(Disclaimer: I loved the PvPing during the CoV beta. Huge battles, lots of powers every which way and people actually staying and *fighting*, not the bushwacking bonanza I have found since the shine wore off on the newly minted Rogue Isles.)

3) The inverse relationship between a player's self-esteem and his insistence on being a complete pancake.
4) The learning curve and rarity of fellow player tutors to overcome it.

The NCSoft Launcher has an option in one of its menus to auto-close itself after launching a game. Try turning that on - it helped me a bit.
I've had this problem after defragging, uninstalling/reinstalling CoH and even after sacrificing an entire chocolate Easter Bunny to the Launcher Gods. Tastiest sacrifice EVER. -
So lately, I have been clicking my trusty COH icon and the NC Launcher will activate and then open the little Launching Game window. Then it just stops there until I force a close from the task manager. When I click on it a second time, it'll work just fine. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just my karma justifiably coming to get me?

I came up with a set of rules for my teams and task forces. The only reason they're in place is to keep me in check, not the team.
I only have two rules that I follow, and only when making my own teams:
1) Nobody with bad use of caps. I find that players that name themselves using all caps or can't be bothered to use them at all also can't be bothered to be decent human beings in a text environment. There have been exceptions to this, sure, but few and far between.
2) Stalkers need not apply. (Stalkers are a filthy AT. I ain't teaming with no villain that doesn't have sense enough to disregard its own defense.)
Oh, and Samuraiko can always team wth me. She's dreamy. -

What
Festivus 2011, in case you haven't been paying attention. Everybody's welcome, even (*sigh....*) Stalkers! Come bask in that brand of cheer only a spiteful particle of loathing can give you.
When
Friday, December 23rd at 9 PM EST. It's OK to be a few minutes late because you were making a new character, but you might want to wear a jester's cap to blend in.
Where
Mercy Island, at the Festivus Pole at the top of the building just northwest of Arbiter Richard. If for some unfortunate reason you cannot fly or jump up there, I am sure someone will TP you and then gripe about it later.
Why
Stop asking so many questions.
Events
* First, we will have our annual Festivus dinner. Break out your favorite /em eat or /em drink and get cozy.
* As we enjoy our meal of donuts, hot dogs and Enriche, we shall have the Airing of Grievances. Register your complaint about any and all present, and make public the ways they have let you down this year. Topics can include:
- That VG mate of yours and his petless MMs!
- You-know-who filming everything in sight, even when you're TRYING to have alone time on the throne with Angry Birds.
- Scheming people.
- Jerk hackers
- The person sitting to your right
- Redside players bringing up 15 year old Seinfeld jokes and beating them back into the dark ground the jokes came from.
* After we've gotten all THAT off our chests, off we go to Fort Darwin for this year's Feat of Strength: Longbow Olympics!
- Challenge someone to Longbow Punting: See who can knock a red and white feeb the farthest off of the wall!
- Bowling for Longbow: Got an AOE knockback? Then lets see if you can get a spare or even a strike on one of those little squads polluting the walls of our former noob area.
- It's Raining Do-gooders: Are you one of the few, the proud, the Gravity Dominators? Then fire up that Wormhole and let the Longbow fall from the sky for our amusement!
* Festivus Miracles! Surely a special day like this must be LITTERED with examples of the supernatural specialness of our special day. Why, a Festivus miracle could happen at any moment. Don't be shy - point out the miracle that you have just performed or witnessed (Rangle owning up to a plot counts triple if he shows up).
