  3. Victory is an amazing server to learn the ropes. Started playing there 4 months ago and have not looked back. While I am still pretty noobtastic there were some really great players that helped me learn the ropes and how to be an energy blaster (more importantly controlling kb)

  4. My wife and I are in a coalition with another married couple. I to am attempting to learn pvp for fun and laughs, and while I am not expecting to win any battles I think it would still be good times! I do try to join in on 3-4 TF's a week (work permitting), hope to see you in game.

    FPS issue

    I suggest scrubbing the driver out and try a slightly older one and see what happens.

    I am running a P4 and a 7900GS and while I do not have any troubles playing on maxed out settings, I will say that when I updated my video card driver last week I have seen some random oddities happening. I went back to an older driver and everything was great again.



    (I play on a good ol crt monitor running at 1600 resolution)

  8. I know Arma use's a simular DRM. It starts off fine, and as you play, well you could be the best FPS'er in the world but you would fail to hit the broad side of the barn! Really funny when the pirates popped in asking why their aim sucked so bad.

    Noone said every build needs it, nor have I seen it even hinted, or even debated, all that was said was it was nice...but since you brought it up...
    You would need 5 other enhancements of recharge 7.5% for the SotM to be useless in that aspect. (see laws of 5)
    also 4 slots Extreme gets you Dmg 2% were as 4 slots SotM gets you Dmg 3%.
    Yes Extreme gets you a 1.5% recov but that is something that is easy to slot for tbh.

    Fact is we do not know that much about how he plays, or what he is looking for in a final build. He is here asking questions and getting feed back, so why you say my build will not help him is beyond me bud. I mean no disrepect as you have obviously been around a long time and give some good advice, but you seem a bit eliteist and off putting.

    As I said I have been playing this Nrg/Elec build for the last 3 months, it is pretty solo friendly, so any questions you may have I hope I will be able to help.

    Tooting my own horn? Not the case at all.
    Just sharing a build that is working out for me here. It has the powers in the order they were picked, when he gets time to learn about slotting, that information is there too. Just trying to help him out.

    I will be the first to admit my build is far from great, but I figure there was nothing wrong to show him what he can look forward to. And prehaps it will help him with what questions to ask.

  17. Now that we have access to Repulsion Bomb and Melt Armor it seems both of these Epic sets become even more powerful and useful.

    Do you want more Damage/Mitigation/with a Debuff
    Do you want more Defence/Damage/Mitigation

    I know it is all a matter of preferance and play style so I wanted to everyone's thoughts and what you all feel is the better Epic.

    For myself Force is needed for when I solo Nrg/Elec who is pure range
    I have my secondary power set more team friendly and will be using Flame
  18. With Energy Manipulation having the secondary effect of "Foe Disorient" for some powers, how about this for an idea.

    Sniper Blast (chance of KB & Foe Disorient)
    Power Push (chance of KB)

    Nova (KB and Foe Disorient)

    I feel this here would help with the resists found late game and add a bit more control over powers and give it a bit of mitigation without losing its roots. Take into consideration with long casting times and not hitting the hardest I feel above would work wonders for EB

    OR even a better yet, Have the KB do bounus Damage! Depending on the range and if they fell off a cliff or hit a wall

    Build Help

    I took some of your advice and here is were I currently am at. I will more then likely be dropping Gaus from BU and using those slots elsewhere, same with End, and dropping one of the mirales from healing. Just need to do some more number crunching..
    Though I do Like the set bonus's I will be playin around a bit more to see what else I can do
    (NOTE TEMP Invul and Tita Coating will more then likely not be slotted with sets, just tossed them in there for now. Personal Force and Up are my main worry for now as I do plan on one day gettin purples)

    Build Help

    Thank you kindly for your advice.

    I had wanted to do my build with two 6 slotted thunder strikes on power bolt and power plast until I got up to lvl 50 however I was told Dev was better and I was a fool for not using it, which I did not quiet understand, kind of why I asked here.

    Aim I currently Do have 6 slotted Adjust but had been told to switch it to Gauss
    I have Build Up currently 5 slotted with Gaus

    Leadership and Tactics I have never used, currently I have some melee and teleport friend, but I had been informed incase I head to pvp zones It is useful to pick up stalkers (I do not intend on pvping anytime soon, but just incase) And have no idea how it works or how to slot it.

    Hasten I have currently 3 slotted, however many builds I see on the blaster threads are two slotted (but like I said I currently have it 3 slotted)

    Build Help

    Hence why I am asking for help.
    I am trying to Stay away from Melee and being a blapper.
    I am only in mid 30's, am a new player and I refuse to farm AE. I am trying to learn, and have read quiet a bit and have asked for help when I first started in a forum post. However, noone replied.
    Most of the Set's I put in have Recovery/Rng Def/Acc and Dmg.
    I tried to follow the rules of 5 and ED. But I know there is something I am messing up. So, pick it apart if you want and help a new guy out.

    I hear always about the soft caps, where can I get a list of these?
