I'm sure it's possible... you probably want a ton of defense and +HP, plus some recharge. I'd think a Fire/Mental would be better though, since Mental gives you a nice regen boost power and a PBAoE that stuns minions. It looks a lot more survivable.

On the other hand, /Fire does have more damage if you can somehow survive in melee range. I'd personally go with Fire/Mental for true solo and Fire/Fire for dual boxing with a Sonic Defender.

Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM

I farm with my fire/fire regularly. If you're willing to make the investment in ios it's my opinion that it's the best blaster for farming. Just the raw damage it can dish out makes it wonderful for farms.

Solo I run laps around the wall in Cim. Team farming is real easy. Set your toon to follow the kin and you're golden. Fulcrum shift on a fire/kin running hot feet is pretty amazing. Fulcrum shift on a fire/fire blaster running hot feet and aura is ridiculous.

Here is my current build.

Well, technically, any character can farm. Some builds will be more productive than others though. I farm on my fire/ice blaster. It's the character I enjoy playing, so when I do decide to farm, he's the one I use.

sorry to sound like the newb around here but I have a question. When i played wow farm meant to kill the same monster over and over again trying to get an item/exp/etc. From what i've read on this forum it has a negative connotation associated with it and i'm not sure why. So what exactly is the difference in meanings between games?

They typically mean (in this scenario) to run a mission over and over getting xp/influence/prestige/drops.

Here its repeating content over over to gain rewards, badges, inf. xp, drops.

Why is farming disliked on the boards ? I have heard everything from it destroys the game for newbs, makes it impossible to buy things on the market, forces the developers to nerf content the posters wanted to farm themselves, I am sure someday someone will post its responsible for the hole in the ozone layer and rising sea levels.

My best guess why farming is disliked by some people on the forums, is that many people came to this game because it was more or less lootless originally, and the introduction of loot and everything that goes with it offends them.

My guess, now I know I am still new here.
Farming Cim and TF's and mishs are one thing

Then there are those that were manipulating AE and farming there and that is something totaly differnt?
