There's a bug that somehow un-flags your account for the Epic Archtypes. All you have to do is log on with your level 50 character, and then go back to character creation. That should open them up again for you.
Also, they lowered the level requirement from level 50 to level 20, so really any character above 20 will re-flag your account again upon log-in. Keep in mind that the Villain Epic's (Soldiers of Arachnos) depend on having a villain character. So, a level 20 hero will only unlock Kheldians, and a level 20 villain will only unlock Arachnos.

So I have a level 26 villian as well, logged into her, went back to create character screen and they are still locked? I even logged out/closed game too.
ALSO just to get clear; praetorians CANNOT do epic archetypes right off the bat even though I have a 50 hero? <3

I have a question along these lines as well. I started 3 chars in Praetoria, got each one to lvl 20, got the message, "Epic archetype unlocked" and moved them all either to red or blue side. I still can't start any epic archetype characters on that account.
So the question I have is, does the character have to start on the red/blue side and make it to 20?

Ahh thanks, figured it was something to that effect.
If the OP is still having probs making a EAT theres one thing to try.
Get a lvl19-49 toon either side, lvl it by 1 lvl and go train. BAM, epics unlocked for the side you are on.

Have not played in awhile, just reactivated and bought the expansion. I have a level50 hero toon. I wanted to create a warshade or peacebrigner praetorian but i couldn't? Do i have to hit a certain level cap with a praetorian now to unlock this or what? Thanks for any explanations.. new to this again xD
