Quote:If lost or stolen. Cards reissued for expiration dates nearing are almost always the same number. If it's the same number, then that's likely the case (I thought you were supposed to get a new number when you got a new card issued?).
This. I think if my current card is still in my possession (I have a horrendous rate of losing them in the most peculiar places until I get a new one issued) so I am forced to relearn the numbers... XDQuote:Maybe if you report the credit/debit card lost or stolen. If the card just expires, you should get a new card with the same account number and a new expiration date. They may update the CVV number or whatever it's called, but not the account number. I had a credit card with the same number for close to 20 years before I finally cancelled the account.
To the OP : Also, have you tried Pay-Pal? I think all transactions at NCSoft take that now (except the in-game store, but that's irrelvent for you for a while I would guess.) -
Nitpick. There is no "Dr. Who".
He simply is "The Doctor". And he's not a doctor. -
Recommendation : If you start him his own account, (https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/Store.pl) I recommend either the Architect Edition w/ Magic pack (that one lets you choose either Tech/Cyborg or Magic), Good Vs. Evil, or Mac [Client is released, Celebration] Edition. In that order. GvE gives the Jumpjets/jump pack as well as the pocket D VIP card, and mac edition gives some nice costume bits and the mission porter - mac edition is just a name, by the way

Quote:I dont think they ever even announced "the first tier of the incarnate system" as the AlphanSlot outsiden of beta, to be honest. I know there has been speculation down in the GR forum....I seem to be the only one who has no idea what this "Alpha Slot" is...
Question : Will the incarnate system still require GR? -
-
You can fight one or two aspects of Rularuu in the Shard TFs, IIRC.
Hamidon's spawn isn't announced, IIRC. -
Not personally... but it is way out of date, FYI.
-
yeah, but there was still a lot of complaints that it was being fixed. When it was first announced, there were a lot of people complaining "How where they supposed to know it was unique since they could slot multiples of it?" despite the [Unique] tag in the name.
-
So can anyone copy/paste from facebook the info about his Origin? Or is that from somewhere else that I am missing?
-
First of all, it's a unintended side effect of the code.
Second of all, the only time it's a happened involved the Gaussian's Build Up proc - which was TITLED unique, but allowed multiple slottings anyway. Personally I didn't have much sympathy for those who got upset when this was fixed, but then I assumed the bug was the fact it wasn't flagged unique, not that the title said it was unique.
Anyway, that's the only example of it happening, and as I recall the developers did issue a respec before hand (being nice). -
Remembered one from work today.
Guy had bought new work pants, Dickies brand, and those brand new can stand up on their own.
In comes the mother of two, who feels them, then states:
"I hate stiff Dickies". -
Quote:By the way, a Io being marked unique has nothing to do with how it works.I thought that was how it worked. Just wanted to make sure before making the investment. Thanks alot for the feedback!

Unique merely means you can only slot one per build, and if a pre-existing IO is marked unique, all but one will disappear from a build. -
Yes, sorry if that wasn't clear. I was indeed referring to bit that collected ALL rep comments posted to you in the UserCP.
-
Red CAN work, somewhat, but only in BOLD LETTERS. On the villain skin, it doesn't show up that well without the bolding.

Quote:People kept leaving bad comments (I think some idiots actually thought the mods couldn't see who left what, despite it being anonymous from our POV) and ignore didn't stop people from commenting on you (if you had them on ignore, you would still see their rep comments). Between the two, it was disabled.Sadly, you have to go to EACH and EVERY post and click the little scales to see the comments (and if there weren't any, it just tells you your current rep points). I stopped looking a while ago.
Your +/- rep value is based on your rep, post count/1000 (iirc), +1 per full registered year. So my rep flags have, ignoring my rep, 19 points of rep. Also, I think neg rep is also halved (it's easier to gain than lose rep).Quote:Partly. The amount of effect you have is based on your rep, number of forum posts and years since you registered on the forums.
Also, I want to say there is a "rep comparison" between you and whoever you rep, so if you have 0 rep, and you rep someone with major rep... it doesn't count :P
Decent amount of details out there if you Google "vBulletin Rep System" -
Quote:It's a change since they opened the time capsule - when they updated the cape mission, it became mandatory to do in order to receive the aura mission. This must be a new thing, possibly with the new Abandon Mission/7 mission limit in the last issue?
I know for a fact I've been offered both missions last year, and only run the auras one, on several different heroes.
So, you USED to be able to do either once you hit 30 - now you must do the cape first even if you do not want it in order to get auras. -

Quote:You missed the important part of that phrase. OTHER players, not yourself.EDIT: Hell, isn't this against most game company's codes of conducts, including Blizzard's? "Code of Conduct - NO POSTS CONTAINING PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT OTHER PLAYERS."
Well, we have a few WoW-quality trolls, but yeah, this describes most of ours.Quote:Absolutely. When people complain about trolls in City of Heroes, I tell them "You do realize that a troll in City of Heroes is someone who uses the small spoon to eat soup, right? That we faint from the indignity of it?"
In many areas, jobs are scarce right now. And the problem of this is, it's not that they won't know you for you, but rather apply what are often harsh sterotypes to you because of a misconception on a hobby.Quote:[...]
If someone won't hire you or date you because you play games, then... their loss. They'll find that alot of others do too, so their choices will become narrowed.

Maybe its better if everyone just knows you for the entirety of your personality. If they don't like one aspect of that, then whats the use bothering with them?
This is a big reason why Blizzards thing is a bad idea.Quote:In the current economic climate, there's little chance of such consequences for employers. Playing MMOs has retained its stigma (as KaliMagdalene points out) even as WoW has carried the genre into mainstream pop culture.
That case wouldn't apply. It's not a 3rd party trying to force Blizzard to reveal real names. And private forums don't have all the free speech protections anyway.Quote:Quite the opposite: True freedom of speech may very well require anonymity, in the same way that the secret ballot promotes a fair democracy. Exemplars of anonymous free speech include Common Sense and the Drapier's Letters, whose authorships were initially concealed, or the Letters of Junius, whose author is still unknown.
While I'm not suggesting that the nerfing of pallies is on the same level as fighting government corruption or fomenting revolution against tyranny, but anonymous free speech on the Internet is recognized by US courts.
But mainly, the fact it isn't some other company trying to force Blizzard to reveal that info makes the case really not apply. -
Biggest reason for using an underscore in a bind or macro in a command name is for your legibility.

Quote:The only difference I really see is the metallic texture the static, never-been-in-combat model of Blue Steel lacks. It's not like the developers have ever updated NPC costumes before (No offense, but Posi, put the helmet back on, please?Actually it's not, It's similar to but not identical to Blue Steel's shields and and is even still usable in AE. As I recall one of the devs said it was added to the game to be made into an unlockable, they just hadn't put in the unlock yet.

But unlike teaming, those last for a very limited amount of time. Not a constant max like teaming with Kins and such.
As for the damage caps, Scrappers at base damage (100% of 500% cap) are about a brute at 240% (+140%) of the 850% cap. If I remember right, a brute at the damage cap is about equal to a scrapper at 600% (so another 100% beyond the scrapper damage cap). -

Quote:The trick to getting print screen to work on any screen other than the "the world" is to, as Kitsune points out, to paste it into a image editor (so paint, GIMP, etc) after hitting print screen.Well, always wondered how to make screenshots on those screens. PrtScr isn't working...
As for devs saying it works for them... Well, I hope they can be convinced the problem is real.
