Hello fellow Masterminds, I'm going to be making my Bots/Traps MM soon for PvP and alot of PvE content as well.
I have two builds to choose from, and I'm having a hard time deciding between them.
Both of the builds are expensive so I will only be choosing one of them.
The first build I have has a bit less recharge, but it has Dark Embrace, which will give me around 35% resistance to all in PvP after DR. I have Phase Shift on both builds as it will help tremendously with survivability.
For PvE, the first build has low Melee and S/L defense but it will have capped Ranged and AoE with the Prot bots bubble.

Now, on to the second build. I have more global recharge, and I have scorpion shield instead of dark embrace. In PvP, with the prot bots bubble I will have near 40-43% Defense after DR to S/L and about 60%+ in PvE, meaning some defense debuffs can get through and they won't affect me much.

I want to thank anyone who gives me feedback about these builds. Any modifications are welcome, but I'm generally going to stick with the pools and powers I currently have.

I was curious to know which AT/Powersets can solo a Rikti Pylon the fastest.
The top contenders that came to mind are a Bot/Traps MM with all the nasty -regen, -resistance and DPS.
Then, I thought about a Fire/Rad controller or a Ninja/Poison MM. Sure, for a Ninja/Poison, survivability would be an issue but with the right build, and with Taunt it is more than possible.
I know that a well built Fire/Shield scrapper can solo a Pylon in roughly 4 and a half to 5 minutes, but where do you guys think the AT's and powersets I mentioned rank in? Has anyone killed a Pylon solo in less than 4 minutes?

It has soft capped defense, around 160% recharge, siphon life heals for over 250 hp, average regeneration and recovery. I'm sure I could increase those but I'd have to sacrifice fire blast and fire ball. -

Here is my Illusion/Thermal controller.
I can solo most GM's, AV's, and I do a Pylon in about roughly 5 minutes.
I use this toon for Arena duels so that's why Blind is slotted the way it is, with that placate proc.

Hello fellow scrappers.
I know that there have been posts about DM/Shield builds before, but I was hoping to find a very expensive fully done build that people actually use.
I can't seem to make a build with soft-capped defense to atleast melee, and perma hasten, if that's even possible on a DM/Shield scrapper.
If someone has a similar build to what I described or one that someone uses, please PM me with the build.

Hello fellow scrappers.
I am having trouble on deciding on my next scrapper.
I have my eyes set on Shield Defense as I have not played this set before.
However the problem is deciding on the primary. I'm looking for good AoE, great single target damage, mostly soloing AV's and just having fun with a Pylon.
The 3 primaries I have thought about are Fire, DM, and Elec.
I'm also looking for end game performance. Influence is not an issue, as I have well into multi billions saved up from my hero toons. So soft-capping and making a top performing build is in the plans. This scrapper will be taking over my namesake.
Any advice and insight are greatly appreciated.

It has been already said, but to the OP: Go with SS/Inv or SS/Fire, and be sure to take Phase from concealment unless you want to be kited to death without having an escape option.
Best pools would be Fitness, Speed, Fighting, and Concealment. -

Well, expect to see my Ill/Therm in zone in the upcoming days. I just hit 50 on him.

I'm still finishing up my Ill/Therm, and the few arena matches I did with a friend, he didn't heal back any damage from PA.
The arena rules were the same as a zone, so from what I've seen in PvP, their damage is real.
What you said earlier is neat to think about. If PA would cause someone to constantly heal back the damage, and Heal Decay would be in effect, it would mess them up terribly. -

I have a Illusion/Thermal controller which I am finishing IO'ing out and I had a question about Giant Monsters.
All I want to know is if someone can list and rank them from hardest to easiest to kill.

There is still a difference between 100% global recharge without hasten and 50-70% without hasten.
Someone had a chart, where it showed the DR'ed numbers of global recharge. I think 100% global was in the low 80% range.
I say, if you have the money to build a toon with high global recharge while still maintaining important factors such as KB protection and HP then do it.

Because for the purpose of forge and other damage buffs, they are. If it was fortitude, then, yeah, brutes all the way. I have never made a controller before, and thought of a Illusion/Thermal for PvP.
Some people have told me that Mind/Thermal is better but I'm definitely going with Ill/Thermal.
I have a good build for it, but my problem lies with SI, the troller stealth cap, and overall performance in zone and arena. Also, PA is really neat, I know they won't be doing big damage in zone PvP but it's the coolness factor for me.
Ok, now to my questions:
Superior Invisibility is supposed to give you alot of stealth, but the troller stealth cap is near 570 feet.
My first question is, how effective will SI be for a hero? I mean base perception is 500 feet, so I'm guessing most villains with the Perception IO and or tactics will see me.
My second question is, I know that Illusion lacks major KB but can it still perform well in open zone PvP and arena?
Any feedback and opinions are appreciated. -
