im dropping 2 powers (hasten and phalanx fighting) and picking up 2. This how ever means taking dark EPP over body which means giving up a full set of gaussains and the 2.5% to all possitionals bonus.

    You also suggest taking hover/maneuvers, any idea what else I should drop to pick one of those up? I cant see anything. If I picked up tactics I could still get the gausseins bonus but I cant fit it all in. Im playing with the build at the moment but I cant seem to get it over the soft cap.

    As for manually firing hasten, I dont find this to much of a problem, its a little annoying but seeing as my defense is all toggles and takes care of itself I can manage fine.

    Also I have yet to use hami-os in a build so I appreciate the advice about those.

    Thanks for the advice, I will carry on playing with the build as I agree more resistance is always useful and if I can get it in and stay soft capped.

  3. With the miracle in true grit and the regen tissue in health regen is 244%, when the procs are swapped (regen tissue in true grit and miracle in health) the regen rate is 262%

  5. Quick question? Is it better to slot miracle +recover in health, and regen tissue +regen in true grit? Or the other way around? Regen tissue +regen in health and the miracle in true grit? Does it make a differance either way?

  9. Here is my DM/SD build that I am about to spend lots of inf on. Before I blow silly amounts of inf could you guys cast an eye over it please? Its a PvE toon, Im not that bothered about an AV soloing build.

    The attack chain I have in mind I found on the US boards:

    Smite, MG, smite, SL

    I have slotted for the soft cap and recharge so I can use the 3 power attack chain.

    I have a fair bit of inf+merits saved up and would like a high end scrapper. Any help much appreciated

  11. Ive found prices to be falling at WWs on everything except common salvage and purples. I bought 2 LoTG recharge IOs of 35mil each over the weekend. They were 55mil as little as 2 weeks ago

    Well thats sort of my point, I enjoyed Monday night In RV, so I want to take part and I would like to do well, but I dont think its fair that my main is broken and I now have to start a new and expensive toon and Im asking if there is a way to avoid this?
  15. I havent played a /SD scrapper but shield charge does look like lots of fun.

    As a scrapper I like nothing better than jumping into the middle of a mob and causing chaos before the tank gets there. With shield charge I can get there a lot quicker than the tank and cause a lot more chaos.

    Maybe I will ditch the fire/fire scrapper I have planned... DM/SD you say?
  16. Thanks to Massive's new Monday night RV free for all I have taken an interest in PvP. Thing is my main is /SR scrapper and I loose 15% possitional defense by stepping into RV.

    Now I have a few questions about this:

    1. Is this like loosing 15% defense in PvE?

    2. Is it possible to cap /SR for PvP with the new PvP drops? ( I guess I should try on mids but cba if someone else has already tried)

    3. Is it fair? Is there any other ATs that have been gimped like this for PvP (I know nothing is as good as before i13 but loosing 15% defense??)

    Im planning a new PvP toon anyway, but I really like playing my main and spent a lot of time and inf on him. I also have another PvE project, an ill/rad troller that is going to cost lots in time and inf so Im not sure when I will be able to build my PvP toon.

    Anyone new to the game/forum reading your dirty washing will be put off CoX, more than by anything the devs have/have not done.

    The game has changed and you are sad maybe even outraged about it. This I understand, but these post and threads complaining about the state of the game will spoil the game for new comers and thus make it worse for those of us who are not leaving by making the server populations even smaller.
  18. I have three lvl 50 scrappers:
    My first CoX toon is a DB/SR scrapper which I really enjoy
    Next was MA/Regen which was also fun
    My latest is FM/SR

    I liked DB/SR a lot but there just wasnt quite enough damage, so FM seemed a logical choice and it is loads of fun

    Nice build, I think with a LoTG +recharge somewhere you can get away with one slot on PB (imo), I also 3 slotted tough for a little extra resistance which I toggle on against AVs and the like but then again how often do you fight AVs?

    Also if you can spare the inf/merits a miracle +recovery in health would help in any long AV fights

    I would also like to thank Massive, I had fun last night. I dont PvP usually (other than getting stalked when farming pillboxes) but the general mayhem was great fun and Im actually going to build a PvP toon.
