  1. Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Freedom is the most active for PvP, and Victory has the PvP Boot Camp being ran. I would make your toon on Freedom if I were you.
  3. Rad/Psi, Rad/Sonic, Storm/Psi, Kin/Psi, Kin/Sonic, Cold/Psi, Cold/Sonic, Cold/Dark, FF/Sonic...all good choices.
  4. I'm gonna make a guess here and say hai Vex.
  5. Psyrene

I would really not say I had a defining moment to shape me as a player, but more so a defining Era. It is the Era of the game that shaped me, When good guys were good guys and the bad guys were bad (no cross-over). During a time when 2 million influence was plentiful. The Heroes of Justice and Liberty were a new super group; Loved or Loathed # 34 at the time had a strong alliance to the House of Blackrock # 5. The riders of the apocalypse were an elite group and the unholy requiem was the perpetual Bad Guys. Old School was at its peak and could grief pvp zones better than anyone else in the game.

It wasn’t one moment but many moments and mostly the people I met along the way; the friendships that were forged. Greeblaster who was my old supervisor not only mentored me my professional career but taught the mechanics of how the game works and the technical aspects of it. JC Angelo a kind hearted 60+ woman who created her characters and Super Group to find a way to deal with the loss of her son who was taken from this earth early by cancer. She assisted by giving my Super group a coalition that let my super group grow without having to suffer some of the pains of a new super group. This is how I was introduced to Otelo who introduced me to the dark side and PVP. I also met the members of the League of Extraordinarily Well-dress Gentlepersons a group who knows how not to take the game too seriously. While a new fledgling to PVP, I was also introduced to Old School and Paragon Elite in a cross server PVP tournament that for us didn’t end up well, but Old School ended up going on to win the test server championship after that. Watching how well they played the game back then gave me a goal I needed to strive toward. I knew then I had still much to learn.

Most of that is behind me right now, JC Angelo was ran from the game by an individual Co-leader who cleared out the enhancements and salvage that was stored with-in the SG; the betrayal was too high. Greeblaster retired and hung up his cape to spend a modest life with his family. Most of Old School, House of Blackrock and Paragon Elite quit due to the I13 nerfs of PVP. changes are inevitable which brings a new Era and new challenges that will continue to help shape and define me as player, and I look forward to the challenges and the people I meet along the way. Those who stay and those who go....

Oh and to let you know,

I win here and I win there. So now what!
    Ahhh the good ole days.

    Global: @Neuronia
Character: Kara Caducaea 50 Emp/Psy Defender

    The locale: Atlas Park
    The teams:

    The Good Guys:

Integrity, featuring yours truly on Emp, Stryker on Emp, El Projinator on Blaster (or was he on Rad?) Syphonics on Sonic, Yosef Vanya on Blaster, Siphonics on Blaster, think we had Psyrene for that match and a Kin. We probably had a fourth Blaster, I think Panthro was still around then but come on that was five years ago, cut me some slack.

    The Bad Guys:

PCJL (Pingu City Justice League) from Champion server.
Iltat, Jester, Jester's Wife and a bunch of other malcontents and ne'er-do-wells. Kat might have been on the team too at that time.

    The Stakes:
If we win we leapfrog PCJL and move into a tie for 5th (or was it fourth) with dUmb...or behind dUmb. Anyway...

We went Jump and they went Storm cos they ALWAYS went Storm. ALWAYS.

(Cutaway to Integrity Vent, it's 9:00 pm Eastern, Sunday.)
(Paraphrasing, it's been five years, srsly)

Proj: "Ok guys, they are going to turtle so so will we."
Yosef: "We can attack them. From where we are on city hall we can hit them with snipes."
Syph: "I'm just gonna sonic nuke them. Kara or Stryker will AB me and I'll phase."
    Proj: "You aren't Nuke-rushing"
    Stryker: "I'm not ABing you."
    Kara: "*crickets*"

So we had a Mexican Standoff...neither team moving. You could cut the tension with a knife. We did a /whoall and everyone from Ajax to RoboBug to Hank to like everyone that was on Test were observing. It was crazy tense. It was even more tense since the Devs hadn't randomly taken down Test for a costume fix patch. Craziness.

So at the 1:45 mark Proj gives the "GO!" and Yosef and Siph attack. They get a kill! Ping gets a kill on us too. Tied 1-1 with 1:30 left. Yosef gets another kill! 2-1 with :40 seconds left! I'm in AP (I'm ALWAYS in AP, and I pop greens anyway cos I'm TERRIBLE. Phase is down! Except at the time I carried like two rows of Oranges too. Guess why?) so I start hightailing it.

    Proj: "KARA! PHASE! OMG! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
Me in team chat: "Phase down!!!"
*POP ORANGE* *POP ORANGE* RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN! RUN!

I make it around the stairs, Blaze hits me, Fire Blast hits me, Will Dom from Jester hits me, health goes down, down, down, AP WEARS OFF! Pop greens, MORE greens, I DIE. Or do I? It's been five years, who the hell knows?

    Timer reads:
    0:00

    WE WIN!

There is an audible sigh of relief on Vent, we all cheer like crazy, Ping is laughing his *** off, we all are.

Syph, of course, was afk to watch Heroes cos he ALWAYS AFKs.
    ALWAYS.
"Hey guys, what did I miss?"

    We just keep laughing.

Most fun I've had in this game, no doubt.
Probably the funnest 1:45 I have had in this game. I think I was also on a sonic but it may have been the Rad also, like you said 5yrs ago(hard to believe).

Yeah Flurry is useless but other than that your suggestions to him/her are almost completely wrong for team based PvP. PFF/Phase is the way to go for a team build. If you are the target you just pop a green or two, hit PFF and start evading, let your emps hit you with a heal and tada you have survived the spike, and you always have the panic phase button if you need to but normally you wont need it. He/she won't need the placate proc on a team based toon because in a team environment it is worthless and KO blow...ummm really....again worthless on a team based toon. Does the cheap build need tweaks, yes it does, but not the tweaks you are recommending.
  8. If you are going to go with ice mastery, I would change up the slotting of Frozen Armor, to add a LOTG proc, also switched up a couple other slots, I myself would go with mace mastery for PFF, especially since you will be one of the most called targets since you will be a spike setup person with tk. So between targets I would be in PFF but here is the data chunk with what I changed and it really wasn't that much.

well PvP IO's were a good start, problem being the drop rate is crap and then along came being able to buy them with hero/villian merits so now you can get a PvP reward without ever PvPing.

Another thing is that 5/6 of the people that have written a post in this thread have rarely PvP'd in this game and if they have they did it for the badges............

Now for those of us that have enjoyed this games PvP for quite a long time, the draw was the speed, movement and the co-ordination of the team to get a kill against another team and also that there were multiple roles on each team, not just 6 damage dealers and 2 healers which is pretty much how they are now.

So I would say to repair this games PvP figure out how to make it so that there are different roles on teams again, remove travel suppression and heal decay from zones and get it out of the devs heads that we want to be able to stand around and punch each other to death, there are those that want that but that is something that 2 people can agree to then either make an arena match and turn off travel powers or agree to just stand there or they will decide a place to do it in a zone, but the devs thinking this is how everyone wants their PvP experience to be is just so very incorrect. I can probably add more but 42 hours at work in the last 3 days is making it hard to think, maybe tomorrow I will add some more.

    PvP Feedback

Again, if I have read the initial post correctly, This booster pack would give people the same accolade bonuses in a PvP zone as if they had gotten the accolades that are available to anyone in game for free, and that they wouldn't stack with the current accolades if the character already had them. I don't see how this would make anyone more op'd than anyone else. All it would do is exactly what Mebs said and that is remove the monontony of all the defeat badges, tf's etc., etc. Been playing the game since it started but really running every task force for TFC and doing all the defeats for every character that I make to PvP with is just ridiculous, it wouldn't provide any of the hunt badges or anything like that, the booster pack accolades would just be there in PvP. Just like all the other things that happen when you enter a PvP zone and also if I read correctly it wouldn't be active in PvE. Also the arguments that you would be getting something that others may not be able to have do to money can be said for every single one of the booster packs that have ever been released. I have only bought one booster pack and that is the very first one that was released. Should I complain that people have that secondary mutation power or ninja run but I don't and there is no possible way that I can attain these powers in the game without paying for the booster pack. In this case there are ways to get accolades in the game and not have to buy the pack, so really what is the argument here............

    slotting swift?

No matter what you do, you will still be travel supressed in zones any time you attack, are attacked, heal or buff someone thanks to I13...

i would like it if it cost less than 50 million. thanks
This will be the hard part. Just a miracle proc alone is well over
that. If you play 4 hrs a day 7 days a week on this toon then you should be able to have a bit more to spend than 50 million.
