Concept/Name idea for this costume?

My only problem is, I can't think of a name/powerset/concept to go with the costume. I'm a little picky about what I make, sadly.
Rules:
- Has to be space/alien themed as I run a sg with this theme
- No /Devices blasters whatsoever!

Randomly I was actually just looking up names and I came across "Blaster Woman". She's currently a AR/Energy blaster. What do you think? Sound too corny?
I have a controller named 'Thermal Kinetic', and a scrapper named 'iClawed'.
If it makes you happy, who cares if it's corny and/or lame? :3
I still say she looks like a grav troller. Too bad AR doesn't get the nifty ray guns that bot MMs get. Why the /dev hate if you're making her an AR?

Seconded: Wut.
People only bash Devices if they look at a pure damage angle. My feelings on the matter are that if you're not going to be using your Secondary all that much to start with, why does it matter? If you're not taking Energy to blap or Ice for the added control functions, Devices does as much if not more for you in the long haul.
If just because it has more tricks you can use. The only thing Ice or Energy have over Devices are Build Up and a few damage tools. Fun fact: Devices has just under Ice-level mitigation as well (in Caltrops, Taser, Webnade, and Cloaking Device). Mental is another good choice, but there, you're most likely taking it just for Drain Psyche. Elec and Fire? Hah, what's wrong with you, man? If you're not blapping with those, what are you doing?
(DISCLAIMER: This is just my general opinion on blaster secondaries. The end point is that none of them are exactly awful, and it really depends on what you're doing with your Primary that determines which secondary offers more synergistic options. Assault Rifle, honestly, does do a little bit better with a secondary that offers more mitigation and more damage options, but in that case you're better off taking Ice or Mental over Energy. And AR/Devices can still rock the house.
One of my favorite blasters to have riding shotgun is AR/Dev, and he still manages to impress me every single time with just how epic he really is.)

One more question, if I were to make her a broadsword/shield scrapper, how would I work the whole visor/targeting beams into her concept? Thanks for all your help btw guys!

Advanced targeting reticule and HUD readout display. A bit more low-tech then the ACCUAHUD (one of the other combat aura options), but fairly efficient, and you don't have to worry about some odd light source making it hard to read.
Targeting beam could either be a side effect of the targeting system itself, or an intended effect to provide an easier method of coordinating combat assault maneuvers between other members, or even just as an aesthetic choice.
...I spend far too much time thinking of this stuff, don't I?

Wow! Can you believe the name "Space Vanguard" wasn't taken? I'm all set now, thanks for all your help again forum-goers! I'm gonna try to work on getting rocket boots and the Talsorian weapons for her. But you know, first I have to lvl her >.>. So I'm off, later!
Reminded me of the Crey scientists and techs - I was thinking an Ice/ Controller.

Heh, I saw that pic in the first post, and said to myself "Broadsword and some sort of techy-looking Shield, definitely". (Ideally some sort of Energy Blade, honestly, but Broadsword would do.) Glad I read to the end of the thread before I posted that idea. That's an excellent name too, grats on it.
Also, Ice/Devices is an awesome combination. Not the fastest in kill speed obviously, but it's hella fun to plant bombs in spawns, and holding a nasty boss helpless while you rig explosives at his feet has a certain appeal. (This sort of cruelty is best savored when a boss has done something particularly vile.)
