    It works perfectly except for one small bug. When I hit enter to chat, type my message, hit enter to send the message, the chat box doesn't release focus, so anything i type after sending my message (such as hitting W to run forward) ends up in a long string in my chat box. Anyone else encounter that?

  9. Actually, reading this thread it sounds like we may have stumbled onto the path of fixing the melee ATs.

    What I'm seeing here is that board members don't take confront on their scrappers. Brutes take taunt, and tanks take taunt. So in the hypothetical, since tanks are the lowest damaging AT, then brutes, then scrappers, why not this...

    Remove confront from scrappers, add in a awesome attack (just meaning, nothing unappealing in visual or numbers) that has a chance to critical. This would move scrappers further away from brutes in the dmg department as it should be.

    Remove taunt from brutes, give brutes confront, leave other aggro generating tools in place such as auras. If a brute wants to aggro manage make them learn how to use their auras, or pick up provoke. Otherwise this would move them away from tanks aggro management capabilities.

    Leave tanks as is. Thats right, as is (not withstanding visual changes to make attacks "feel" more powerful and possibly upping threat generation or removing aggro caps)

    The idea here is that it would help each melee class not step on the others toes.
  10. Good to know I'm not the only one having this issue. Bad to know I couldn't buy some points for my rename token. I don't mind doing it through the game, except I didn't see a way to do it with paypal through there. Also, I do prefer the way the website works.

    Toast, I would like to hear your reasoning on why you fully support the current limitations instead of entertaining an idea that could help build the community and possibly cause more people to subscribe to the game and gain full forum access?
  12. Yeah, just one of each, the idea is that right now a Free (Never having spent any money on the game) has access to the current level of forums. Someone who has spent some money on the game as shown by reward tokens, gets an additional level of access to the forums, to get a taste and start becoming even more of the community.

    Hopefully to entice said premium player to subscribe.
  13. Group Fly was useful for PA droppers in old Hami (and yes, people do still run hamis, Justice has at least 3 weekly Hamis). I like the idea of making it like inertial reduction, a click and everyone gets two minutes of fly, barring that, I would like the fly bubble to a little more recognizable, maybe not as transparent? I guess we can do something like with I24 though.

    Never had Team TP, I always thought it was like assemble the team.
  14. Allow premiums with a certain number of reward tokens to select a Server Forum, Archtype Forum, and a For Fun forum outside of what is already available.

    This would help that player to build community with other players possibly causing them to subscribe, or at least buy more points.
  15. It's not fixing everything. I would really like for Tankers:Invincibility to be looked at.

    Logic behind this before every screams for my death --

    Issue 5 - ED -- Due to the way Enhancement Diversification works, Invincibility took a big hit to the amount of Def and ToHit it gives

    Issue 6 - GDN -- All defensive powers in the game get their values cut, another big hit to the amount of Def that Invincibility gives

    (not arguing that invincibility was not overpowered, it was, but we are coming up on the reason to have it looked at)

    Issue -- 8 or 9 -- Circeus (I think, might have been Ice Knight, man that was a long time ago) proved that Invincibility was "pulsing" 3xs as much as it should have been, so it was giving three times the amount of +Def and +ToHit it should have been. Invincibility was then adjusted.

    So because of the timing of the bug discovered, it seems that Invincibility was adjusted off of busted numbers.

    What I would like to see the math on is this, if the invincibility pulse bug had been discovered before I5 and I6, then it's numbers would have been lower when ED and GDN hit, so would it have been adjusted up after those, or would it have been where it had been now?

    Just one of the things on my list of tanker things to be looked at

    And I'm not sure how to fit stalkers in that scale, I see stalkers more with blasters and defenders despite being melee centric.
  18. I agree with the damage cap increase, on a scale, it should look like this

    Code:
    defense -----middle--------offense
    tank---------brute---------scrapper
    So there has to be some mathematical formula somewhere that can justify that diagram.

    Other than that, changes that need to be made,
    Higher taunt mag for willpower.
    Remove/greatly raise the aggro cap for tanks, let a tank learn how much they can handle and learn to taunt accordingly.
    Swap Resist physical damage and tough hide in invulnerability for tanks. (This is really just a pet peeve of mine, they need to be switched but for reasons I'm not going into here)
    Graphical Updates to attacks to make them "feel" more powerful at least.

    Yeah Aries, I knew this particular model had issues. I always saw it described as a fatal flaw that would cause the laptop to just die. With my renewed interest in using the laptop until it dies, I wanted to be able to do everything I can do on my desktop, ie coh. Since I've started researching into this, seems the connection between the fatal flaw and the gpu has been confirmed from what I read. Also from what I read, people are using pennies as heat syncs ( linky )on the gpu which I am going to try, although that is going to be a moot point since the laptop apparently doesn't have the spine to run the game anyway. Maybe I can make it last a few more years and turn it into a dedicated minecraft machine

    I thank you guys for the information and if you have any ideas I'm more than open to listen as I would like to play coh on the laptop while I watch movies etc.

    I'm afraid Hyper is probably right. The laptop may just be to old. Really is a shame to since I'm not quite ready to buy a new one so I was hoping to continue using the hard ware I had.

    Heat may be an issue, it does get very hot when playing a movie or game.

    What I'm experiencing is this, intense, I guess video lag. If I push e to turn, and hold E until I start turning (usually takes 1 or two seconds) then the toon does a 90 degree turn instead of just turning right. FPS is very abysmal, what you might expect from an old school hami raid in terms of FPS.

    When I run the game in safe mode though, responsiveness shoots up to normal, which is what keeps bringing me back to it being a driver issue.

    I was afraid of that. Got this laptop years ago for $475, special edition media laptop etc. Shoulda researched it better but I saw the duo core and 4 gigs of ram and got pulled in.

    So, what do you guys think about maybe running coh in linux on this thing?

    My d: is hp recovery drive.

    My c: drive is quite full, but the partition COH Helper didn't pick up, that partition is 60% free and running ubuntu.
