Yes it does sound fun! It could go along with train missions that actually happen on the train!

Quote:I agree completely. They can do many things, but very few of them well or efficiently. As we all know Kheldians suffer from a severe lack of slots. To get a tri-form build working is a pain in the tentacles. My suggestion is "simple" (conceptually, maybe not technically): give the bonus powers granted by the alternate forms TWO starting slots instead of just one. That would go a long way towards making the forms useful right out of the box, and of course it would make building kheldians a bit easier.
Quote:Finally I'd love it if kheldians could be as desireable on a team as the spiders are. I don't know what can be done about that short of making each kheldian grant an xp bonus to non-kheldians on the same team for putting up with them.
While more slots could help, perhaps we need a more fundamental fix to the base template from the start. And no, I really don't know specifically what to tweak, just that something does need to be fixed.
Alternatively, perhaps we could get an alternate Hero Epic. Maybe "Hero Corps" or something like it, wouldn't fix the Khelds, but it could give us a more rounded Heroic Epic. -
Quote:Opps forgot one.. I have suggested this before but it never hurts to squeek LOUD and LONG. :-D
Do something with the costume missions at 20, 30 and 40.. as they stand they are nothing but a bunch of street hunts and most people do one of two things. . . <Snip!>
While you're at it. . . Add a new slot and costume mission at level 50! Call it your EPIC costume or whatever, with perhaps some level 50 exclusive costume parts. -
Absolutely we need to revamp, but not to the exclusion of new content. I think a balance can be found. As the games storyline progresses, some older content will be come. . . Well "Old" really. Classic intro arcs for new toons have been played and replayed so many times that they have lost their magic. Many players have been bringing in new toons over and over since the games inception and those players really deserve new paths. We should logically be able to assume that some of these arcs which have been completed so often are now accomplished facts in game history and those contacts are on to dealing newer and bigger threats, arising from their original missions. Older established toons should be able to do both the new "Old" and old "Old" arcs via flashback. . .
New contacts and new arcs need to be integrated into the system as well, to provide completely new paths as well to reflect the "New" history.
Thats my opinion anyway. -
I still want to see travel powers expanded by two more tiers.
At roughly level 30ish you could take "Map Travel". IE: Click on a spot on the map and Run/Jump/Fly/Teleport there instantly.
At roughly Level 40ish you could take "Zone Travel". IE: Any Zone you have previously traveled too (Providing you can go there now with regards to alignment) you click the power and a pull down menu allows you to select the zone to Run/Jump/Fly/Teleport to instantly. . . -
I would love to see an alien origin, and perhaps a few Alien Costumes/Body Types. A classic Grey maybe or a Reptilian who needs minimal clothing with perhaps some belts or such. The Superman or Starfire type. (Starfire can ALMOST be done). . .

Quote:Thats really very clever! It would never have occurred to me to do that, though now I will!Just email big def insps to yourself. You can stack another 20 insps that way for longer fights. I just put EoEs there but to each their own.
Still though, another row of insp slots would be awesome for my weaker toons who have to eat insps like candy just to stay in the fight. I would gladly trade merits for those slots, Vanguard or otherwise. -

Try soloing an AV or EB with a defender without a dozen purples! I don't run Uber toons, I am not the king of slotting, I don't do pre-design mids, I can't afford to slot crafted rare sets. I do really like to play though and at times the only way to complete a mission without all the other BS is with as many purples as you can carry, and even then I may need to refill on the way back from the hospital a time or two. . . .
More space for Insps would help me a lot! -
I agree with and have suggested many of these things myself. Of them all #8 is the only one I could care less about.
-
Dude! I so totally want this! Going up against EB or AVs I can never cram in enough purples!
-
It would be nice, at least once in a while, to have mention in the newspaper or in TV Vignettes when completing a special Mission Arc. Nothing overly excessive, just something along the lines of "So and So ($ your toon) defeated XYZ in a titanic battle today over such and such (Mission arc objective) resulting in (notoriety, infamy or acclaim)" It would have the image of your toon with some extra text of the event and circumstances involved.
Not really so different from the animations / story telling sequences in some missions. It would only happen on the completion of missions pivotal to an arc or series. Really just an expansion of the NPC dialog that often occurs when you hit some of the games milestones. Yes it would not really add all that much in real game value, except for perhaps a feeling of accomplishment and a warm fuzzy for the recognition, particularly so if others beside yourself were able to see it in the papers or on the news. . . -
Despite (or including) my previous posts there are sooooo many things I want to add to this list! The Midnighter Club really really needs added zones, not just to the past but to other alternate reality pasts. There are so many suggestions in this thread that all deserve a spot. Old West, Victorian Steam Punk, Egyptian, Feudal Japan, Prehistoric Dinoville. And what about futures and alternate futures? Yes please! A Reichsman/5th Column reality. A more magical world controlled by The Circle of Thorns, the Dark Panthian, Dark Earth and Snakes. The beauty of alternate realities is that many maps could be recycled with minor tweaks.
So many other good ideas in this thread too. If we had some forum wizard willing to spend the time and effort, then perhaps they could all be compiled into one updatable list. *Bats eyes at the forum Gurus* -
Quote:I had not caught this before until tonight, but Massively had that tidbit posted in their article on the NYCC.Originally Posted by Massively dot ComAncillary and patron power pools are currently not planned for customization, either with alternate animations or color, but they are being looked into. The helicopters will not see unification like the monorails and ferries. While there will be three more available powers when Fitness becomes an inherent pool, no additonal enchancement slots will be added.

Quote:Train Missions that actually take place on the train would totally rock!1) I'd set the Trains so that randomly a "spot mission" would occur where the train was either being taken over by para-military (Council, 5th Column, Arachnos, etc) or the passengers were being robbed (Hellions, Skulls, Freakshow, etc) or someone had glitched the controls so it was going to go faster and faster until it crashed. In any case the map is the train interior and you need to make your way to the conductor's cab to complete it. This would only happen when you're not on a team and not set up to run a timed mission.
I would also like to see more Midnighter zones, like expanding Cimerora, and adding the Old West and Mideval zones that have so often been brought up here and in other threads. It would even be a good gateway to a Prehistoric Dinosaur zone.
An Ouro "Far Future" zone could rock too! -
Quote:Absolutely, I agree with this 100%. Revamp, expand and advance all of these zones with fresh content.1. Shadow Shard revamp and co-op
2. Dark Astoria
3. Boomtown
4. Eden
5. Creys Folly
Revamps; making old stuff new for everyone.
I would like add The Hollows and Perez Park to that list too.
In particular the Shadow Shards have potential for major expansion with mini world-lets, co-op and perhaps even gates to other alien worlds.
It is well past time to begin the reclamation of Dark Astoria as well! In another thread someone once suggested doing Ouro "Flash back" type missions to help tell the story of the fall of Dark Astoria. That could be tied in and used to lead up to the whole zone revamp. Particularly if it were configured to have content for all levels of play.
As for completely new zones, I would like to see some transitional zones with content more for Rogues & Vigilantes.
Mr_Grey mentioned some new Rogue Isles not controlled by Arachnos, I love this idea! I also fully support the popular moonbase concept.
Undersea zones have been brought up before, while I would rather not be swimming around, a doomed underwater "Atlantis" style city between the Rogue Isles and Paragon City would rock. It would be perfect for a Rogue & Vigilante zone. -
I would love to see a Council / Sky Raiders merger to team up against the 5th Column, perhaps with one zone dedicated to be a major battleground for the duration of the story in game time.
-
All in all I like it. Clones or Duplicates fits right in with comicbook tradition. Pet customization, or at least alternate pet selections, is a dream of mine and will always have my support!
-
I agree with the intent of this suggestion. We need to be able to rename groups.
-
I could see it now, going to a "Hiring Hall" and recruiting help. In the Rogue Isles You might get some Arachnos troops, Goldbrickers, or random Villians. In Paragon City they could be minor Heroes or Longbow. . .
The longer this thread has survived the more I am warming to this idea. -
Quote:This is better than any of the other hero patron ideas from the start simply by not being related to a boss.
You know I kinda like that concept, tying them to origins makes more sense to me than trying to tie them to a heroic patron. Perhaps it could be taken even further with unique tweeks by class. . . -
That would be very cool! They are destroyable targets in Mayhem Missions, why not throw-able too? Make sense to me and it honors classic comicbook tradition!
-
Yes he could do any of those things though none of them would let him do a TF solo at present, OR, if this ability were adopted he could hire some help!
Like I said, I have no objections to this feature, but I would not be likely to use it myself.
