So, um how does it work? Or does anybody knnow yet...

It seems I'm always playing outsiders in one fashion or another, also none of my characters are just regular human males.

PAX Lawbringer - Lawbug from the future, pursueing a criminal through an illegal time warp he's stuck here unless he can convince Oroborous to help him return. Pity his translator has so much trouble with the archaic Anglish spoken in Paragon City.

Progenitor Ch'Torx - Criminal Cult Leader fleeing from the above Lawbug. His hope is to alter the future by stopping mankind before they get offplanet and steal the heritage of a galaxay spanning empire that rightfully should belong to HIS people...

Rogue Rikti - Being a Rikti defector turned hero in Paragon City is no fun and just TRY and stroll past any Vanguard building and see what happens.

Titanium Steele- Stacy Steele, paralyzed after being attacked by the Clockwork King's Paladin she volunteered for experimental 'treatment' and woke up in a giant Nigh-Invulnerable Super Strong Cyborg Body with supermodel looks and her ditzy blonde brain inside.

Amazing Arc Wielder- Hero-Corp part-timer and owner operator of Atlas Park Appliance Repair.

Sword Maiden- Sure those twin blades you found in Oranbega saved your life when the CoT kidnapped you. Too bad they are cursed and slowly drain your soul unless you keep them fed with blood. Guess its a good thing there are so many criminals in Paragon City the cops won't notice if some go missing...

Scarlet Toxin- Your bum mutant genes make you allergic to everything! Good thing you're a train biochemist and geneticist. Too bad trying to cure your mutantcy cost so much you've had to turn to a life of crime to support your research.

Clockwork Bride- Titanium Steele from a universe where the Clockwork King transformed everyone into creatures like himself starting with the broken paralyzed body of his first victim. No-body could have guessed they would fall in love and work toether to take over thier world.

Mistress Mindlash- Your mother sold her body and you... well you sold your soul or rather you temptly offer to sell your soul. To any and all demonic forces willing to grant you more and more power. But how long can you keep them at bay, sacrificing the souls of your victims to appease the appetites of your dark 'creditors'...

Freaky Flora- The devouring earth twisted your body made you more plant than human but they made your mind crystal clear. Mankind MUST pay for its treatment of the planet. If you have to work with Arachnos to achive your goals well one day they will feel yours and the planets wrath too!

As last years Virtues Server and overall winner for Ms Rogue Isles, I'd like to congratulate everyone involved. PERC for organizing this and to all the participants for putting yourselves out there for judging. Its a brave thing. To the winners good job!

I know I choose my origin based on how the origin power fits with my character and sometimes it makes easy sense and sometimes it makes a better character. for example

PAX Lawbringer is a post human cop from the far future, and it makes sense he would have a sleep dart to help capture criminals, although his powers come from nano-devices grafted into his body science still fits as an origin.

Scarlet Toxin however is a Poison/Merc MM whos "powers" come from her knowlege of chemitsry and biology. Sounds like a natural right? But I couldn't pass up an origin power that makes its victims stop and grab their throats and choke for a character who powers come from "tossed vials of toxic chemicals". So Scarlet has a mutant origin. So I built that into her character. Sure she's a mutant but her mutantcy is a form of severe total allergy syndrome. Forced to live in a biohazrd suit cut off from the rest of the world. No wonder she became a villian who really really hates those snazzy mutants with thier flashy powers!

As for the magic origin I use it where appropriate but I though people picked it becuase of all the origin powers its secondary effect of -def was more usefull longer in the game.

Synopsis: Join legendary Dawn Patrol founder Alistair Sutton and rescue the King of England from Eisensturm and the Axis Storm Korps! ~ This is a beta version of the first mission in an arc that highlights lesser known parts of the Dawn Patrol's history in the game lore. Custom Group- Storm Korps No AV's but 3 EB that spawn in sequence and an EB Ally Alistair Sutton. So far soloable depending on the AT but a full team may find it more rewarding. Feedback is greatly welcome. The completed arc will be used as a "training simulation"" to run with prospective members of Virtue's own Dawn Patrol SG.

Estimated Time to Play: 30 minutes or less.

Well its not SS flight but I have noticed that when using hover if I turn on my GvE jump jet I can move at the JJ speed until it expires...

"Dammit Gordon I don't care if it looks like rain, sleet, snow or the second comming! Take the truck and get over to King's Row, that laundrymat contract is whats keeping me able to PAY you!" Joan Darcy sighed as Gordon Whitcombe hoisted his tool belt and left the shop. Just another mid morning at Atlas Park Appliance Repair she thought herself as she turned back to her own work. On the work bench before her a small older portable TV was cracked open and its electronic guts on display like some macbre vivisection of the inanimate. Ever since the Rebellion of Square Woot and the evil genius's use of appliance disguised robots to assault the residents of the Alliance Arms Apartments, including her, Joan had taken both a peverse pleasure and no small amount of additional caution in her daily work in her shop. That caution was evinced by by the presence of her Voltaic Gaunlets sitting in their charging station within arms reach of her. The presence of the large rounded vivid blue toned armored gloves were conforting to her. She used them to project and direct powerful electric fields in her other capacity as the hero known as The Amazing Arc Wielder.

Skillfully Joan located the fault in the TV, a burnt out transistor. She rummaged thorugh shelves of small parts and bits until she found a replacement. A few moments work with a soldering iron and she was done. Through the front shop windows the sky visibly darkened as she worked. It does look like its about to rain cats and dogs she idly thought to herself as she ran the electric screw driver making the final adjustments to the TV's innards.

"Now to see if that's done it." Joan turned the TV around and plugged it into a socket on the work bench. After a brief warm up the TV screen opened to static and an odd humming noise came from speakers. "What the?" Joan adjusted the antenna ariel and switched through all the channels. All were full of snow and static or badly distorted images. Joan performed 'emergency repair procedure #1' as she called it and gave the TV a sharp rap to its sides and then top. Nothing but snow and static now. Joan's attention was pulled from the static images by the increasingly loud noises from outside the shop. Dull thumps in the distance and now a rising wails of sirens. Joan moved to the window and looked out. Emergency vehicles sped past sirens blaring. Suddenly the clouds parted a moment and she could see that across Atlas Park several large shapes were moving purposefully though the air small dots dropping behind them. At that moment the static cleared on the TV and the Channel 4 news anchor Chuck Daniels was worriedly looking at the camera.

"Reports are coming in from across the city, the country, the planet! The RIKTI ARE BACK!" The transmission was interrupted by the strident tone of the emergency broadcast signal and logo. Then the image dissolved into static again. Joan fought hard to control her shuddering body. She had been a young college student during the last invaison that had cost her the lives of her parents. She looked at the TV on the workbench and then over to her Voltaic Gauntlets. Last time she was a victim unable to defend herself or save anybody. Today that was different. Joan ran over to the work bench. The Amazing Arc Wielder had work to do!

Lets see I'm willing to release Fallen Angela and just released Miss Pandemic into the wilds...

And sorry but I'm holding onto Global Disaster and hoping for earth and storm villian power sets... whenever that might be...
