This is a great topic. I have wondered about the intermediates too. But here's what's so funny. The intermediates go nowhere but the top ones are needed and consumed for the next tier. So the most powerful ones will later be used at the next level.

You know this as well as the rest of do that your 50 is "not unplayable." Just don't craft anything until you understand the "Calculus of Cox" I played briefly yesterday for a few hours to just learn the system. I had to create a new league tab for the chat and I read about the slots during gameplay(yeah...I door sat a few times).

Key things to mention:

- Incarnate xp unlocks the slots, this has to be done first. It will take a few runs to fill those slots. They'll learn a lot by just participating. I wish I had an SG to "learn" this through. That's the best way to figure this out.

The next layer is where the craziness comes. The crafting of the slots. If you get a good strategy for this please post. The inf/infamy required for some of these is enormous. It definitely leans to the Veteran players who have billions of INF/infamy stacked. This was my biggest concern yesterday. I can't pay 400,000,000 to craft each of these slots.

Honestly, this arrangment I think is the best design yet, it rewards patience. I did the previous 12 Alpha slots in a week but I was unhappy with the result and now I had to consume some of them to get higher but with theses slots we get power enhancements. I look forward to this.

Can shards be converted to threads? How many shards equal a thread?

Personally, I don't think it's the team teleporter....it's the users. They quit so easily, they just want victory with no challenges. Please take me off of the list for Friday. I opened my 4 slots yesterday but I will not be able to slot them by Friday night.

I give the devs credit on this one. They create new everything for this level, the insane amount infamy/influence needed to craft, the incarnate xp, the treads and this obscure salvage and I can't use the shards or notices/favors I've been stacking up for the past few months either. A total reset.

I will look at this another time. I want to bring all of my other toons to Alpha level so I can have the maximum flexibility when I start this and I just want to learn more about these new components. This is just too much of for me at this time. I'll be online this weekend but not running these two Trials.

Edit: Every 20 hours, 10 shards can convert to 10 threads. You'll take a 50% penalty to do it more often.

I hear ya, TKKID. I ran through two today and I got enough threads to unlock the slots but I have some work to do to(build up more incarnate XP). I like the teleport feature. i20 looks complex for the incarnate stuff.

Smart, I used to wait until the weekend to do but I had to hustle hard yesterday because I couldn't get on a team that could finish the TF on the Villain side Sunday. Now I will run them earlier in the week just to get it out of the way and give myself time...just in case.

I just the update through the NCSOFT launcher. I can get the update but I haven't tried to load the game since the servers are down.

My question, when I started the ncsoft laucher I get the trickle down but if I do the "update" is that different? I did the latter( both EU and NA at the same time) and I was done in about 10 minutes.
