Wait a sec.... You're forcing us to diversify our enhancements, but reducing all our End costs so that End Red enhancements are less needed and have less of an effect/return?
Um.... Huh? -

As soon as I'm able, I'll invite all of you over to my new digs. It's gonna be a very cool place.

Hmm.... This was a nice hint. You're a new community rep/writer for Tabula Rasa, aren't you? -
There any decent Ill/Emp guides out there? I'd love some insite about slotting for that combination. I hjust can't seem to find enough slots to put into everything that I'd like....

My problem with this sort of logic is that you continuously say that you're making balance changes in order to discourage/prevent herding. However, with these sorts of arguements it's like you're encourgaing people to herd in order to increase their defenses. You don't want people to herd, but your explanations/numbers for this power, as well as Invince, can only be achieved if someone has in fact herded to get that many mobs around you.
It's like saying: "If you herd enough mobs, see how great this power is! We don't want to let you herd though, but boy would this power be great for it!"
What kind of sense does that make?
Also, concerning the addition of Toxic Resist to Permafrost. Does Hoarfrost still contain it's Tocix resist? Together, wouldn't that effectively make it's Toxic resist, enahnced with 6 even level SOs each, 88%? If a person slots Hoarfrost for healing or recharge, that'd still give a 64% Resist to Toxic... Does it seem right to have it's other Defenses/Resist, except for Cold, so low in comparison? -

By the end of the second Image comic, I was horrified, Manticore's actions were bordering on Chaotic Evl - not heroic.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have to disagree. Manticore seems to very much be a "The Ends Justify the Means" kind of hero. Not only that, but he knows that Statesman would sacrifice himself in order for 'his people' to be able to stand for their own again. It might not be the best way of doing it, but Manticore is just helping along with this notion. He'll do whatever it takes to get the job done. Bad decision, good choice. -
Any plans to show a bit more of Numina in the comic anytime soon?

Hmm... How about scheduling your raid window for the same period that the servers are down for daily maintenance?

I'm sure she could spare one or two of those dozens of powers she's got....

What I'm concerned about when it comes to the upgraded graphics is the hardware side of it. Are they going to be upgraded in such a way that some players may be forced to upgrade their video cards to compensate? Or will they upgrade them in such a way that the engine simply won't try to display the new "spit and polish" if the card can't handle it?
-
I'm kind of curious about that TP -> kneel -> shoot stunt as well. I thought that Manticore (that's you, btw) was just some normal guy with a bow?

I posted this answer on another thread, but I'll pass it along here. The new guy from the trailer is Foreshadow.

You might want to update this guide. Since they fixed the bug that allows you told Hold the Head through it's shield, you HAVE to deal with the generators now. It's no longer so easy.

How about giving us some way to leave a match we're observing that hasn't ended yet?
-
Well, since the last thread containing this list has gone *poof*, It would probably be good to get another started. Considering how old, and outdated the previous list was, ultimately this may not be such a bad thing.
So, for all you heroes, and heroines out there who have a SG, tell us a little about your Groups. Name, Contacts, etc. Basically any pertinant information that you'd like to share about your group, what it does, or how to join.
Remember, we're Victory. We have our own /emote. -

I haven't followed the entire thread, but one of the big cosmetic things that I'd like to se is a more organized contact list. For example, much like the Badges window, the contact list would have three tabs. One for contacts that have nothing left for you; ones that you're completely done with. The second tab would be for contacts that have things for you, be they missions or new contacts. The third tab would be for contacts that you are currently on a mission for. This kind of thing would make managing your contacts MUCH easier. By the time you get 20+ contacts, it kind of becomes a hassle trying to deal/manage them all.
-
1) Are there any plans to make the Contacts list easier to manage? At early levels it's not so bad, but when you start getting a few dozen contacts, it starts to get bad.
I mentioned an idea a while back about making the contacts list contain tabs much like the Badges list. One tab would be for contacts that you are completely finished with. Another tab would be for contacts who still have missions and/or new contacts for you. The third tab would be for those contacts who you are currently on a mission for.
Something along those lines would make contact organization much easier.
2) The other question I have is one that I'm sure you get a lot. The ability to move a character from one server to another? -

Mutant: Werewolf by Night (supernatural power that is internally supported), any X-Men, Zelgadis Greywords, Superman (alien, inborn power), Hannibal King, Hulk (his power develops fairly naturally, he rarely tampers with it), any Gold Digger lycanthrope, the High Magus from Rifts (the ones that slowly become creatures of magic), most dragons
[/ QUOTE ]
Some of these I have to disagree with. First of all, remember what the word Mutant means. It implies mutation, or even more loosely, evolved. Superman hasn't mutated. His powers come from a natural effect of sunlight mixing with his species' physiology. Any and every Kryptonian is the same. On the same note, any 'Alien', really, would be a Natural, as long as they're a representative specimen of their race. At least until they put in an Alien AT, that is. They're completely normal and natural for their own people. Let's not be prejudice and judge everything by 'Human' standards, everyone.
Hannibal King? I honestly don't know his origin, although I've read him in several comics. I'd always thought he was 'created' with magic/supernatural powers. I could be wrong, however.
Hulk. Science, easily. It was ascientific accident that triggered his change. It triggered a mutation, yes, however it was still a scientific accident, and not a 'normal/natural' mutation.
Dragons and Gold Digger Lycanthropes, I'd have to both argue are Natural. They are both natural creatures/being/animals that exist in nature (Well, in sci-fi/fantasy reality anyway). Now, Tiamat may be a mutation, however dragons as a whole are not. Dragons are dragons. And since GD Lycanthropes are exist in nature and breed, live, and die like any other creature, and have for millenia, instead of having 'The Curse', they're natural as well.
When classifying something as a Mutation, a good guideline is to determine whether or not the 'character' in question differs from the norm of the species/race that he belongs to. That's the way that I look at it. -

If not increasing the spawn rate, add a contact who hands out level-appropriate Monster-hunting missions (including exemplared people).

I like this idea. Monster Hunting contacts. "Hunt down X Monster. It roams somewhere around X Zone." -

I've been attacked a lot in this thread, people assuming that cause my main was ar/dev blaster (rolled first week, liked the concept) that must be the reason -- truth is, its the 30s grind that makes me not want to play him. I see rolling back the purple patch as the key to making it more fun. The devs see forcing groups of 8 to hunt +4s as the answer (which of course would provide half the advancement rate for toons).
[/ QUOTE ]
So you're upset that you can't take a villian 4+ levels higher than you by yourself? You may be missing one of the points of the game. It's genre is a sort of 'comic book super heroes'. We SHOULDN'T be able to readily solo mobs much higher than our own level. The colors are only a gage of how they compare to us, not of how truely powerful they are. Two different characters may see mobs in different colors depending on their build. That said, I'm also sure that none of us would like to see things function as they would in a comic story arc, where we HAVE to get beaten by the more powerful opponent before we can come back and be victorious at the end of the 3 issue story arc that many formula superhero comics follow.
Let's not take for granted what we have, and assume that we should be bigger than we are. Levels are important for a reason. It's already generous for many of us to be able to take on multiple mobs of the SAME level, as they should be guides and gages. But to complain that you have a hard time with a higher level, more powerful mob? That's the way it's supposed to be. They're higher level. Live with it. Deal with it. In the comics, you always see heroes teaming up with one another to take out more powerful opponents. That's the whole point of teaming up and forming super groups. The Thing can't take Dr Doom by himself. None of the X-Men can take Apocalypse or Magneto by themselves. So they form teams.
Fighting crime solo against 'lesser' criminals is one thing, but teaming up to bring down the truely evil, more powerful bad guys is what the super hero comic genre is all about. And before you start mentioning heros like Superman, Batman, etc., they're uniquely powerful heroes. But even they had to form a team, The Justice League, in order to stop some villians. -
I also have to laugh every time I see someone complain about 'nerfs'. Exactly what have they nerfed? Smoke Grenade? Sorry, that wasn't nerfed, it was merely fixed to work the way that the devs designed/wanted it to work in the first place. By far, whenever they've made balance changes, they haven't nerfed anyone/anything. Instead, they've mainly given boosts to those areas that they feel need the most work. Not weakened others. This is one of the things that I love about this game. That the devs fix what's broken instead of bringing everything else down to balance with it. To be honest, usually when someone's whining about nerfs, they're mainly just whining because their AT isn't getting boosted while other aspects of the game are fixed or brought up into line with how they should be.
So instead of whining because your AT/Powers aren't getting boosted, why don't you just let the Devs fix and resolve any issues/bugs that are brought to their attention. Just because you may not see any problems, it doesn't mean that they aren't out there.
