Actually, Overwhelming Force adds a negative enhancement to the Knockback. And even if it didn't, procs are all flagged "Ignores buffs and enhancements". So both procs will stay at their basic levels. If the two combined add up to more than 0.75, it will be Knockback. Unfortunately, I can't answer the question, since I don't know the magnitude of either proc. If they're both the standard 0.67, then yes, they will combine to KB 4% of the time.

Quote:To further break it down:They wouldn't stack in the sense that it has a 40% chance to activate. It would have a 20% chance to activate, and then another 20% chance after that.
4% of the time, both would fire.
16% of the time, OF would fire.
16% of the time, Ragnarok would fire.
64% of the time, nothing would fire. -
Quote:The only problem I have with these missions it that the warning ISN'T there, until just before the mission in question./unsigned
The warning was there, you simply chose to ignore it.
So you take your level 50 to do a flashback of the new level 30-35 arc, and halfway through, you get told to go recruit some friends for the tough fight. Um... How? I'm in Flashback mode! I CAN'T invite friends to help me!
The warning should be up front, before you start the arc, just like it is on AE arcs. -

Or (assuming that you're Rogue or Vigilante), you can just go to Sharkhead.

If he's still on cooldown, you get the standard 2 Merits, and no threads.

Quote:Yes, as I remember it, there was a column that said "Inactive 90 days" under "Account status" and either "Yes" or "No" under "Playable" or "Unplayable". Not sure when it changed.I swear, the last time I saw something like that, it was on the Master Account page... Like where it says something like 'Subscribed until xxx date'.
Quote:Or, if you have an SG in common with the other account's characters, you could at least guesstimate the last time they played.
I said she was Premium, I didn't say she completely stopped playing. -
If you're seeing bubbles that look different, those aren't Force Fields, they're from other powersets like Sonic, Peacebringers and Warshades, or Incarnate powers.

Yep. When solo, FBZ is WAY better. On a team, the difference isn't so large, since normal zones (like PI) have the spawns scale based on the number of people around, and Hazard zones (like FBZ) just have large spawns all the time.

It wasn't listed in a particularly obvious announcement.

Quote:Because that's what the players want. A couple years ago, at one of the Player Summits, Positron asked the group about non-unique naming. He set it up in an "All for/all opposed" manner. For the "All for" side, there was a smattering of support. For the "All opposed", the response was thundering.Honestly, I don't see why we need unique names in the first place.
There may have only been 100-200 people in that sample, but it is fairly representative of the playerbase, in my experience.
I personally think that they should have non-unique naming per account (ie, since I have the name "Roderick" on Victory, I can make as many "Roderick" characters as I want, but others can't use the name), but that's a topic for a different thread. -
Your defense and resist still apply before Absorb, but absorb cannot be replenished with Heals or Regen, only by applying new Absorbs. And Absorb has its own cap, separate from HP's.

See topic.
I know I've seen it somewhere before, but now I can't find it. -
Quote:From the OP, it really doesn't sound like he's contacted support at all yet. I think he just remembered his old login info.Yes, I'm thinking the same thing. Support might have misunderstood you, and helped you start a new account instead. Perhaps they just could not locate the old account based on the information you gave them.
Normally, the servers are ordered with the last server you logged into first on the list, and the rest in order from lowest to highest server load. When Freedom launched, all accounts forgot which server was the last logged in. Since it only affected one login, I wouldn't be surprised if most people forgot about it.
However, if the OP quit playing before Freedom launched, the server he last logged in to could be anywhere on the list.
I would recommend checking all the servers for characters. And since the list is somewhat fluid, it might be a good idea to write down a list and check off the servers as you check them. Be sure to look at all 4 pages.
One last thing - it's possible that your playerslot.txt file is corrupt. That's VERY unlikely, considering that you're on a fresh install, but if it happened, it can sometimes make characters vanish from your list. Hyperstrike wrote a good little guide on fixing the playerslot.txt file. I'll see if I can find it, and add the link to my post if I can.

Quote:Yes.Would I be able to say, purchase 1 month of VIP time through my master account with a debit/credit card and then immediately cancel my membership keeping the 1 month I payed for and NOT be billed the following month?
Subscribe, wait until you can log into the game as a VIP (usually a matter of minutes or less), and then cancel your recurring billing. You'll get a notification on cancelling that you'll be able to play any remaining paid time, and that you'll automatically downgrade to Premium when that time expires.
Quote:I won't have any more money on the card to cover the cost and don't want to take my chances that either my bank will cover the charge and charge me 30 something bucks for an overdraft fee
Quote:or not cover the charge and NC Soft takes action against my account for failure to pay because I forgot to cancel my sub before it expired.
Now, if a payment goes through and you're successfully resubscribed, and then you file a chargeback or otherwise force NCSoft to give back your money, you'll get banned. If it's a result of a bank error, it can sometimes get reversed (though the one time I heard of it happening, the person was locked out of their account for about two months before they got it resolved). But they'll never ban you for not paying; they'll just shift you back to Premium. -
Quote:Because that pile of guano isn't trying to kludge new tech onto 8 year old models - the robes were included in the design from the early stages, and didn't have to be retrofitted.I hate pointing to a certain other super hero MMO that was created by the same company that developed this game before they sold it to NCSoft as an example, but they successfully created ankle length dress/robe costume pieces that don't look silly with any of their powers.
If the devs at that steaming pile of bat guano can do it why can't our devs? Our devs are smarter, more talented, better looking and sexier than the people at that other company, and it's common knowledge this game is much more successful finacially than they are.
Just sayin.
For us, there are only two ways to do robes:
-Replace the legs with robes, like Tsoo Sorcerers. This can cause odd deforming with extreme leg movement. Also, the underside is, IIRC, a flat black plane which looks kinda dumb.
-A skirt/kilt or belt. This works better, but still not great. Go to the costume creator and create a female with a pencil skirt, select Dual Blades, Dual Pistols, Martial Arts, or anything else with really active animations. Then, try to tell me that skirt is made of anything other than spandex. Spandex that is superglued to her knees.
The latter method could probably be adapted to long robes, but they'd have to be built right, or honestly, they'd look stupid. I'm hoping that there are some development hours being put into tweaking whatever needs it to make robes/long skirts happen, but I really don't think they should add them using the assets that are currently available. -

I noticed on Tuesday that the Pocket D Costume Bundle (and its component pieces) were on the market. I was under the impression that these were supposed to only be available during the Spring Fling, but I assumed that they had just been re-released.
However, today, I noticed Sela Vermont on the list in the Pillar in Ouroboros. I ran around a bit, and she isn't in Atlas, nor are any of the Spring Fling NPCs in Pocket D, but I was able to take and run the mission via Flashback - I had to call her, like you do when doing the old Posi TF, rather than going in person.
I don't remember ever seeing Sela on the Flashback list, so I'm not sure if she's supposed to be there or not. But I was sure she was supposed to be there during the event only. And opening events out of season is usually accompanied by some form of announcement.
So, are the costume pack and contact supposed to be active, or did someone click a wrong button while turning off the Summer Event?
