Full Auto. Yes, it does less damage than most of the other set powers. But it also has the best recharge and has crazy range. I love it and so should you.
-
I made a DP/Kin Corr that's pretty fun. Add in Soul Drain and you get some pretty nice damage for the sets 'nova'.
-
Indeed. Once you pick a power that requires the crab back pack, no matter what build you use... the backpack stays. They are working on it, but it doesn't seem like they're making any head-way.
-
No, because you won't have access to them either way. Soldiers don't get APPs.

While AR has one of my all time favorite powers, Full Auto, I agree with you: It could use a bit of a boost damage-wise. This makes it all the more frustrating considering how far and wide you can spread the damage later on (seriously Full Auto is amazing).
I recommend Energy for your secondary. It gives damage, range, and special boosts (which will mostly just effect your knockbacks). Unfortunately, because of AR's ranged nature, that's about all you'll want to take.
Granted, I haven't made an AR/Dev, so I couldn't tell you how well they mesh together. I'm just going off my experiences with my AR/Elec and Psi/Dev and imagining how they would play together.
If it makes any difference... I still think AR is fun, regardless of the downsides. It can just get a little frustrating as all... and you'll probably have to team more than usual. -
It's not too bad I suppose... however... that was for Shatter, the hardest hitting power I have. This means 40 is pretty much the most I'll get with the common enhancement. Any other powers will get less from it (assuming you have them all slotted for max damage). Granted, any improvement is better than none, but it doesn't seem all that worth it when you consider how much more you could get later on. To me, it would be more beneficial to round out your character performance with another enhancement while you hunt down the materials for the rares.

Good Time by Leroy is my personal favorite. -
Here's an interesting thought.... In the vision TJ had, we assumed everyone was alive. But we now know they all died months ago. Perhaps what she saw was everyone in the afterlife and they were comforting her with the knowledge that her child's spirit was going to a good place.
Probably not, but I thought it would be an interesting twist. An afterlife would also support the religion side of things and how there will always be some points of knowledge outside of our reach. -

Because there's a franchise that truly needs updating. So look for The Dark Knight Rises Way Earlier Than That Other One And Also More Cheaply And In Toronto, rebooting into a theater near you.

I love that their explanation for getting there was that they feel asleep and woke up in the shuttle near Destiny. That was a nice bit of foreshadowing to the conclusion that they had actually died. Ya know... death is the sleep you never wake up from.

I actually thought it was a rather interesting episode. Aside from getting the shuttle back... it did well to promote character growth, dug deep into characters belief structures and explained what happened to those left behind on the planet. I kind of wish they had introduced a more valid 'pro-religion' point of view, but at least it didn't feel like out-right religion bashing. For example: In response to Eli's quote, Young actually quoting Churchill rather than making an apathetic joke. That would have been a nice touch, imo.
Still... at the very least... it was a solid filler episode. -
Quote:Incredible. I've seen plenty of people play the 'The book was better than the movie' card. But a 'The radio show was better than the movie' card? This is a rare site, indeed. And before the movie is even released! I need to take a picture of this moment and sell it on eBay. It'll net me millions! However, anyone in the know (and with even a modicum of sense) cannot help but be disappointed in this smouldering tripe and its disrespect for the intellectual property upon which it is supposedly based (or debased in this case).
Snobbery, thy name is Amerikatt. How about seeing the movie trailer for it's face value rather than watching it through those judgmental glasses of nostalgia? I hear they can make things from the past seem significantly better and keep anything from living up to their 'standards'. -
For the common enhancements, it might be a good idea to get both Damage and one that rounds out your character to help it perform better. I say this because: If you have your toon already slotted for maximum damage output, the common enhancement will do little to improve that (because of the low ED ignoring percentage). I checked the difference it made for my Banes Shatter and it only improved the number by 40.

Definitely a great episode. I wonder what was on the laptop...
I can't imagine Elly getting the intersect and being all prego-spy actiony. -

Quote:In all fairness... the trailer seemed more serious than I thought it would be. Sure it should have some funny moments.... but I'm willing to bet it won't be to this extreme.I do *not* want a Green Hornet movie filled with bathroom 'humor'.
IE: The smoke-gun scene from the trailer... is certainly not like the ex-lax bathroom scene from Dumb and Dumber. -

Or shows that already wrote out their story before they got canned and decided not to change it at all. Ala Flash Forward.

Assuming your Bane likes melee and your crab likes ranged damage? If so, it might be good to build your Ban to withstand a lot of punishment (IE, softcap defenses with IO bonuses and/or Alpha slotting). The Crab will be able to handle himself also, but being at range you won't be able to take advantage of it as much. I've been working on a Tanker build for my Crab... something to substitute for tanks/brutes in case a team needs it. So far my build has soft cap defenses and an average of 45% resists all around. Crabs really are tough suckers. You may want to consider that here if you are looking to take on large groups. Your crab can take the AoE taunt from the power pool and act as a tank. If you do, it would be a good idea to take some melee powers too.... so you don't accidentally agro a nearby group (I got my eye on you, Suppression).
Anyway... no matter what your group build, you'll want to take the key powers mentioned in the other posts as well as all pets you can possibly manage. Why? Why not? As a soldier you will have a few open power spots (especially in I19 when Fitness goes inherent) and they'll help you kill that much quicker. -
Just went to see this with my family yesterday. Great movie. I haven't read any of the books beyond the second one, so I wouldn't know what they left out but I think the movie was well paced. Favorite part was when Dobby showed up with Creature. Elves seem crazy powerful and I'm wondering why more of them don't show up to try and fight Voldamort.
Does Voldamort show up when anyone says his name? I kinda figured, but my folks (who don't follow the movies or books that well) were wondering how he kept finding them so quickly. I tried to explain to them that's why most people just refer to him as 'you know who'. Harry especially, considering he was never afraid to say the name in the first couple of movies.
I also got to see the Green Lantern trailer on the big screen and I agree: It certainly looks better. Or, at the very least, you can't see the flaws as much. My Dad's been a fan of GL for a *long* time and he nearly jumped out of his seat when he saw it. -
I actually think this idea is interesting. It could even be fun... so long as they aren't specifically tailored to destroy your attack type... like the Voids... They can be difficult, sure.... just not frustratingly so.
On a side note: I've always thought the idea of a personal nemesis would be really fun. Not someone that always has the story focus... but just a specific enemy character that shows up randomly. Almost as if they're hunting you down. Oh, that could be an interesting feature for Rogues and Vigilantes. And if you don't like it, you can simply switch back to Hero or Villain. -
See, now, I don't like this one as much. It has too much going on and sort of negates the effect of the simplistic design. If they just stuck with a few key members, it would have been much better.
-
I saw a bunch of Superhero art stylized like this, but they weren't near this level of quality. It could still use polish, but it's very well done over-all. Nice find.

Quote:And, contrary to popular belief, extremely difficult to create. Consider how many movies are out in existence today. Even with the number of remakes/rehashes/whathaveyou, just about every kind of story plot, character, scenery and camera style has been done numerous times. To criticize this movie for being unoriginal would be like criticizing a guy for looking like Howard Stern. There are so many people born every day... It was bound to happen eventually. Can't really say I agree with the trailer review. Okay, so the movie -seems- to be taking a couple nods from Iron Man (which is a good thing, even if Jordan is NOT Stark) and some other trailers, so what? This is Hollywood, originality is rather rare.
As an artist, I can tell you this with 100% certainty: Originality is an illusion. Anything you create or do is going to be somewhat similar to something that's be made or done before. -
I re-watched this in HD. The effects seem better, but I still don't like the way the mask is lit in the scene where he's showing his friend the suit. However, it does look better in other shots so it's possible the advertising company used the older footage for that.
