Quote:Fair enough. The post I replied sounded quite agitated, in the tone of voice I read it in. Wouldn't be the first time I misinterpreted tone in a written medium, and it probably won't be the last.lol. Actually, I'm not "freaking out". I'm simply responding to the same somebody who has no idea what level priority it is but has decided to dispute my position that it should be a priority based on the inequality of gameplay that the bug presents.
I really want this bug fixed too. Unfortunately, priority isn't the only factor that detemines how long it takes to fix. Remember that 112431wwwwwwaaaa1111wwhorrible chat bug a few months ago? Hopefully, this one won't be as hard to ferret out the cause of. -
Quote:My Kat/SR has Quickness, sprint and swift 2-slotted with level 50 run IOs (roughly equal to 3 SOs), plus a set of Winter's Gift (+6% movement), a set of Gaussians (+5% movement), 3 pieces of Performance Shifter (+5% movement), 2 pieces of Regenerative Tissue (+4%), and 5 Gift of the Ancients Defense/Runspeed (+7.5% each, for a total of +37.5%).I don't have Mids in front of me to tell you, but if you can, do this:
Three slot sprint. Put three IO's for run speed into it. That's over the ED cap.
Do the same for swift and quickness.
Now find a place for five sets of Kinetic Combat or anything else that gives the 5% movement increase.
http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Category...Movement_Speed
That's as fast as you'll be able to go without superspeed.
EDIT: According to the wiki, if you could slot five sets of siphon insight, that's 20% movement increase. Then five sets that provide 5% each, for an additional 25%. Finally, add in five winter's gift sets, for a grand total of 75% movement increase. Find a way to slot all of those? I doubt it.
I get about 60 mph with just sprint turned on. -
Well, there goes my idea. I have similar resolution, and haven't noticed an issue. Gonna have to get another Mac user to go test it.
-
I don't badge on a Kheld, and I don't PVP at all, so I've no experience with this issue. I wonder though, have you checked to see if the same issue affects Widows and Soldiers?
-
Quote:What's your screen resolution? On the known issues lit, it says that the OK and X buttons are off-screen and unclickable at certain lower resolutions. I suspect you're running into a related issue.Trying out the tailor on the training room, it looks as though there isn't enough room for the power customization menu? I.e., when you select any power from tier 1-8, the tier 9 power falls off to make room for the customization selector, and when you select a tier 9 power, you cannot see the customization selector for it.
Is anybody else experiencing this problem? This was with the Mac client -- I was too lazy to reboot under Windows to check if it happened with the Windows client, too. -
Quote:Last time I was in a Closed Bet with new IOs, Ghost Falcon came on several times and filled every bid for any of the new IOs or recipes. This was a huge time commitment, as there was no way to just fill the orders - he had to look them all up, spawn them one at a time and list them.I remember seeing that but I thought that was something which required some sort of manual intervention. If a redname were to respond to this thread, it would definitely help answer my questions about the testing environment.
There was a bot that filled all the orders on The Market automatically. This bot was a dedicated server of its own that scoured the market and filled bids. It only existed during the testing of Issue 9. Since then, it has been repurposed as a second Training Room to test server transfers, as the test enviroment for the Mac client, and several other things.
We can't get a store on Test only to sell these things - as has been said earlier in the thread, Test and Live are meant to be the same, and "Test only" code accidentally leaking to Live could be BAD. Especcially if there was suddenly a store in Atlas Park that sold all purples and PVP IOs for 1 Inf each.
And, of course, Test isn't for testing your character. It's for testing new patches in the game, and if there's things that they want us to test, they'll give us the means
As nice as it would be, there's no good reason to expect freebies to be handed out on Test; don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. -
Quote:You can't reactivate an existing account with a Trial code. You can reactivate an existing account if a friend sends you an "Invite a friend Back" code, but I don't think that code has trial restrictions on it.Hey there guys, First time poster here. I just had a quick question with my account, When I quit back in 06 or 07ish I had a level 26ish Scrapper and an 18 fire/Rad Controller. I do not recall what server these toons were on, But I do know the account, I logged into my account and my characters are no longer in existence.
I did some how activate the 14 day Trial, And I log into my original game account and it states this is the trial version (yada yada) Bur I'm still worried. I want to reactivate but Will my characters come back?
Thanks for the replies, And sorry for my wall of text.
I suspect that you used the Trial Code to create a new account. To reactivate your old account, go to http://plaync.com and log in to your PlayNC master account. From there, select your OLD account (not the new trial account) and reactivate it by entering your payment details - either credit card, time card or PayPal. -
Quote:THIS, only replace "a mob" with "the flier" and "way over there" with"on a Master run".The famous firing a ranged attack on something that dies JUST before you hit the button and watching your blaster/defender/whatever turn and shoot a mob way over there..
My Coalition is still giving me a hard time for that, and it was a week before i16. -
Quote:Whoa. Chill. It's a bug. It's been reported. The devs know. They'll fix it when they figure out what's wrong and how to fix it. Its position on the priority list is completely unknown to us. You're freaking out because someonewith no more inside info than you or I said that they think it's probably low-priority.It's irrelevant whether we lived without them before or not. One brand new shiney breaking an "older" shiney, does not make it okay.
If everyone lost the bonus equally, then your point might carry more weight.
That is not the case. Some are getting the bonus if they're sk'd, others are not getting it if they're exemp'd.
A level 40 sk'd to a lvl 45 gets their bonuses... another level 40 exemp'd to a lvl 35 does not get their bonuses.
It's a question of the inequality that is the issue.
That said, I'd like to add my voice to the ones saying that level-pacted people still seem to get the bonus. I was on a Posi, and the level pacted pair dinged 18 and got the full light show and buff. When I , unpacted, levelled to 16, I got nothing. It just rolled from one bubble to the next, as if I hadn't levelled.
The level bonus isn't completely absent, though. Yesterday, I was on my brute, I was exemplared down to 7. Lacking Stamina and gasping for breath, I was trying to get one last punch in to finish off my enemy before he killed me, and my teammate, elsewhere on the map, killed something that levelled me. Suddenly, I was at full health and endurance, though I didn't get the flash or inspirations. So it seems that only PART of the level bonus is absent. -
Sorry BABs, I missed this thread a few days ago when I posted this thread about some issues with huge model animations. Seems certain VFX aren't syncing up with the body parts they should be. Pictures are included in that thread.

Quote:It used to be the best, and it's still getting better.Go figure! I want to complain about the stability (approximately 1 loss of cennection or crash / hours) and I cant get to new posts. One would think that a once great company would allow so respectful criticism, but I guess the are falling prey to commercialism and no longer carring about their patrons. Well, I for one will not renew either of my 2 memberships and advise everyone else against it. It is a shame, because this used to be the best!
I'm not really sure what you're talking about here, people post new threads all the time. However, this section of the boards is specifically for the discussion of the various announcements, and as such, only forum admins and developers can start new threads here. Try going to a section for player posts if you want to start a new thread of your own.
Oh, and since you're quitting....
I can has ur stuff? -
Quote:Remember that Smurphy offers Inf transfers and exchanges. You'd have to pay the transfer fee, and possibly a bit off the top, but he'll turn it all into Infamy if you win and that's what you want.I don't know why I feel this way, but I wish the magical spreadsheet showed the dates the tickets were purchased.
Anyway supercool little distraction from the normal routine of the game, thanks for putting it together.
And I'm just gonna throw this out there, I'm a little bummed so much of the money is coming from blueside when everyone knows a redsider is gonna win it all.
Anyway it's all Funtabulous -
I've started noticing some issues with the placement of certain VFX. All of the ones I've noticed have been since I've started playing a new character with a Huge model. I can't remember all the ones that I;ve spotted, but these two stand out the most to me:
My Seismic Smash consistently has the VFX centered a few feet to my right, instead of at my hands.
When I use any of the juggle emotes, the balls fall past my hands, and then are thrown back up, rather than being caught and thrown.
If I remember any others I've noticed, or find others, I'll add them. -
I'm willing to put money down that the automated system that will grant closed beta access will NOT grant you beta status. However, we have AWESOME community service reps here. Do what Bill recommended, and they may be able to help you out.
Also remember that there are other ways to get into Betas, including being lucky enough to be randomly selected. Never despair! -
Quote:Not quite. It seems like the page says you've earned the time when you pay for it. For example, I have 1 year, 3 months listed on my second account, but the 15th month doesn't actually END until the 22nd, so that's when I'll get the rewards.Isn't that what it says?
i've paid for 4 years 11 months and played for 5 years and 1 month.
Sounds to me like you paid 3 months in August, or 6 months in April, or so on. The instant you PAY for the time, you get "Veteran Time" credited on your account info, but you don't actually get the rewards until the time is up.
Assuming you've never deactivated your account, a better way to figure it out is to start at the "Created on" date listed on the account details, and count forward from then until today to see what you should actually have. If you HAVE gone on hiatus at any time, it might be much harder to count out on your own. -

Quote:I'd like a pony.I know that one...the the others, even the little update patchnotes, even if it just says, fixing stability issues....... I would like to know whats being changed on every single patch.
However, we're not entitled to know every change made to their servers, and if the game plays exactly the same after the fact, then they are under no obligation to tell us. -
-
By the looks of it, you've paid in advance. You only recieve veteran rewards for time PLAYED, not time PAID. ie, paying in advance does not get you the rewards early.
-
I just exited Cimerora and DID get stuck in the crystal. However, by turning and walking at the same time, I was able to get out.
-
Quote:Or maybe, that would be "First, point one. Second, point two, and so on".Yeah.... about that 'first' business.
Anyway, lots of people are reporting this. Based on the TF's I've done, I agree - the recipe drop rate does appear to be borked.
That's how I read it, at least. -
Quote:My brute set for +1 and spawns of 6 teamed with my GF's dom (Set for +0/1, but her settings were irrelevant, since we were running my missions). We were fighting groups of 10+ enemies, often with bosses in them. The real team size most definitely did NOT override my settings.I am not sure but so far it seems that when your on a Team it sets for the number on the team. With the level setting for the Leader.
Solo Hero X is set for +2 levels and Spawns of 4 hero team.
Hero X now running a team of 3 Heroes the mission be +2 levels and spawns of 3 hero team.
Again I am not 100% sure but from what I experianced so far that seems to be the system.
The Level ranges effects are Solo and Team
the other settings of Spawns, Bosses, and AVs are for Solo only.
Remember that the Leader's difficulty does NOT set the difficulty for the team, the mission holder's does. So if the mission holder and leader are different people, you could see what appears to be team size overriding the leader's difficulty; this is because the leader's difficulty is being ignored. -
Everything is based off the mission holder, as mentioned above, so ignore any teammate's difficulties.
1> The team is spawned for the virtual teamsize in your difficulty OR the actual team size, whichever is bigger.
2> Bosses and Archvillains are downgraded to Lieutenants and Elite Bosses Respectively, unless your settings allow them at full strength, or the team size is large enough to override that setting. Bosses spawn with 2 or more on the team, Archvillains with 6 or more. Bosses and Archvillains never downgrade in regular Task Forces, regardless of team size or difficulty settings.
3> The virtual team size NEVER affects Boss and AV scaling. That is governed entirely by the "I want to fight Boss/AV" settings and the REAL team size. -
