They only get Patrons, and yeah, I'm pretty sure you have to go villain and run an arc.

Yeah it's too bad they don't get access to the APPs, superior conditioning and physical perfection would be great one-slot powers for PS procs (assuming they'd get the brute's APPs).
I've always wondered if their choice to lock out VEATs from the hero pools was thematic (you break ties with Arachnos so not sure why this would be), done purposely for some reason (maybe the regen and recovery values would be over the top for physical perfection with the conditioning inherent) of just simply an oversight. Would be a nice option to have regardless.
They should be allowed to take the APPs if only because they get access to the Patron powers.

The reason SoAs don't get APPs is for some sort of parity with kheldians which don't get access to APPs *or* PPPs.

My longer explanation of this can be found here, on a similar thread.
In that post I said the source of power was "heavily implied." That was an undercooked argument. The source of power is explicit. The Epics available to EATs are consistent with the game lore. It'd be more surprising if they were anyway other than how they are now.

Ok, so I make a wolf spider build, and migrate it to heroside, full hero. I then level up to 41, and viola, no APP access. Does this actually mean I have to move him back to villain and do a damned patron arc?
You know, the devs hating villains is something of a cliche, but who knew they hated ex-villains as well?
