Quote:One of the things I like about what I saw wss, for the US Dub, at least (I think), was the bloopers at the end where they have the voice actors going of on monologues and mistakes...and added to the ol' netflix queue.
Yet one of the many anime that I've never seen, but after reading about it, looks like one of the few that may appeal to me.

Not the G19?

If you use vent, it supports the LCD screen for incomming, leaving, who's talking, etc. Last I used Teamspeak it required a 3rd party plugin. -
Quote:And the fear from dark miasma has only the Negitive attack vector.Just a quick caveat, Jade: not all attacks have both a positional and type, though the exceptions are rare. For instance, a decent amount of Mind Control attacks only have a type, but no positional attack vector.
Also, damage types do not decide the attack types, although they generally match up. You could make a melee/fire vector attack that was ranged and delt only cold if you wanted to. In practice, though, we get things like Fireball, AOE/fire attack that deals smashing/fire damage. -
Quote:Short version: servers don't work like that.
- One of the factors to keep in mind is that Microsoft's server presence is pretty low, with everybody from Netcraft to Top500 Supercomputers knocking Microsoft's ability to provide stable software that requires little regular maintenance. There's a reason why major financial institutions like the London Stock Exchange, and many Wall-Street brokerages in the US, don't use Microsoft products. There's also a reason that most other MMO providers (such as Blizzard and EA / Mythic) generally run their MMO's on *nix type systems.
First, wouldn't one of the big reasons places like LSE, etc, avoid Microsoft be due to one of the side effects of Windows saturation - namely, the numbers of hacks/virus/etc. out there targeting Windows - or do you count that as part of the "stability" issue?
And also, while NCSoft does their maintenance more often then blizzard, Blizzard also takes down for most/all of a day, from what I recall, when they run maintenance. - One of the factors to keep in mind is that Microsoft's server presence is pretty low, with everybody from Netcraft to Top500 Supercomputers knocking Microsoft's ability to provide stable software that requires little regular maintenance. Quote:If you find it in the wild, or buy from the NCSoft store, the Architect Edition comes with a free choice of either the Magic or Cyborg booster.Oh ok...thanks a lot! I'm just returning after a lengthy hiatus and so its like a lot of this is all new to me again! Booster packs are definitely new..didnt have those last time I played!
Mac edition doesn't care what computer you are on, either. -
The only other one, IIRC, is Munitions Mastery for Blasters, so AR blasters that left behind the frankengun can have it match.

Quote:Are you seeing green quills, or the green POISON "effect". Difference. While very good, these don't hide ALL of the effects on your own character, some will still be visible.
For example, you can still see the green quills shooting on a spine scrapper and the little floating balls from one of the fire or thermal shields.
Interestingly until power customization was implemented the quills were hidden with /suppressclosefx. Now I only play my fire/spine scrapper in short doses.

Also, /unbind <keyname> resets the key to defualts binding. /bind <keyname> nop will bind the key to do nothing.

Quote:Just jumped into some greys with BA on - only tohit messages I saw were misses. it was real quick before work, here's a copy of the chat log - http://www.verbthis.net/hit.txtI notice your last session showed 134 misses and 9 hits, which implies your entire recorded session generated 143 ticks of Blazing Aura, with a tick being one pulse of BA hitting one target. That's like the number of BA ticks you'd generate in about a minute or two of game play. That doesn't sound right.
Also, my Blazing Aura does seem to be hitting targets at a much higher than 5% hit rate when I watch the actual damage. -
Quote:Actually... the 35 praetorian would be easier :PWell also to be fair I knew somebody who had a level 19 character with around 600 badges a couple of years ago. If you know anything about badges in this game you'd realize that a level 19 character with 600 badges a couple of years ago was just about as tediously difficult as it would likely be to have a level 35 Praetorian today.

Never underestimate people experimenting with "special projects" like that. If a player can't wait for future Issues to properly handle the high level Praetorian problem then that's their deal, not the game's. -
Quote:Make sure you've /bugged it.soon as i got my elec to the conductive aura stage i found i started getting headaches myself. Really bad ones some even turning to migraines. Tried changing the colours etc but still get them so i gave up on the character for now til we can get some aura supress customization for it.
Thing is i team a lot and it happens also when someone on the team has this power so the slash commands won't help me much
Hoping the devs get a fix for this soon, i REALLY want to properly try the elec set out without having to log after 10 mins

Quote:Short Story :Been away for awhile and forgot how certain IOs work as far as exempting down. Can someone point me in the right direction on how the stealth unique, BotZ kb, LotG 7.5 IOs and etc work when buying them for a lv50 toon that runs low level TFs? Thanks in advance.
If it says "Chance to" or mentions a duration of 120 seconds, you must use the power it is in to trigger it, but level of the IO doesn't matter beyond it's set's set bonuses and min. slotting level.
If it doesn't mention "chance to" or a duration of 120 seconds, it provides a set bonus lost if you exemplar 4 or more level's below it's level - but you don't have to have the power accessible to benefit. -
Quote:Which is why your brand new Alpha slot comes with a complementary 3rd Build option!Unless it's significantly changed from the preview we got before, it won't change my builds at all. It doesn't function below level 50, which means any build that might ever exemplar can't rely on the effects of that slot. For farmers or those who only run TFs and such at 50 it'll be a great boon. I always plan on being able to do other content though.

Quote:This post is epic. All correct info... but still fails. There's a bug that somehow un-flags your account for the Epic Archtypes. All you have to do is log on with your level 50 character, and then go back to character creation. That should open them up again for you.
Also, they lowered the level requirement from level 50 to level 20, so really any character above 20 will re-flag your account again upon log-in. Keep in mind that the Villain Epic's (Soldiers of Arachnos) depend on having a villain character. So, a level 20 hero will only unlock Kheldians, and a level 20 villain will only unlock Arachnos.
Oh, and I forgot to give you your obligatory welcome back. So uh... Welcome back! =D
Congrats on your Epic Almost-a-Win Fail, Smash :P
(We still love you in a creepy way anyway). -

Well, D&D runs off the "Human Brain" game engine which can have a lot of flexibility.
-
I was meaning your to-hit and actual accuracy for your charactr as a whole, not just blazing aura.

Yor game and forum logins are the same. Are you sure that you are downloading/installing the correct version - North America vs Europe - for your trial type?

Depending on the number of enemies you where facing, BA was probably eating up your misses. What was your overall/ laverage to hit and hit rate was.
Although if you haven't throwing in an Acc SO or IO in there would help your overall to-hit as it would increase your streakbreaker hits, most likely. -
Quote:So you figure out the defense system and you think you know something about the to-hit? MADNESS!Turn on chat logging (there's a way to do this in the options menu), make sure tohit rolls are being logged in at least one visible tab, and when it happens again PM me an excerpt of the entire sequence surrounding the problem. Trust me when I say the odds are very good there will be a logical explanation for the apparent problem that is not due to a broken random number generator or a malfunctioning tohit system. This is something I know a little something about.

Quote:That would work/make sense on something like, say, a Calzone golem, spraying everyone in range with boiling hot marinara sauce on every hit (sorry, first example that came to mind - it was made for D&D 3.5) but for a counter attack just against the attacker? Your method would be AoE.I was thinking something more along the lines of PBAoE toggle which uses the 'suppress on hit' mechanics of stealth powers, but instead of suppressing one of the power's effects, it grants a temporary power to the target. I'm not exactly sure if the reverse of suppress-on-hit is possible (suppress-until-hit), but if so, it would be basically a PBAoE damage when you get hit (get hit, grant a temporary power to all enemies in range which does self damage).
Then again, now that I think about it, if you could do suppress-until-hit, there's no need to grant a temporary power when you could just suppress-until-hit a damage tick.
Probably the simplest method would be the modify every attack out there (note I said simple, not easy :P) for a containment like effect triggered by a unique status that someone with a counter attack power would self-apply. -
Not sure - can't recall if the tele-frag attacks get fury (the "attack" teleports you then drops a psuedopet at your feet).
EDIT : looking at Paragonwiki - it calls out that fury doesn't work for Lightning Rod, but doesn't mention fury at all for Shield Charge. Considering they are the same kind of attack, my presumption would be no fury for SC until proven otherwise. -
Quote:Um, entities which use the new Fiery Embrace all had their attacks changed to allow for it, as I recall. Powers gained the bonus in stages (first it was tanker primaries only, then PPs were added, then APPs, etc during beta.)But if you consider Castles recent change to Fiery Embrace you don't necessarily need to change every critter & player power in the game to allow it. You just give the player an aura power which inflicts a negative Fiery Embrace proc affect to enemy attacks within range.
Obviously I've no idea if that's what Castle was talking about as being Cycle intensive or he was referring to another, older, more correct way to simulate Reflect damage.
