I have quite honestly never heard that phrase before in my life.
-
WISE FWOM YOUW GWAVE!
I command you my daughter to...wait that's not right. -
Yup.
When I make topics, I like to mention the subject in the title, so people know if it's something they want to read. Topic titles such as "Huh" and "So..." strike me as lazy. -
MA/Regen. Everything else feels so slow and subdued in comparison. It's mainly Crane Kick, I love the animation, the sound, the damage, the knockback, it's the best power in the game as far as I'm concerned.
-
One of my rules: before doing any alchohol, no responsibilities or anywhere to go for at least 24 hours. That way I stay out of trouble.
Edited to make that first sentence less drunk. -
Okay, okay, fine.
Barkeep! A round for the house, on me!
Yes, especially for those that don't drink. You have some Everclear back there, right? This'll be great. -
Ex-addict here, albeit not to alcohol, so I can't really claim to be pure. However I rarely drink, and even more rarely with the intention of actually getting drunk. Three or four times a year for the former, maybe once a year for the latter. And it's usually a social occasion, so no playing on the PC at all is involved. Even on the times when I'm alone and in the mood to imbibe, I'm a really mellow drunk, much more likely to listen to music if anything, most times I just go on to bed.
End result, you'll never see me PUI. I don't consider caffeine a drug, is it not one of the food groups yet? I'm a caffiend.
I don't smoke at all, tried it once, didn't see what I was supposed to be accomplishing. WAY too expensive a habit too. -

I recall a time when that was THE Scrapper combo to have. Quills + Invincible + no herd cap + corner. I didn't do it but a fair few did.
My Scrappers:
MA/Regen 50
Katana/SR 37
DM/Shield 33
DB/Will 31
Claws/Dark 30
BS/Regen 23
MA/Will 10
Fire/Will 8
I've had many over the years, those are the ones that exist today. Clearly MA and Willpower own all. -
I have a friend with solid black hair, who started to go gray in high school. He was less than pleased with this.
I am getting a bald spot on top, I have fine thin hair anyway, and when my hair gets even medium length it appears as though I've been hanging around inside the reactor. I keep it in a crew cut for now, but it won't be many years before I give up and keep it shaved, and then George Carlin's words will ring forever in my ears. (I used to be bright blonde, now I'm a dark blonde. I'm a guy, but sometimes I go red or platinum or gold, just for the heck of it. I think I make a good-looking redhead.)
Oh yeah, I tried growing my hair long, back when I was in high school, and wow, did I look weird. Turns out when my hair gets past a certain length, it curls, but only from right there! Have you seen that Bugs Bunny cartoon where he barbers that orange monster (Edited: Gossamer, thank you Wiki) into looking like Shirley Temple? Yeah. -
I play my Necro/Dark in melee. She has the pets, she's not nuts, but also has Boxing, Kick, and AS, but none of the ranged attacks. Doing fine as of the mid-teens, we'll see how long she can stick it out. When the MM is in melee, the pets seem to need less "go to melee" ordering, and she's in the perfect spot to heal all of them too. Dark is a very good set for this style.

...Are we still talking about dice?
And I'm not sure "coffee party" doesn't have some new meaning either. My imagination is a scary place. -
I have a preference for brunettes myself, but frankly I only say that when people start going on about blondes and redheads. I'm not actually all that picky, can't really afford to be.
I saw that pic of Steampunkette back when she posted it the first time. There's nothing unattractive about her. -
Seriously though, I don't know why this thread is here. A little searching on the OP's part would've easily found Arcanaville's actual website, which includes pics, which are surprisingly NSFW (probably). Oh okay, look, I'll do the hard work FOR you. Geez.

I rather like the word "moist". Granted, it does depend on the context.
"Slimy", now that's an unpleasant word. "Chafed" isn't so great either. "Putrescent" is right out. And I'll stop there. -
She is a true wiz at math. The answer is yes.
...In my mind, anyway. In truth I imagine her as that Italian astronomer who I saw on the History channel, undoubtedly someone knows who I'm talking about and will post her picture. -

Not every build or AT is designed for everyones enjoyment. Just like in Warhammer Online. The only toon I found fun in that game was the Witch Hunter, everything else was meh.
[/ QUOTE ]
I started off playing a Shadow Warrior, but...they have some issues, let's say, in PvP. (Damn that awesome opening movie yet an utter lack of dual-wielding SWs in the game....) Rolled a Witch Hunter, and their attack-attack-attack-BIGattack mechanic made it hard to play anything else at all. I hear ya.
Here I just can't play Tankers. Solo they're just slow as hell for me, and teamed I get bored being an aggro bot. And everybody seems to want you to herd. Gag me. Not a huge fan of Defenders solo either, but teams like you and it's a lot of fun there. Tanker style annoys me BOTH ways. I give up, I'm waiting for either Axe Scrappers or Rogue Brutes to fill that particular concept. -
Yes, Sea Witch (EB/Hero version) gives some characters utter fits, and others can just roll over her. She can also vary widely in difficulty even on the SAME character, owning you in seconds at first and then getting owned herself when you come back. I've faced her with several different characters, some had no issue, others faceplanted several times.
My Gravity/Ice Dom took her easily.
Mercs/Poison had a heck of a time, probably because she was on a full team at the time, Sea Witch was a Hero, and the Scrapyarders kept popping up causing distractions. (This was pre-Bodyguard days, btw.) Team broke up due to all the deaths. Came back solo next day and beat her pretty handily.
Thugs/Dark beat her down rather pathetically.
Bots/FF got schooled by her once, came back and it was like I was facing a different enemy, one that didn't slot for accuracy. Maybe the RNG smiled upon me the second time. Strangest thing.
Edited: Like Steel above said, those Scrapyarders and LC can make the fight a lot more difficult. (They seem to spawn infinitely in that mission too, though I can't say for certain. I've been on teams that have cleared the map first, only to have more pop up from somewhere. Considering the story of that arc though....) -
Same as The Player here, 60 months but lapsed a little under 2 during...a bad time, let's say. I believe I'll get the reward in mid-June, but maybe July.
First thing I'm doing with it is swapping out Hasten on my Katana/SR for another attack. She's fast enough without it and I want Gambler's Cut. Other characters might get respecs too. -
I'm with Samuel_Tow et al, give me loads of mooks to mow down (especially ones described in the third paragraph there), sprinkled with the occasional tougher foe, and I am a happy gamer. If there was a setting just below Heroic/Villainous, called CRUSHKILLDESTROY maybe, with large spawns of blues and greens, I'd stay there pretty much all the time, cackling madly as I rampage. (And no, I wouldn't get bored, I still fire up Diablo 2 and Painkiller to this day, just for the sake of throwing Frozen Orbs or firing Shurikens, respectively.)
It's been suggested that there be a much more prevalent use of the Underling type enemies for just this sort of long-day-at-work-and-I-just-want-to-chill-out-violently type of player, and I for one approve. -
Even though you already have one, I'd like to propose this one for Statesman anyway.

(i'm not adding a quote but lol this is probably one of the best 'face to face plants' I've ever seen.)
[/ QUOTE ](I'm not either, but I had one that topped this. Instead of Face to face, the poor defender was face-to-crotch.)

(Also not entering, mainly because Cyberforce has already won quite handily, but I would like to take this opportunity to cringe at that UI color, and outright convulse at that inspiration tray.) -

Sorry, you forgot to mention the Forum Cartel. No paranoid conspiracy theory is complete without mentioning the Forum Cartel. -10 points for you.
[/ QUOTE ]
Using the actual words "Forum Cartel", however, is almost always a sign of parody. The true paranoid uses terms such as "forumites" and especially "you people", and alludes vaguely to "they". S/he will always address one person as representative of the whole, regardless of post count, reg date, or fame.
At the end of the post, assurances that the oppressed poster will "stand strong" in the face of such obvious adversity are a must, and pre-emptive flames will usually follow. -
Heh, I saw that pic in the first post, and said to myself "Broadsword and some sort of techy-looking Shield, definitely". (Ideally some sort of Energy Blade, honestly, but Broadsword would do.) Glad I read to the end of the thread before I posted that idea. That's an excellent name too, grats on it.
Also, Ice/Devices is an awesome combination. Not the fastest in kill speed obviously, but it's hella fun to plant bombs in spawns, and holding a nasty boss helpless while you rig explosives at his feet has a certain appeal. (This sort of cruelty is best savored when a boss has done something particularly vile.) -
First, gotta give a hearty thanks for these pics. First thread I've five-starred in a long time, and in fact my rating was the first last night. I've disagreed with you about various things in the past, and probably will again, but for right now I've decided you're alright.
Only problem I had was getting these to go to my Blackberry. Had a heck of a time last night with the software that's supposed to allow that, it just wasn't working. If anyone else had this problem transferring them, here's what I did to fix it (after way too much fumbling): Email whichever pic to yourself (at the account you use the Blackberry for), open the attachment on the phone, save it via the menu, and there should be an option to set it as home screen. No need for cables at all, assuming you can pull down email with your phone. I chose the Maelstrom-cocking-the-pistol one myself, and wow, it's perfect, lines up just right with no resizing needed. (There are borders on each side, but they're dark grey and blend in well.) I've no experience with other types of phones, but I'd think the process would be pretty similar.
Anyway, thanks for these. I'm saving the Ghost Widow one too.
